The best All-in-one headphones for Windows PC

Let me cut to the chase. These are extremely premium not only that in construction but also in superior sound. I truly can’t believe how good the sound on top of being an all-in-one headphone that’s perfect for gamers. Why do you ask? Well, Corsair includes Dolby Atmos for headphones on Windows 10. This a heaven for gamers who crave sound from every single direction in the latest games like Gears 5, Call of Duty Warzone, CyberPunk 2077, and more. I was truly blown away by the next-generation sound. Another advantage to the Virtuoso XT I like to talk about of these headphones is the fact that they can connect to your PC and your smartphone simultaneously. This is truly one define feature that’s totally worth the price of these headphones. Playing music from my phone at the same time while Forza Horizon 5 was amazing. Without opening up another music app in Windows or just answering a phone call while you game…Corsair VIRTUOSO RGB Wireless XT delivers a cross-compatibility experience I feel every headphone maker should head towards in the future. Speaking cross-compatibility they work for PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and It’s Bluetooth. I’ve tested PC and PS4 along with Bluetooth. Construction is phenomenal. It’s heavy in the hand but light on top of the head. Every inch feels premium and crafted extremely well. I’ve been using the Corsair VOID Elite series and this goes way beyond the plastics of that model. Chamfer and just give it a look that just looks beautiful near your PC or gaming laptop. More so if you turn off the RGB lights they can have a business appeal to them where you can take them to work or use them in travel. There actually isn’t a lot of setup to the headphones no matter what connection you decide to use. Even the unboxing experience was awesome with these headphones; the box feels good with a easy presentation to you on top of a leather case. The mic feels like it was strand a lot of damage as well but even that has chamfered edges / LED Indicator. The mic sound really good on phone calls with BT as well Zoom calls; everyone could hear me clearly with little to no noise in the background. Buttons on the headphones are right where you need them to be. My concern for some people will be two different volume rockers. One controls the Windows 10 PC volume and the other controls the Bluetooth Volume. I understand why does has to be done as there are two separate connections but some people might accidentally hit the volume rocker instead of the Bluetooth volume on some occasions. There is a Wireless and USB switch; You can switch to Corsair’s Wireless “Slipstream” or just use the USB provided for direct connection. It is USB-C for charging and connection to a PC, AUX port is here Mic mute button, and Bluetooth button to turn on the Bluetooth. They sound truly amazing when listening to…well anything on Windows 10. Such clear sound with the right amount of bass. Here everything just had a really clear sound. There isn’t much to say but just that. Bluetooth sounds really nice and about as good as any manufacture now doing headphones. No complaints with call quality either. The spatial audio sound was jaw-dropping, especially for my first use. The battery lasted me countless hours gaming and charges at a good rate. First off, I recommend that you download the Corsair iCUE software, this is software that will “enhance” your experience with the Virtuoso XT. Here you can set things like the lighting of the headphones and also the EQs. There is a lot here to dive through in the options but you can do much here. Updating the headphones and checking the battery is much easier to observe with the software provided online. The next thing I would recommend you doing is download Dolby Atmos on the Window 10 App Store. This is where the spatial audio comes into play. Of course Resident Evil: Village was the first game I had to test with these headphones. The grin across my face when I can hear every single detail in the castle around me. One of the main villains walks around in the castle with footsteps hitting you in all directions. This really amplifies the intensity I was having with the game. On top of that, you can hear the wind outside the castle in certain locations. These headphones pick up everything the sound team wanted you to hear. One thing I’m curious about with the Virtuoso XT that Corsair doesn’t explain; that these headphones may work for Xbox Series X and Series S due to the fact that that system now supports Dolby Atmos/Vision. I wish they would give a statement for true cross support on this but otherwise, the headphones are good on their own. I can use it on just about any gaming device I own due to BT being implemented. This is something I will be using while gaming for a very long time. I 100% recommend this product to gamers looking to just have an all-in-one. This is the best I’ve use gaming so I’m extremely satisfied.

To buy or not to buy

Corsair Virtusoso Wireless headset claims to offer gaming quality sound, with 4 different ways of connection. On top of that they claim to be one the most versatile headsets out there, allowing you to take them on the go with the ability to connect to just about any media device you may own. The real question comes down to rather or not they can live up to some of the claims and quality that they have been known to produce. I hope this review serves you well in your buying decision. First off i want to talk real briefly about first impression and what you can expect to receive out of the box. The headset packaging is done very well and gives off the illusion of a very high end headset. Out of the box you get the main headset, usb-c cable, mic, wireless usb plug, and 3.5mm cable. They also provide you with this very nice travel case which almost looks like microfiber suede. The packaging and travel case gave off such a good impression i was already expecting to be blown away by sound and design quality. Before we dive in to the likes and dislikes lets get the basics out of the way. Charging is done via the usb-c cable which allows the headset to be used while charging. A full charge took a little under a hour and yielded me about roughly 20 hours of run time all pending your settings of course. This headset does come with two available apps to help set up your settings. You can download Dolby Access which allows you to set up your headset for Dolby quality sound and gives you a real basic equalizer, however i personally do not recommend using this app as the app does not allow you to adjust your equalizer on the fly. Meaning every time you adjust your range settings you have to keep hitting apply in order to hear pitch change. This becomes annoying and was the main reason i ditched the app. The main program your going to want to use is Corsair's iCue software and yes you will need to make sure you have the latest update or the headset will not appear in your menu. Through the iCue software you can adjust your equalizer, mic settings, the rgb lighting on the side of the headset and you also have access to your wireless usb which at this time allows for no settings adjustment. One good thing i will say about the iCue software is the equalizer setting works really well and i was able to get all the adjustment necessary while being able to adjust on the fly. This headset offers slipstream connection which simply put means you can connect wirelessly with super fast speed and long distance. The distance part i can verify as being true as i was able to get about 60 feet away from my usb connection and still have connectivity. The speed part is a little questionable as i experienced multiple drop outs while being only 3 feet away from my wireless usb. In the course of a hour i experienced about six drop outs which lasted about three seconds each. This got annoying fast as it kept taking my attention away from the game. I eventually got annoyed and ran the 3.5 mm cable for better stability. With the ability to run multiple connections this means that you can connect to your pc through the wireless usb and to your phone via Bluetooth. What this does is allows you to be in a game chat and talk to your team while being able to stream music off of your phone and adjust both volumes and outputs separately. This is a nice feature as it allows you to listen to music while you game and gives your teammates some common curtesy as they don't have to listen to your music streaming in through your mic as background noise. That's about all i really want to talk about in the way of some the basic settings. Most info can easily be found under Best Buy's Spec tab. As of right now iCue settings for this headset is very basic but im sure that will all change with future updates. Let's dive in to the real meat of this unit which is design and function. Let me start by saying i focused on testing this unit being a gaming headset and not a audio device for streaming music or movies, even though i did try it under those categories as well. Let's talk design. The unit appears to be very robust and comfortable, and by some aspects it kind of is. In fact this headset is probably one of the most comfortable headsets i have ever owned. Rule of thumb i was always told when it comes to headsets is if you forget you have it on then its comfortable. This headset fits that category perfect however the earcup design and frame feel very flimsy and cheap. The cushions don't seem to create a good seal around the ears and frame feels and sounds hollow. The reason i say this is due to the fact that i got a lot of outside noise pollution getting in. I have three kids so my house can get loud and noise pollution is a really big key factor especially when you are in the middle of a match with other team mates. The weird part about this was that the noise didn't sound like it was bleeding through the earcups but rather it actually sounded like it was bleeding through the back of the frame in to the actual speakers. I could literally hear sound bleeding through the frame on the other side of the speakers which i have never experienced before in any headset i have every owned. Now this headset claims to pretty much have 360 sound which is supposed to give you the upper hand in battle as you can clearly pick up which sound footsteps or bullets are coming from. While this headset does do this, however it does a sub par job at it. Simply put, yes i can hear someone running up on me from the southeast side which is translated to the lower corner of my left ear piece however there is very little to no depth on the sound quality. The volume and quality stay the same all the way to the point to where the other person is actually up on my position. So thanks for telling me that i have a enemy coming in from the east but even bigger thanks for keeping the sound quality the same almost making it impossible to judge distance and time giving me very little advantage. Speaking of sound quality this was another area that fell flat or was rather just average. So let me start by saying do not buy this to listen to music or movies as the drivers in this headset struggle to push out the different ranges necessary to create proper immersion. Your high band frequency are great and give off ample sound as bullets wiz by you however the mids and lows are weak. I like to tweak my bass so that i can hear and feel the vibrations of tanks rolling by or big explosions from a payload kill however these drivers just could not keep up. With my bass setting set to three quarters of the way i still got lots of reverb and static distortion to the point where i had to make sure my setting were not maxed. I honestly thought i was going to blow my speakers out as the drivers pushed hard but struggled to keep up with the very little demand i was asking for. If you wish to try to imagine what im talking about think about cheap subs in a car that rattles everything and has so much static discharge that you can barely pick up the lyrics. Im not saying its that bad but that's about the best way i can describe it. Now mic quality is great. My teammates all came in good and everyone could hear me perfectly. Mic output and controls can all be done through the iCue software. As of writing this review i was not able to find any gate controls for the mic but im sure that will all be added later on. Here's my final take away from this unit. At the end of the day you need to ask yourself what type of gaming you plan on doing with this unit If you plan on doing a lot of FPS competition gaming such as COD, Battlefield, Apex and other such games then yes this headset is going to be a great fit. I say this because chat audio was so crisp and clean that it honestly sounded like i had my buddies in the room with me. Probably one of the cleanest sounded headsets in the way of chat quality. Now if your big in to immersion or mmo's such as WOW, FFXIV, Cyberpunk, Medium, or such games as those, then your gonna want to pass on this unit hard. Immersion is not this units strong suit as audio quality is not the same through the different ranges and frequency bands. The unit will not put out good quality bass, mid rifts are average and do not sound rich. Distance will be hard to judge in horror type games as your never going to truly know just how far away your threat is based off sound. The fact this headset has lots of bleed through and drop outs when used wirelessly means this will constantly break your immersion and pull you back in to reality. I would never consider this headset for a VR set up, EVER. And just to give you a little you a little insight, i am a huge Corsair fan. I have a corsair rapidfire keyboard, crystal series tower, vengeance ram, all my fans are corsair QL and my aio is a corsair as well. I really wanted to fall in love with this headset but owning a lot of Corsair products showed me just what they are capable of and im sorry to say this headset does not live up to what they can do. I also have 5 other wireless headsets that just flat out outperform this unit so its not like im testing this unit blindly. At the end of the day most people may not notice a audio quality issue, especially if you are new to gaming. But if you are a avid gamer or a audiophile then you will definitely notice a difference, especially if you ever owned a quality headset. Im not sure what this price point is going to come in at but if you can get it for a $100 or less then do it. Anything over a $100 i guarantee you can find a better sounding unit.

The Corsair VIRTUOSO RGB Wireless XT Headset might be the first wireless headset I have had that gave me a wireless experience equal to a USB powered alternative. No pops. No distortions. The wireless audio performs just as you'd hope. In a home with numerous Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices, the Virtuoso Wireless XT provides amazing sound over wireless. The Slipstream Wireless Tech along with the 50mm neodymium audio drivers creates great sound. A battery that lasts fifteen hours, a travel case, simultaneous Bluetooth aptX HD phone connection, a USB cable, and a 3.5MM cable with inline volume controls for Nintendo Switch or X-Box controller makes this truly the only headset you need. This is a great headset. Minor quibbles aside, this headset is very easy to recommend. I should say upfront that I received the Corsair VIRTUOSO RGB Wireless XT headset for purposes of providing a fair and unbiased review. Setup: Wired connections are pretty straight forward. Make sure your headset toggle is switched from wireless to wired and then connect via USB or the included 3.5mm cable. Pairing with a phone is pretty straight forward. On the second set of volume controls there is a pairing button. Once paired, you can take calls on your phone and adjust your phone's volume. The pairing button lights up and changes colors to indicate connection with the phone. You can pause / play music or answer phone calls from that button. Set up on PC is easy. The first time you plug in the USB cable or the wireless USB dongle, Windows will install the Dolby Atmos spatial audio app / plugin. You can further configure Dolby Atmos settings from the Dolby Access app. Note, if Atmos Spatial audio is activated, you will be unable to change audio equalizer settings within iCue. The headset will work without any additional software, but if you wish to change lighting, adjust equalizer, update firmware, or change a dozen other settings, you will need the latest iCue Software. I was provided iCue version 4.11.274 for purposes of testing this headset. I can speak from experience that early versions of iCue will not work or detect the headset. So far, lighting choices selected in iCue have synced between computers. Dolby Atmos is a spatial audio toggle setup in windows. Easiest way to turn it on is to right click your volume icon in Windows taskbar, then left click spatial audio, then select Dolby Atmos. Experience: Audio has been impressive with every device I have tested. As stated above, I never noticed any difference between audio quality of wireless or USB wired. Battery life has been very good. I keep switching back and forth between USB and wireless for purposes of testing the set, but so far, the battery has lasted quite a while. Corsair states that the headset should work for 15 hours and that would be consistent with my experience to date. The spatial audio worked well. In FPS games like Titan Fall 2, I could easily pinpoint the location of enemies. The omni directional microphone has done a good job during my calls and online chat sessions. People on the phone have said I sound very clear. Although, I did need to adjust the positioning of the mic more towards my face to keep from sounding a bit muffled to others. The microphone will glow green when on and red when off if you have iCue installed. You can turn the microphone light off in iCue if you find that light a distraction. Speaking of lights, you will need iCue to set up the RGB lights to your liking. You can use color codes to match the RGB lighting to other devices. There are a few built-in lighting options and you can customize a few options within the app. I don't think the lights will wow anyone, but they work. I wish there had been an audio visualizer toggle, but so far I don't see one. I didn't have any problems or conflicts with other lighting software on my PCs. Comfort: These headphones can start to feel a bit warm. The ear covers don't breath as much as a mesh material might. I never found it too distracting, but I wish it breathed a bit better. In USB mode, the USB cable connector keeps hitting my shoulder. It isn't awful, but I wish there was an angled USB-C connector instead of a straight connection. Also, while on the subject of the USB-C to USB-A cable, I wish the cable was a bit longer. Plugged into a USB hub on my desk or on my laptop, it wasn't a big deal, but if you tower is on the floor, you may find the USB cable a bit short. But, these are nitpicks. The headphones adjust well to fit various head sizes. The cushions are pretty thick. they cover my ears well and create a good seal. Other quirks / Bugs: I had problems with iCue on a laptop with a scaled font display. The app would over stretch the display space and was unusable. I tried running the app in compatibility mode, but I couldn't get it to work. This could just be a bug in the version of iCue I was using. I only encountered the problem on one laptop. But, it was a pretty annoying problem. Hopefully a fix is in the works. Conclusion: Nitpicks aside, these have been really nice headphones. I can't get over how well the wireless audio works. No pops. No distortions. No interference. Hours of use and no pops. The added Blue-tooth phone connection is a feature I have only seen on a handful of headsets and I think the Corsair VIRTUOSO RGB Wireless XT is the first headset I have used that actually got it all working flawlessly. Really impressed with the audio quality, the build quality, the battery life, and the compatibility with a wide range of devices. I have been enjoying this headset for a week now. Really want to thank Corsair and Best Buy for giving me the opportunity to review the Corsair VIRTUOSO RGB Wireless XT. Easily Recommend: 5/5

Pros: brushed aluminum, the light up Corsair emblem, good quality sounds, comfortable for long sessions, super clear mic, incredible versatility, lots of customization with the iCue Cordair software (and its easy to use), Dolby Atmos capable, can link the lighting from the headphones to mouse and keyboard Cons: when using the 3.5mm jack (like through an xbox controller) you loose the customer EQ thay you set up in the software, the switch that changes you from wireless to wired is a tad loose so it can make some noise (at first I thought something was rattling around in the driver), I like a little more clamp for a secure fit and better better sound insulation around the ears, love these for gaming but maybe not everything else. With the amount of versatility that went into these headphones; you can tell Corsair wanted to create a headset for all applications. While these are really great for gaming, I dont think they would be great for just everyday music use (the bass isnt quite punchy enough and the trebles arent quite bright enough). These are a mid EQ heavy set of headphones (even with a customized EQ on the software) so for games its perfect because you get clear dialogue and LOTS of detail. These have become my go to headset for gaming and I love that I can go from wireless Switch or PC play to wired xbox play, but they wont be used for ALL applications for me.

I've always used my Sennheiser HD 599 SEs and these new Virtuoso's are my new favorites hands down. They just sound that great to me especially with personal EQ settings. Easily fits my big head with ease. Looks amazing and the RGB Sails just add to the aesthetics. For those wondering, the headset resting on my head was super cushiony and comfy for long gaming sessions and streaming. Though the earpads made my ears pretty warm after a couple of hours. May not affect some, but it wasn't hot, just almost uncomfortable. Downloaded the updated iCUE and the headset was found immediately. EQ alone is what makes this sooooooooo worth it. Comes with 5 presets or create as many custom ones you want. Sound easily drowns out the outside world. RGB is limited to the Sails on the outside of the phones. Not too much customization on that part yet. 4 different ways to connect, Bluetooth, Slipsteam, USB and 3.5mm. You can with BT and SS at the same time. I have also used this for not only PC gaming, but also consoles. Works with my PS5 and Xbox Series X. Mic worked great with no complaints across the board. Btw used these to play RE Village and the 7.1 surround is phenomenal. HIGHLY recommend DLing the Dolby app for PC for Atmos. Worth it.

This is a great headset for gaming. The sound is very crisp. The mic quality is excellent for a gaming. It is comfortable with the foam padding on top. The mic boom can be removed to not have it in your way when you’re not chatting with people. It uses USB C charging which is a plus. It can charge rather quickly. Battery life has been fair. It is capable of being used with the wireless adapter, wired through USB or Bluetooth. It can also be used through the wireless adapter and Bluetooth at the same time which is great for being able to get audio from another source such as music on your phone and gaming from the PC. The clean audio makes hearing directional sound excellent. The only complaint I have with the audio is that the bass is a little bit on the weaker side. However, the compromise may be for easier listening for directional audio. Having said that, this is excellent for gaming, but if you want more bass out of your headphones, then this may not be for you. The price is a bit high, but the quality is there.

Very comfortable, heavy so if you are looking down or up at end range the head set may start sliding off. Mic is the best I have used, and audio quality is perfect. Only wish the range was further as it starts losing connection with wireless at 30 feet, the dual feature with Bluetooth is amazing and awesome for multitaskers like me

Amazing headset for gaming and music! The sound quality is top-notch, with impressive bass and clarity. It's comfortable for long sessions, sits well on the head, and doesn't cause any discomfort even after hours of use. The wireless connection is reliable, and the battery lasts a long time. I've had the VIRTUOSO XT for over a year now, and overall have enjoyed it. Let's dive into the details. First off, the convenience factor is off the charts. I really appreciate that it uses USB-C charging, which means I don't have to fumble around trying to plug it in to charge it. Plus, the addition of Bluetooth is a game-changer. I particularly appreciate its ability to handle both gaming audio and phone calls or music simultaneously, with the option to adjust the volumes individually, allowing me to mute my PC audio or keep both sources playing at the same time. The wireless capability adds to the freedom of movement, which is essential during intense gaming sessions. And the ability to physically mute my microphone with just the push of a button, with a clear indicator showing whether it's muted or not, is incredibly handy. The option to remove the microphone altogether is a nice touch for when I'm not using it. Battery life is decent, although it could be better. I've found it to be sufficient for most gaming sessions, but a longer battery life would certainly be appreciated. Comfort-wise, the headset feels good overall, but it does tend to make me feel a bit hotter with it on, especially during longer gaming sessions. It's not a deal-breaker, but something to keep in mind. As for sound quality, I'm not an audiophile, but it sounds great to my ears. The audio is clear and immersive, perfect for getting lost in the game. Now, onto the downside. The iCue software, while offering some neat customization options, can be buggy at times. I've experienced crashes and freezes, which can be frustrating. I'm hopeful that these issues will be addressed in future updates. Overall, despite its quirks, I would still recommend the CORSAIR VIRTUOSO XT Wireless Gaming Headset. Its combination of convenience, functionality, and solid sound quality make it a worthy addition to any gamer's setup. Here's hoping that the kinks get ironed out soon.

Pros: -Excellent Comfort: Suitable for both small and large ears Great Sound Quality: Impressive audio performance out of the box -High-Quality Microphone: Delivers clear and crisp voice capture -Dual Connectivity: Simultaneous wireless and Bluetooth function works well Cons: -Low Sidetone Volume: Difficult to hear yourself while speaking, which is disappointing Audio Issues: Crackling sound due to driver problems -Software Glitch: iCUE keeps resetting to 8-channel instead of 2-channel audio, requiring manual adjustment after each restart Conclusion: While the Corsair Virtuoso headset offers excellent comfort, sound quality, and microphone performance, the software issues and low sidetone volume are significant drawbacks. If Corsair addresses these problems, the Virtuoso could be a top contender in the gaming headset market.

The Corsair Virtuoso XT is a high-end wireless gaming headset designed for gamers who prioritize audio quality and comfort. Here's a review of the product: Design and Build Quality: The Virtuoso XT features a sleek and premium design with a combination of metal and plastic construction. The headset feels sturdy and well-built, ensuring durability over time. The ear cups are large and well-padded, providing a comfortable fit even during extended gaming sessions. The headband is adjustable and features a memory foam cushion for added comfort. Audio Performance: One of the standout features of the Virtuoso XT is its audio performance. It utilizes high-fidelity 50mm neodymium drivers that deliver excellent sound quality. The headset produces rich and immersive audio, with clear and detailed highs, a punchy mid-range, and satisfying low-end frequencies. Whether you're gaming, listening to music, or watching movies, the audio experience is top-notch. Wireless Connectivity and Battery Life: The Virtuoso XT uses a USB dongle for wireless connectivity, providing a reliable and lag-free connection. The headset supports both 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth, allowing you to connect to multiple devices seamlessly. The wireless range is impressive, providing freedom of movement without losing signal quality. The battery life is decent, offering up to 20 hours of continuous use on a single charge, which should be sufficient for most users. Microphone Quality: The detachable microphone on the Virtuoso XT is excellent. It offers clear and crisp voice transmission, making it suitable for in-game communication and voice chat. The microphone is flexible and adjustable, allowing you to position it for optimal sound pickup. It also has a noise-canceling feature, which helps reduce background noise and enhances voice clarity. Software and Customization: Corsair provides the iCUE software that allows you to customize various settings of the Virtuoso XT. You can adjust the equalizer settings, enable 7.1 surround sound, and create custom audio profiles. The software also allows you to control the RGB lighting on the headset, offering a range of lighting effects and colors to choose from. Comfort and Ergonomics: The Virtuoso XT excels in terms of comfort. The ear cups are spacious and provide a good seal, effectively blocking out external noise. The memory foam padding on the ear cups and headband ensures a comfortable fit, even during long gaming sessions. The headset is also relatively lightweight, minimizing fatigue and allowing for extended use without discomfort. Overall, the Corsair Virtuoso XT is an impressive gaming headset that delivers exceptional audio quality, comfort, and versatility. While it is a premium-priced product, it offers a range of features and customization options that justify the investment for serious gamers or audio enthusiasts.

This happened to be released the same day I was looking for a new wireless set. It's relatively light, though I find the clamp to be a bit too light. Your ears will touch the speakers, so if that bothers you, get the Logitech Pro X's. Speaking of those: Logitech ships with two sets of pads, which the Virtuosos could benefit from, immensely. The included set get uncomfortably warm very quickly, which could've been mitigated by the inclusion of different pads. At this price point, that's a pretty big fail. Other than that, they would be comfortable for long term wear, since they are quite light. I've used them for FPS gaming and watching movies (the movies just to test the whole Atmos thing - they get too warm to wear for a long movie), and the sound quality and spatial audio is very good, and certainly on par with my wired Logitechs. I like the ability to pair a Bluetooth audio source, so I can listen to music with a separate volume control while playing...or take phone calls, for that matter. Great feature. The onboard controls are well laid out, and the sync with iCue is flawless, if you're into that sort of thing. Thankfully the RGB on this is subdued. I'm not a huge fan of round cups, but these are just fine. I'll replace the pads and they'll be near perfect. I wouldn't use them to mix any kind of serious multitrack recording, but that's not what these are for. MP3 sounds just fine through Bluetooth and they actually are quite good as another source to compare mixes through. I'd buy them again if they flew away magically, but for this price it wouldn't kill Corsair's bottom line to include an alternate material ear cup set.

Where to begin.. I know, its expensive.. but you do get what you pay for. Sound quality is excellent, could be a little better in the bass department, but I'm not complaining by any means. Headset is comfortable even during long hours of use and on larger heads. Detachable mic is certainly a plus.. then you dont look like an idiot when you want to wear them on an airplane. Multiple ways to connect to a device. Auto-on/Auto-off feature that actually works well Decent battery life Nice carrying case (which my dog loved so much he chewed it up.. and I cant replace somehow) Price, as I said above, was the only real down side to this headset.. but even then..

The Corsair Virtuoso RGB XT is a phenomenal sounding headset. the comfort and feeling is premium / Luxurious . it doesn't get uncomfortable wearing it for hours on end as well as great sounding mic and detachable too. Nice RGB subtle and than can be unsubtle depending on your taste as well as fantastic battery life. But it is far from perfect or 5 out of 5 (it is 4 out of 5 to me). the clamping force is the weakest link on this headset as well as the default equalizer choice. I'm not on expert on the equalizer stuff but just seemed tuned a little off but now I just use the bass boost which is nice when listening to music and gaming. The Carrying "Case" is more like a cloth handless protector its magnet closes which is kind of okay but the headset is hard to fit in there with other parts it comes with like the mc and slipstream dongle and 3.5 mm Aux. but other than that this headset is worth the investment TLDR is PROS : Luxury Feel Best Quality Mic Great Sound if tuned right Nice amount of RGB Comes Carrying Bag thingy not really a Case Great Battery Life 3.5 aux cable comes with Mute button and volume wheel Bluetooth capabilities CONS : Clamping Force is weak Carrying Case is Cheap and hard to fit the headset in Carrying Case Doesn't fit the accessories super well either (Ease of USE )directions were tricky on how to use it and turn it off and Etc...

This flagship headset from Corsair is a really great headset for gaming, listening to music, watching videos, etc. on your computer. It has Bluetooth capabilities to connect to your phone or other Bluetooth capable devices. My experience using this headset with my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra+ 5G was not pleasant. This headset has no noice cancelling, it let's all the sounds in especially if you are wearing a hat, sunglasses/glasses or anything that will cause the seal between the cup and your head to be broken, the leather type material that covers the cup probably doesn't help either. There is so much outside noise that is actually drowns out the music or whatever you might be listening to on your phone. The quality of sound is absolutely horrible, no bass at all... Sounds like you're listening to one of those treble only speakers that you find at fairs or a warehouse type store. Even with my phone have Dolby Atmos built in and activated it did nothing to improve the sound. As far as using them with my PC, they are great. They're definitely better wired but, even when I use them wirelessly (via Corsairs slipstream technology) the sound is great with Dolby Atmos on. There is plenty of bass and you can also hear foot steps and noises around you. When plugged in they only get better, highest and lows become richer and just sound all around better (plugged in, you get the full scale that these headphones can put out.) The mic... First off, it's detachable so you can use them just as headphones. It has a green/red halo around the mic so you know if you're muted or live, which I think is a great thing. Performance wise, this mic is probably one of the best sounding headset mics I've ever used/heard. It's clear, crisp and doesn't pop when you say/make certain words/sounds. As far as looks, feel and comfort, this headset looks awesome, it looks and feels very high quality. It has aluminum covers and a lot of metal and leather type materials plus memory foam ear cups and headband, it's extremely felxable and doesn't feel like it's going to break if you bend or flex it in any direction. Comfort wise it is comfortable, probably my only complaint is, I wish the cups were a little deeper, I can feel my ear touching the mesh/plastic cover/grill over the driver and it starts to bother me after an hour or so. Conclusion. Overall, this flagship headset from Corsair was worth the money to me... There are some things I would have like to see improved, such as being able to have better sound quality when using it with a mobile device, maybe a set of cups covered with fabric to switch to, to help stop some outsides noises from entering into your ear and I wish the ear cups were a little thicker/deeper to help prevent ear rubbing. I also wish it had better sound quality when using the headset via a mobile device. As far as gaming, listening to music or watching shows or YouTube on PC this are amazing. I feel like the pros out weigh the cons, especially when it comes to sound quality on the device it's meant to be connected to (your PC), the quality of the mic, and the build quality those three things are the reason I give it four stars and I'm still using it today and will probably continue to use it until it doesn't work anymore.

Overall very happy with this purchase. Being able to connect wired, or wirelessly via bluetooth or the included dongle, simultaneously if you'd like, which I regularly do, is awesome! They are so light, with such soft ear cup cushions, that I barely notice there on my head. The sound quality is great too! There are, in my opinion, a couple of downsides though. The light spring-action means they are not squeezing your brain out of your head like with some headphones, but it leads to lots of sliding off the top of my head if I look down or up. Not a big deal for gaming, their primary use, but a bit irritating if I'm using them while doing household chores. The other downside, and the one I would definitely make sure someone was aware of pre-purchase, is there is no Active Noise Canceling. This, again, is no big deal while gaming, at least not at my house, but, with the removable boom mic, these could be great out and about headphones, however without ANC, these really weren't designed for double duty. For the price, this would have been a nice addition, although I can definitely say that I am still very happy with my purchase.

I solely play on PS5. Cannot save eq settings from iCue to headset to use on the headset. Doesn’t matter to me because the sound out of the box is incredible. Bass is perfect. It isn’t too much like with many other brands. I play call of duty and have found that the bass levels in many other headsets are too much where it becomes distracting. I can literally hear everything clearly and have no issues locating footsteps. Ear cups are not good and I would give this 4 stars, but because there are so many options for ear pad replacements on Amazon it’s not a dealbreaker for me. The mic is phenomenal. It is an omnidirectional mic, Corsair does sell a unidirectional mic if that is your preference. Battery isn’t the best but I don’t play more than 2-3 hours at a time and charge it when not in use so battery isn’t an issue for me. It has simultaneous Bluetooth which is a nice luxury to have. The only true con that I have is full price of $270. I wouldn’t pay $270 for these because the Logitech g pro x 2 is slightly cheaper, but if you can land these on sale or open box for $200 or less it’s a no brainer. Hands down, the best headset I have ever used.

I've been eyeing the Corsair XT for months. Watched countless unboxing and comparison videos. Read even more comparison articles. It came down to the mic quality for me. Honestly the mic does sound fantastic. Love the round ear cups because they really do encircle my ears perfectly. The XT's were a must over the other models because of Bluetooth and the fact that they don’t clamp my overly huge head. :) Music and meetings sound clear so no complaints there. I'm actually using this headset for work - it's replacing my Jabra Evolve2 85 which has great ANC but I got tired of people complaining that the mic would drop volume occasionally despite constant firmware and app updates. The one star off is for the heaviness of the XT's and the clunky build. I have long hair so it gets caught in the open sides especially when taking on and off between meetings. Small tradeoff for great sound and best mic - worth it!

This is the first ever gaming headset I bought. I wasn't much into headsets for gaming and prefer my home audio system, but the need to communicate during games without my loud speakers being picked up by my mic made this a must buy. I chose this headset because it is not "screaming" gaming headset. Its design is very reserved and much more luxury looking. Its frame is built from metal but very lightweight, sort of like magnesium like the Zephyrus laptops, though I haven't checked the specs of this headset. There is only one color option available but that is fine with me. The mic is very good. It's not podcast quality, but it picks up your voice clearly with a wide frequency range making it sound like your talking in person rather than over the phone. No cutouts when your talking quietly but it does make pops when your mouth is too close to the mic. Putting a filter over the mic might help. The RGB logos are a nice addition. You can change the colors and do some other cool light configurations from the iCUE application on PCs. I'm not crazy about it and it wasn't something I needed when choosing a headset. Audio is a big factor to me when choosing a headset and it's decent. Out of the box, it sounds boring, light, and harsh. Turn up the volume and audio sounds like a bird chirping in your ear. The mids and highs are very powerful while the low ends are almost non existent. A cool feature with the iCUE is the EQ. It's very limited with lots of "music pulsing" when just raising the decibal slides. Rather than raising frequencies you want to hear more of, you also have to lower the frequencies you want to hear less. This should balance things out and prevent this issue. The downside is that you have to raise your volume a lot more to normalize the audio. For bass savvy people, it still might seem lacking even after adjusting the EQ. You can hear it, but you won't feel it. The longest I have used the headset wirelessly in a game session is 6 hours and the batteries were about halfway gone. They do last a while and I'm sure you can have them charging while using it. I don't have a big head and these still feel tight when using them for more than an hour or two. Stretching them a bit helps. Overall, it's worth the money for many of its qualities. Tweaking the EQ takes time but some people might like the sound straight out the box. To me, it sounds weak. After everything is adjusted, this is a solid headset.

These headphones sound great, but if you have a small head, they may not fit that well. They also weigh a good bit, but overall, the comfort is great and the sound is superb.
