Customers enjoy the superb sound quality and comfortable fit of the VOID RGB ELITE Wireless headset. Many appreciate the long battery life and wireless convenience, along with the customizable RGB lighting. However, some users find the headset to be a bit large and heavy, and the volume control could be improved. A few also noted that the bass response and software could be enhanced.

So far, I've found this gaming headset to be a brilliant headset that delivers good quality sound and comfort. The first thing that I noticed when using these is they are still fairly light for a wireless headset, and how comfortable they are even in extended gaming sessions which are key to any long gaming sessions. The headset is adjustable so can accommodate a variety of different fits and they are padded on the top headband - which is essential for comfort. For sound quality, these do not disappoint! On the PC and the PS4, they sound crisp clear and have an excellent range of volume loudness. I do have to say that on PC that 7.1 surround is a nice touch but not to sound good performance-wise. The headset uses a special USB adapter but works straight away with no fuss with pairing or setting it up. It is rechargeable of course and has lasted through a few good gaming sessions over the weekend with some friends on Minecraft and World of Warcraft and it didn't run down all the way. In all very impressed with the sound and use. The microphone does flip up to mute and down to unmute and there are buttons on the side of the headset for the power and microphone along with a switch that changes EQ and volume. The only thing I wish it had was Bluetooth connectivity or at least a 3.5mm jack so it could connect to a tablet or other mobile gaming device the Switch. The RGB lighting and the EQ settings can be customized using the iCUE software that Corsair provides which lets you change the colors on the earpieces. The software is easy to use and helps coordinate RGB lighting effects with other iCUE enabled RGB devices with ease. I tend to prefer the iCUE software over others because of the UI and how easy it makes it customize all of your devices in one spot. In all, these are great and I'd recommend them to anyone who games on PC and the PS4 as they're overall very solid.

The CORSAIR - VOID RGB ELITE Wireless Stereo Gaming Headset - Carbon can fulfill all of my headset needs. I can use it to play video games, watch videos/movies or just listen to music on my PC. As soon as I plugged in the USB Dongle transmitter, it installed drivers and connected to the headset. It played fine, but with no ability to adjust the sound output. That problem was rectified as soon as I downloaded the iCUE software. The iCUE software allows the necessary fine tuning needed to experience the perfect pitch for the function being used. I was able to switch to surround sound 7.1. I had the ability to chose amongst the five preset sounds: Pure Direct, Movie Theater, FPS Competition, Clear Chat and Base Boost. I could also make my own manual desired adjustment of frequencies. The iCUE software allows the device settings to be changed, the battery strength to be shown, firmware and software updates to be checked for, and mic volume and sidetone (mic feedback) adjustments. Pulling the mic down turns it on and lifting the mic up turns it off. The quality of the sound output cannot be criticized with any negativity. The CORSAIR - VOID RGB ELITE Wireless Stereo Gaming Headset - Carbon is just as good as any headset I’ve had in the past. My ears fit inside the extremely cushiony ear pads with no tightness or discomfort. They can easily be adjusted for head size with the headband adjustment. I can hear all aspects of my gaming experience more clearly. Volume is controlled by pushing up or down a volume Jog dial on the left ear pad. I will enjoy using my CORSAIR - VOID RGB ELITE Wireless Stereo Gaming Headset - Carbon.

The CORSAIR VOID RGB ELITE Wireless Gaming Headset follows in line with many of Corsair's other products. It is reasonably priced, stylish, and it just works. In this case of this VOID headset it works well indeed. I have had many gaming headsets, and dedicated headphones over the years, and for the most part they all provide a pretty good sound experience. For me a good headset needs more these days. Ease of use, versatility, and most importantly COMFORT. The VOID RGB excels in all of these areas. I also have the K57 RGB wireless gaming keyboard, and I was able to use my existing Corsair iCue software to manage the headphones. It is extremely simple and meets my criteria of ease of use. The headset itself is most importantly very comfortable. This is no easy task as I have a huge head. The ear pads are made of memory foam, and I can actually see myself wearing them as long as I need to without strain or discomfort. Sound is fantastic. I am not an audiophile by any means, but I am more than happy with the 7.1 experience that these provide. Game sound is directional, and crisp. I am told the mic also provides crystal clear sound, and I love the ability to mute it through a button on the ear cup or by simply flipping it up. I did a real quick test on the PS4 and it worked as expected. I will be using it for both going forward. For the price there is a whole lot to like here. Based on my recent experiences it seems like that is what Corsair is all about. Give it a shot if you want a versatile, comfortable, and great sounding headset at a very very good price.

I LOVED my Corsair VOID RGB ELITE Headset. I spend most of the day using my headset between online work and social activities, and this headset is one of the most reliable, and comfortable ones I've ever owned. The only issue I ever had was the size of the dongle... and that only became a problem when my puppy got hold of it. XD

I am shocked at how comfortable these are. When I first took them out of the box, I thought that they’d be uncomfortable to wear after an hour or two (like my expensive over the ear headphones are). The way that the ear cups are set at an angle- and pivot separately from the headband— they rest perfectly on my head and I barely notice them. The cushions and headband are lined with memory foam. There’s a wind cover for the mic included in the box. On first use, the mic was barely picking up my voice despite the mic volume being at 100 and I couldn’t figure out what the issue was. After downloading the iCue software and rebooting- the mic was working as expected. There are a few light patterns to pick from if that’s your thing. I notice that if I’m taking calls in Win 10- they sometimes power down unexpectedly. Thankfully there’s voice indication to let me know. Im sure it’s a setting in iCue that I overlooked. Battery life is great so far, but the charging light is really small and it’s difficult to tell when they’re fully charged just from the indicator light. I wish they had a Bluetooth pairing option in addition to pairing with the USB-A receiver. The mute button is on the left ear and the mic has a red light indicator to let you know when the mic is disabled. I love that it’s so much larger than the power button so that I don’t accidentally shut them off. Whether you’re using these for gaming, conferencing or voip calls- you won’t be disappointed with the quality.

I bought this product because i have a corsair scimitar, and used to have some astro tr40 tournament edition wired headset, so i was very spoiled when it came to sound quality. I wasn't expecting alot for the price, but i was pleasantly surprised, the audio quality is pretty close to the wired tr40's and it's wireless! Total game changer here, It can definitely hang with the competition, we will see after a month or two of use but I'm very happy with this headset so far, and i was also surprised to see that it runs Spacial Sound, which is rare for a headset at this price! Definitely a steal! Don't order this shipped though it can get lost! Go curbside pick up or pick up in store.

Corsair's got a reputation for quality hardware - and it shows in his headset. One of the first things you'll notice on unpacking the Void is its significant heft. While most gaming headsets can boast about the build quality, the Void features a lot of metal parts and some very dense plastic that feels like it can stand up to a a lot of punishment. The RGB elements are fairly understated, with a single light on the mic that doubles as a mute indicator and a lighted logo on each side. The padding is thick and quite comfortable without being too hot. If there's one downside to the way it's built though, it's that it lacks a certain degree of flexibility. It sits on your head rather than wrapping around it, making it a bit easier to accidentally knock it off. Audio is crisp, clear, and plenty loud. It's got a bit less bass than some headphones out of the box, but if you do prefer more low tones then it's not that hard to pump them up with an equalizer. Mic performance is very good with or without the included baffle, and I noticed no perceptible lag from the wireless transmitter. All in all, it's one of the better gaming headsets available at this price point.

I love these headphones and they lasted me four years however about 2 years in my mic started to not stay up. I just dealt with it since there is a mute button however it was annoying. I’m probably repurchasing them now that my old pair is on the outs. Good wireless distance, and sound canceling.

Good build quality, lousey dongle, meh sound

PROS: I do like the build quality of these. They are a bit heavy, but that is due to the metal, not plastic, swivel joints. They are robust, and dont see those ever breaking. The fit is good, and the mic is good. CONS: The audio quality is lacking - the bass is muddy, the higs are meh, and profiles only help so much. My BIG gripe is the crap dongle they give you. Old school full-size USB -A stick, and the range is aweful - I can walk away maybe 6 feet if using it on a Mac Mini, and maybe 10 feet away on a windows machine on a USB 3 port. Maybe I got unlucky, not sure if others have this issue, but I should be able to walk to my fridge without it cutting out. No other headset has had this short of a range in the years I have been using them.

    Great Sounding Wireless Headset

The sound is great from this headset with plenty of bass and detail with the 7.1 surround sound. Besides the sound here are a few things I like about the headset: - 10 different locking positions on each side of the headset for custom sizing that stays in place - convenient volume control on the left ear - microphone that automatically switches to mute when moved to the upright position - 16 hours of battery life when fully charged - relatively light weight with ample padding to rest comfortably on your head for long periods With all those features that I like, there was really only one nitpick for me and that was the lack of tightness around the ear. I feel they could use a little more inward force to fit more snug to my ears. All in all, this is a well built headset that gives you your money's worth in quality and sound.

Out of the box, you get a stereo headset with a very good range. After downloading the iCUE software, you have access to other controls and settings on the PC. What's great with the iCUE software is now on the PC, you get 7.1 virtual surround. The bad is that 7.1 is only available on the PC. Headset is pretty comfortable for gaming, however extended gaming sessions, you begin to feel the weight of the headset and your ears start to feel discomfort. Sound quality is pretty good, but the bass response lacks depth during explosions. Overall, it's a very good headset with good build quality. Has decent sound and excellent wireless range.

I wish Best Buy gave the ability to give 1/2 star ratings - these would get a 4.5 . They're rated for 16 hours wireless activity. I've yet to use them for 16 hours , more like 10 but they show no signs of slowing down! No doubts they will go the whole 16 hours! Sound is very crisp, but is lacking just a little on the low end. Volume is superb, they just don't give the bass quite as well as a regular headset would. Seems manufacturers want to cut the bass a little in exchange for a microphone. Oh well - they're great headphones and sure anyone who tries them will enjoy them!

    Sound great... when they work

I had owned the Corsair Void Pro wireless headset for just under two years before they started having some crackling and audio issues. I had the Geek Squad protection plan and used that to replace them with these, the updated version. The Corsair Void Elite wireless headset was definitely an improvement in overall sound quality and construction. I was initially very happy with them and would have liked to keep them. However, about two months in to ownership they started to develop an all too familiar crackling sound, this time coupled with a disconnection issue to my PC. The headset would work fine with no issues for an extended period of time, but intermittently, and without any specific cause, they would disconnect and reconnect multiple times within a few seconds. Ultimately they would reconnect and work for a while longer, but this is definitely not an issue i could deal with long term. Whether it was interrupting a simple video game, or a very important call, the problem was becoming too consistent after only two months of use. I spent many hours online searching for a solution, and it seems as though i am not the only to experience this issue. Updating firmware on the headset, updating the iCue software, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers. Nothing seemed to resolve it. I ultimately returned these and chose a different brand. I have always been a fan of corsair, owning a corsair keyboard, mouse, and many fans for my PC. But after one moderate, and one poor experience with their wireless headsets, i will avoid any wireless headset from corsair in the future.

    After a year of usage

So, I’ve extensively used this headset for a year, 6-7 hours a day of gaming, transporting it in the trunk, dropping it many times… It still holds up, build quality is pretty decent. Mic works perfectly for me, especially on discord, it’s the cleanest mic to talk to in this price range. The only 2 downsides are: 1) the battery WILL degrade, I replaced mine yesterday pretty easily in 5 mins, got a better battery for $15, so that worked out 2) the microphone arm will get loose, it’s also an easy fix, open up the left earphone and tighten 2 screws that hold the microphone in and that’s it. All in all, if you’re thinking about getting a decent headset for gaming, this is the one, probably the best in the price range, just make sure to download the corsair icue software so you get 100% out of your mic noise cancellation Definitely recommend buying this

Good performance for price for a wireless headset. I'm not an audiophile but I was worried about lag, I don't really notice any. I use on PC. The guys I play with say the sound quality is good\fine through the headsets microphone. I haven't played around with RGB settings or anything, I don't even know if you can? But the headset does light up and it cycles through colors. I would recommend, but again I'm not an audiophile so all I can tell you is it works as advertised.

    Bulky Headphones

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

There are some advantages to the Corsair Void RGB headphones, but they are many disadvantages to them as well. While some of the features make these appealing, the disadvantages can be deal breakers. First off lets start with the fit and comfort, the headphones were not designed very well in my opinion. They have a very wide headband with medal bars on each ear, which makes them swivel. Due to this design, they are very bulky and the weight of them is so unbalanced that they slide down from your head. The ear pieces are made of a cloth mesh, which is fine for the most part, (although if they used the same material that the mic is made out of, this might make them stay on your ears better). The mic which does not detach is made of a rubberized material, you can move it up to auto mute it, or turn it on by keeping it in the down position. There is a volume toggle located on the left ear which can also be pressed in to activate 7.1 surround or stereo sound. The headphones can be connected to either your PC or a PS4, but if connected to the PS4 there is no volume controls, you'll have to change the vol through the controller. When you connect them to your PC, you want to go and download the software from their website called icue. Through this software is where you can customize the lighting, as well as the lighting effects. I'm not really sure of the point to lighting on the ears, as you can't even see it... The sound of the headphones are actually pretty good. The 7.1 surround effect sounds pretty good and is well simulated. There is a good amount of bass to the headphones, as well as the treble is good as well. Corsair seemed to have done a good job calibrating these. Overall, the Void RGB headphones are not the best gaming headphones out there, as there are too many flaws that outweigh the pro's. The biggest issue for me was the way they fit (or don't fit in my case). These were made just too bulky with not enough support to stay on my head. Also the lack of volume controls for the PS4 is really annoying as well. Although, when I managed to get them to stay on my head, they do sound quit nice. Sadly, I would not be able to recommend these to anyone though.

Only complaint is that the charging connection is microUSB. Within two weeks of only plugging it in to charge, the cable had some trouble getting a good connection with the headset. Otherwise, quality and range are good for a 2.4ghz headset.
