I like this Corsair thermal paste. it gets the job done that I need it for and it is easy and simple to use on any computer CPU or GPU, or as a replacement thermal past for just about any gaming system that needs its thermal paste replaced like any of the previous generation PlayStation or Xbox consoles or the Nintendo switch or other similar consoles computers or laptop. Or just about any device that ur gaming on from pc/laptops to stationery/ portable gaming consoles

I have been building pcs for a couple decades now and this XTM70 Extreme Performance Thermal Paste is on par with the big names like Thermal Grizzly, Noctua, and Arctic. Super easy to apply compared to some but performance is great. I used this on my gaming laptop, had Thermal Grizzly on there for just over a year, and temps dropped 10 degrees. Put this on my new PC build and my CPU thermals have been icy! It is slightly over priced maybe $5 but the performance is worth it.

Spread nice and evenly. My old thermal paste was garbage. This stuff was just what the doctor ordered temps went from 80-82C to 72-74C when doing some heavy gaming without the cooling pad. Good stuff.. kinda pricey compared to other thermal paste on the market

One of the best thermal pastes I’ve used. Easy to apply with the included spreader, and temps dropped noticeably on my Ryzen 7 7800X3D build. Highly recommend if you’re doing a new build or a repaste. It’s premium for a reason.

This thermal paste has been my absolute favorite to use on my intel i9 285k ultra. It keeps the temperatures fairly low even during intensive activities like gaming and streaming at the same time.

Good thermal paste the price and ability to just go to a store and pick it up. It ranks in the top for a paste that can be grabbed last minute when needed.

It’s a highly effective option for keeping high-performance processors, GPUs, and consoles cool. It offers excellent thermal transfer capabilities, making it suitable for CPUs with TDPs up to 250W or higher, including during overclocking. It’s easy to apply, thanks to its low viscosity and included applicator kit, and its ability to improve system temperatures significantly

This stuff has NEVER let me down. I notice a huge difference when I put this on not only mine, but friends computers whenever I help them with their upgrades. Highly recommend for new builds, and can significantly make a difference with the newer i7s and i9s, as they do tend to get hot when gaming. This stuff is worth the price.

Thermal paste gets the job done. Temps are good but I used it on an Intel core ultra 9 285k which dosnt get hot at all compared to prior generation chips like the 14900k or 13900k.
Overall it’s a great paste and completely worth it but be warned, just like all thermal pastes you have to replace it every few years. If that’s something you don’t want to deal with I would go with a thermal sheet, like the Thermal Grizzly Cryosheet.

The Corsair XTM70 thermal paste delivered excellent results. Installation was easy thanks to the smooth consistency, and it spread evenly without any mess. After applying it, I saw noticeably lower and more stable CPU temperatures, even under heavy loads.
It feels high quality and performs exactly as advertised, making it a great choice for both new builds and upgrades. If you want reliable thermal performance and a hassle-free application, XTM70 is a solid pick.

Great for PS4 Pro! Plus a couple tips

Got a cheap PS4 Pro and it was running like a jet engine, and while I know they like to run loud, it was so loud that running almost any game made it louder than my TV. Spider-man made it go crazy. Thought it would be a fun project to repaste a console since I've never done that before and knew I was going to be working on my PC's CPU soon after, and since thermal paste is basically the only thing I can really do to improve the ps4 pro's thermal performance, and wanted to just go pick up something local real fast, I swung by Best Buy and got this. And yeah the fans were dirty, and the heat sink once opened up had about a 5th of it blocked off with lint, so it did need cleaning, but i saw online that simply cleaning was often not enough for the super loud ones, and yeah the original paste on their was minimal and very dry and I couldn't easily clean it off so some of it just ended up on the little nodes around the SOC. Not a big deal just annoying.
The process is super easy, just find a video guide, but a few important notes:
1. The power supply header on the motherboard is insanely fragile. I tried to following the advice of forums to instead pull it from the power supply and leave it connected to the motherboard, but unlike what people said online the connection to the power supply was just as tight for me, and as I tried to pull it out, I managed yank it out with enough force that it just came right off the motherboard anyway like it was nothing. Be very careful because that was an $80 repair for a guy at a local shop to run a retrace because a tiny sliver of silicon came with one of the metal prongs of the header. It can be done but this is a common mistake judging by online forums. The actual repaste is easy as many of the comments on tear-down videos by novices like me will tell you, and it's kinda fun too, but that one issue makes it risky and I didn't see any comments or warnings about it until afterwards. In all my time as a casual enthusiast building PCs I've never run into a cable and header that were as tight and fragile as that. Should have been more careful.
2. The thermal pads for the memory (there are set of black and then deeper in a set of pink) are very easy to lose. Some are stuck like glue to the metal and some are just kinda like a weak sticker and can blow off when you use compressed air on the heat sink. Just keep an eye out. If they do fall off just put them back on. If they get dirty just lightly pad them with an alcohol wipe.
3. You will need security torx screws (+ a tiny computer repair style Phillips). I got a set of security torx that had all the way down to T8 and I'm pretty sure that's the one I used. It definitely wasn't T9 since my set didn't include T9. I think that may be a vanilla PS4 thing not sure.
4. Don't be crazy crazy with with how much you apply, because the SOC is small but also its not a huge deal. I put a fat rice grain thick line down the whole middle top to bottom. One positive of this thermal paste is that its easier to squeeze out than some I've used like the Noctua H1 stuff, but its also kinda sticky so trying the little clear applicator credit card thing on the tiny SOC was kinda pointless lol.
Definitely worth it in the end. The console is like 90% quieter. I tried things like Spider-Man, and the demo for Epic Mickey since that has an unlocked framerate and neither made it hit top speed. Loud enough to be noticeable, but still the quietest I've heard a PS4 Pro. Recommend.
