I loved watching this series on TV and when I saw that it was on sale at Best Buy I quickly snatched it up. Fantastic show with excellent visual effects and the one and only Neil DeGrasse Tyson.

Carl Sagan's legacy is in great hands with professor Tyson & Ann Druyan, as well as Seth technology improves the view as science improves the tools for gathering knowledge. We still stand on the shoulders of giants, but now one of them is Carl Sagan! I hope that we don't have to wait another generation, for the next one.

This DVD hit it out of the park. Great content, and was exactly what I expected. I hadn't seen the series prior to purchasing, and I was really happy that I pulled the trigger on the purchase. Got a great value with this on sale. I would recommend this to any space enthusiast.

Cosmos on Blu-ray is visually stunning! It's extremely fun and this is a must have for any one who enjoys entertaining and intellectually stimulating content. I'm very happy that the reboot of cosmos built upon Carl Sagan's original vision utilizing every state of the art graphic and special-effects available.

Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey is an excellent educational series for all ages. The series provides a very interesting and exciting journey across the universe. The blu ray set provides some amazing visual effects and is hosted very well by Neil DeGrasse Tyson. An excellent addition to any blu ray collection.

Saw some of the episodes on my 70" LCD. It looked great but could tell there was more there. ALSO the commercials were killing the flow of the show. THIS blu ray looks stunning and NO commercials. NEIL is this generations biggest rock star. Tells the truth about science that is badly needed in this day and age.

I really enjoyed this TV series. I watched it as it came on every week during it's TV run and now get to enjoy it multiple times. Neil Tyson was splendid as the host and narrator. Very educational and mesmerizing to watch. The effects and stories were amazing.

Even if you're not out to save the planet every one should see this series once even if you're not a fan of the old series like I am. Of the two shows this is the only one available on Blu-ray with greatly improved sound and visual effects. And at this price for a 4 disc set you cant beat it.

An excellent successor to the Carl Sagan's 1980s series and made for the common viewer to watch and and enjoy with the family. With host Neil deGrasse Tyson, the series touches on history of the universe and the history of man and the possibilities to explore the unknown.

Cosmos is such an interesting series. Carl Sagan initially presented the ideas within the series and actually influenced the new host - Neil DeGrasse Tyson. Neil does an excellent job picking up from Sagan with this follow-up and puts his own spin on the topics covered over the 13 episodes.

I love the Cosmos series with Carl Sagan. And absolutely love Astronomer Neil DeGrasse. Both people invoke such curiosity and love of astronomy. If I were able to have a new career, astronomy would certainly be it especially because of these two people.

I teach astronomy, and this is a series that captures the attention of the students. For teachers looking for worksheets for their students to complete while watching the episodes, do a quick Google search for "Cosmos worksheets." These episodes are best for students in grades 9-12.

A great tribute and reimagining from Carl Sagan's version. The new host Neil deGrasse Tyson does an incredible job of explaining the beginning of life within the universe and the accomplishments of mankind's discovery of the cosmos.

Cosmos is presented in a way that engages it's viewers and provokes thoughtful discussions amongst those that watches it. Despite some ore the recent negative press for Neil Degrasse Tyson, I believe that he did a fantastic job making Cosmos an interesting and insightful show.

I watched this series on broadcast TV before but wanted to watch again with my kids so I bough the blu ray disc. It is a great tool for kids and adults alike to get familiar with our universe and its mysteries. The visuals are stunning and video is of reference quality.

Mr Neil deGrasse is not only an expert in his area but is also an amazing narrator to tell us histories about the universe around us that could be so boring but he brings it in a way that every time you look to the skies you get more passion to it. Excellent series!

Neil DeGrasse Tyson is a perfect choice to host this update of Carl Sagan's classic TV series. I watched the original when it was first broadcast, and was extremely excited when I heard it was getting an update. Tyson did not disappoint.

I could spend hours on hours watching Cosmos. So enlightening and intuitive. I love the way they break it all down for you with excellent examples and illustrations instead of boring you to death with a bad film and monotonous dialogue. 2 thumbs way up.

I just can't say enough good things about this series. It is well done with lots of cool visuals and a very a cool history of science, the earth and space. Neil DeGrasse Tyson is the perfect host for this series and is fun to watch and learn from.

Visuals are fantastic and you learn a lot. Unfortunately my 10 year old was not interested in watching it but I enjoyed it. If you like science you will love NDT as the host, he makes it fun and interesting
