One Of The Best Anime Dubs, Hands Down

This is one of the first anime imports that I actually had the chance to see in theaters. It was amazing then. It's amazing now. The animation is top-notch, with few exceptions. It is a perfect extension of the series, fitting in right between episodes 23 and 24, which helps to explain why Spike gets so moody all of a sudden from one episode to the next. Everybody's back, and it's as if they never left their parts. They need to make more of these. But, I'll settle for this, since is just doesn't get any better. If you don't own this already, I can't recommend buying this enough.

The great thing about Cowboy Bebop - apart from being the quintessential anime even for people who don't like anime - is that, with exceptions, you can dive into any episode and get a great sense of the world, its characters, and its rules, and the movie is a great example, touching on all the character themes and quirks present in the series with the added bonus of feature film-quality animation.

For all anime fans of this series, this movie is a must-have!!! If you finished the series, and wished there were more adventures for the Bebop Crew, this movie is what your looking for. Expect the same from the series, but with more music, more action, more situations that the Bebop crew mess up or plan to stop an attack that is imminent!

Found this collectible bluray steelbook edition while randomly browsing best buy one. It's one of our favorite animes so I had to pick it up. The movie fits right in with the series. Space bounty hunters with a bit of a noir feel.

"Cowboy Bebop" is a modern-day masterpiece and this movie is no exception. True fans need to have this in their collection. Even though I'm not a huge steelbook fan, this is one item I'm letting that slide on.

This steel book is great. Video is excellent, audio is now in 5.1 surround, an impressive upgrade to the bare bones bluray released years ago and in a steel book!

People seem to think Spike's story stopped on the steps of that chapel, but whether you believe that is up to personal perception. I believe Cowboy Bebop the Movie picks up right after Real Folk Blues part 11, and we're missing a bit of story as the gang gets back together simply because they're so amazing! Entire Cowboy Bebop the Movie. This is a bare bones entry with high fidelity but no perks. The movie has two options; listen to the innate Japanese dialogue with subs, or choose the (better) English voice over cast without subs. There are no extra features, director's commentary or even sneak peeks on this Blu-ray outing. It is also just the Blu-ray, no extra DVD. The style is akin to Ghost in the Shell SAG, in other words supporting cast people are drawn with more natural faces. Not the ADV 90's faces with huge expressional eyes from the series. They all look the same, don't get me wrong. But aside from Ed, everyone looks like drawn homologs of real people. The colors are drastically brighter than the series. Blues are way blue, gold and reds pop, there's actually green, this is not the same palette we see aboard the Bebop. The transfer is from Sony and it's so precise that you can see the shadows of the cels! That's clean. The story is pretty simple, Spike tries to thwart a terrorist with a secret past, a major metropolitan population on Mars is at stake, there's a third party involved, Faye somehow get's kidnapped AGAIN providing gratuitous fan service, the movie is filled with familiar tropes and territory. But it is nonetheless a thoroughly enjoyable ride and worth your time. And when can you ever go wrong with more Bebop? Recommended.

Before hearing about Cowboy Bebop: The Movie, I heard of the anime show. That was back when I wasn't into Japanese anime at all. A friend of mine told me how there was this anime he saw that was like Firefly but as a western in the future that follows bounty hunters. I was intrigued by the sound of it but never got around to watching it. Then years later, I'm in Best Buy checking out the anime sale they had, and I see that Cowboy Bebop: The Movie was on sale so I get it. I watch it as soon as I get home and am absolutely blown away with how good it was. Here you have 4 characters and a dog who have more heart and personality in a movie based off of a good anime show and it's incredibly interesting. I didn't know anything about the characters but I connected and cared about them all, even the villain in the movie who's a bomber; you understand his reasoning behind his plans. It's a noir/action movie that's a great place to start with anime if you haven't given it a shot.

It's going to be tough trying to nail a series again like Bebop. Even the movie is better than most other series' movies. I'm not going to spoil the plot or the characters any, but I will tell you that even in 2016 this animation pops off the screen on Blu-ray. I'm not a fan of how the movie is inherently in Japanese with Subtitles and not the American dub (voiceover for Bebop is one of those where the English cast is faaaar better than the Japanese cast, like Dragon Ball Z). But this is a minor toggle. Also, there's no bonus features on this outing. Still, if you want to see Faye, Spike, Ein, Ed and ol' grumpy face again and you've watched the cartoons over and over and over on CN, pick up this movie. It's a solid change of pace and good movie.

This movie is fantastic. Even though it takes place during the series it's still crazy impressive in all departments. The whole cast is back and amazing as always, the animation is upped because it's a feature film, and the story is fantastic just like the series. The only problem is the extras, but that isn't the films fault. 90% of anime out there will have incredibly bad extras. It's always trailers, tv commercial spots, 1 commentary, and a gallery. But don't let that hinder you from buying this because it is fantastic

Cowboy Bebop is a legendary series. An unusual blend genres that form an unforgettable cocktail of high-stakes action. The movie is set near the end of the original series, so newbies are greatly advised to watch up to at least the 23rd episode before watching if they want to have a good understanding of the characters. Like an extended episode of the series, the film sees Spike and the crew of the Bebop on the hunt for fortune, ultimately leading to a conflict full of masterfully animated kung fu and Hollywood-style shootouts.

Cowboy Bebop has earned a large following among anime fans since it's debut in 1999. This movie was released several years after the show ended but takes place before the series finale for reasons obvious to anyone that has seen the show. The only complaint I have about this release is that the 5.1 audio track from the DVD release is absent meaning that you will gain a substantial improvement in video quality but have to settle for a 2.0 audio track.

Cowboy Bebop the Movie is everything great about the anime series all balled into a fun feature length film. The characters are instantly memorable, the plots are intriguing, and the animation is excellent. While you can watch the whole anime series without the movie, this film is the icing on the cake. Definitely worth the time to watch and a must-have for the price

As always anime films are pretty over the top compared to the source material, but this one fits perfectly alongside the rest of the series. Many quips and other things are so close to the show that it honestly felt like the original show. It was very interesting and the quality of the Blu-ray was definitely solid!

For fans of the awesome space cowboy anime series Cowboy Bebop, this movie is a perfect spin-off from the series. By that I mean it's basically just a long episode fitting into the series before the end and it is not a sequel as many fans would have liked. That being said, it's still a great movie and a great story.

I picked this up in the process of upgrading most of my DVD collection to Blu-Ray, and going back to watch it again brings a lot of nostalgia back to me. It's been a while since I'd seen it last, but this is going to make its regular rotation into my seasonal Halloween movies I watch every year.

The chances are good that, if you've seen the main series of Cowboy Bebop, you know of this movie. If so, there's no reason to not pick this up, since it's one more adventure for Spike and the gang and is more or less a feature-length episode. If you haven't seen the series, this is still a pretty fun watch as a standalone movie. Prior knowledge of the characters helps, but it's not necessarily required. It might even be an inexpensive way to find out if you'd enjoy the full series, since if you like this, you'll like the whole package.

This is a great anime. At first I wasn't a fan of the music, but it grows on you and works for the movie/show. I hadn't watched any of the series before watching the movie, so you don't have to worry about coming in cold. I'm now watching the series and enjoying that as well.
