My son wanted to get this for his sister 6 year old sister. It was the perfect gift and as you can tell from the pictures my 5 year old son was having fun with it too. You are able to color on the pets and then use water to wash them off. It comes with a little water tub and brush that you can use to "clean" off the pets. It does also come with an app that lets the kids do the creativity virtually on their tablets.

We've been gifting my 7 year old daughter Scribble Scrubbies since she was 4. They are always a hit and she plays with them for hours a day, for several days at a time. She likes coloring them, washing them and doing it all over again. At this point she's self sufficient with them and can get her own water in the tub, spread out a towel and start playing. She is able to clean the marker off enough and set them out to dry when she's done playing. As a parent, after she's done I empty the tub for her, run clean water through the line then pump it till air comes out. After 4 years of doing that our original tub is still in great condition and still pumps out cleanly (instead of getting that gross black build-up in the tubing.) Yes, if you leave the marker on too long the white flocking will not rinse easily. I've tried scrubbing them with Dawn and hot water but at some point, the color doesn't come out. They do get stained after time, but it's very light and once your child puts color back on there with the markers, I promise you they won't notice. Another tip though is ask your child not to color the eyes or heavily around the eyes, they will bleed color for several washings from that spot.

This looks like something my grandkids will enjoy and it will encourage artistic exploration. It's washable and pretty cute but small.
