I got it because it was on sale and cheaper than most Amazon listings and even Creality's website. I'm still fairly new to 3d printing, I've only had an Ender 3 v2 neo since May of 2023 and I don't mind the tinkering so much. I was aware of the issues most people were having and lucked out getting the newer extruder and hot end. If you can get it under $500 and don't mind fiddling to dial it in, I think its a good buy, I don't think I'd recommend it to someone as a first printer or someone looking for a running out the box experience, despite the fact I opened the box, turned it on, let it calibrate, loaded the supplied hyper filament sample and ran the loaded benchy and articulating cat, that were pretty good. So good luck!

I love this machine, super fast and works well out of tge box. Like most creality products it is not without struggles. The three screw belt system is great but also a pain to level. The rear spool is frustrating and not easy to change filament. Had issues with first PEI sheet but customer service made it right so they are thereason for 5 stars.

This product was out of the box ready to go. After the initial calibration, I was able to start printing. I have zero issues with printer and i use it everyday. The printer is so fast to print a design.

This printer was GREAT . . . until it wasn’t. I had this printer for about 7 months, and got a ton of high-quality prints. However, I recently started running into extrusion issues. The extruder kept getting jammed up, and I started having some print quality issues. A few days ago, 30 minutes into a print, a ton of PLA got stuck behind the nozzle and surrounded the wires. I carefully used a heat gun to remove as much as possible, but now have bare wires behind the print head. The heat also deformed my auxiliary/side fan. After attempting to print today, I ran into another extrusion issue and now my cleaner is stuck in the extruder. Hoping that Creality can help me out with some replacement parts, but still waiting to hear from customer service.

Coming from the ender 3 v2 this printer has been an absolute god send. For the speed and quality it prints right out the box and the best part there is no needing to build it unlike the others so less possible error. I wish i would of just went for the max if I knew it was going to be this good.

Great for a beginner. Somewhat. Maybe more intermediary. Adhesion, use of supports and plate maintainance is a must learn. Its clogged to hell now, but I learned quite a bit.

First printer received was defective and replacement sent. UPS lost the shipment. Best Buy resolved issue with UPS. The biggest issue in the transaction was no direct phone numbers to the store, had to go to store in person to resolve the problem.

So after emailing Creality back and for and back and forth since the end of December this is the response I am getting on a machine I spent close to 1000.00 to get running! I have had it just under one year and the pla glitched out and oozed all over the place and encased print head wiring in pla. I cannot get it repaired by Best Buy as they do not work on 3D Printers and they gave me a direct to Creality number that ended in me having no solutions and an extra bill for long distance.
I tried emailing Creality support multiple times and they keep closing out my ticket. I have been messaging them since the end of December and my machine is still down!!!
We are really sorry for the inconveniences it has brought to you.
Can you pls share with me the purchase date of this printer?
The hotend kit is 3 month warranty time, we need to check whether it is within warranty time or not.
For key 111, pls you have alread followed the suggestions from our wiki link, then need to replace the printhead board and print head connection cable.
Do you find any burnt elemenets on the printhead board or the motherboard?
Waiting for your feedback.
Best regards
Creality

I bought a 3D printer last year from Anycubic. It was about a $249 printer that I got for a bit under $200.
It cost me about 40 hours of time learning it, practicing, making bad print jobs and finally getting a test print (of an owl) only to decide - that was WAY too much effort to print one tiny thing.
It didn't have its own print drivers, and b/c it wasn't a well-sold or commonly used printer, it never got any official drivers. (A lot of this type of thing is done by the user community anyway.)
I should have stuck with a printer that had been used by many other people before - and certainly checked for drivers before I bought it - but I didn't know enough about 3D printing back then.
First, I wouldn't recommend to anyone to buy the most budget friendly printer out there. Not even the Creality Ender 3 at this point, despite it being popular. (Tons of advancements in printing over the past few years, up to and including what caused this K1 line to be made by Creality). But budget printers usually means a lot of work on the user to make up for the cheapness - even including building the printer from a kit.
Second, unless you are a tinkerer, definitely look into printers that can get you up and printing in short order.
This printer takes about 30 minutes to unpack, follow the included instructions (video, really, and be ready to pause it every 3-5 seconds, as it moves VERY quickly). But it also inlcudes information on how to use the included print software, how to find the printer on your network (or use the memory card) and print your first object.
And yes, it only takes about 15 minutes to print, and you'll have the little test boat in your hands and wondered why you didn't get into 3D printing sooner.
Yes, from opening the box, to having your first print completed, it should take no longer than an hour, and quite possibly less than 45 minutes - and that includes print time!
(The answer, is of course, that it wasn't this easy before!) But we are entering the age of where 3D printing is not just for those who want to endlessly tinker with their printer and add stuff - and one where you can just set up and print, like a paper printer.
There will be a lot more things like cleaning, and learning about PLA vs. hyper PLA and such, but that's minor.
I haven't ventured into detailed "slicing" at this point - where I'd have to cut up an object to get it to print and all that. But I have printed about thirty things on it, and it works wonderfully. Literally could not be happier with the purchase.
I will recommend one thing - Creality sells a camera that is super easy to attach (the wiring is already included in the printer) and there isn't even any configuration needed in the software or on the printer to make it work. But it does allow you, assuming you have wifi, to use your PC, get the file set up that you want to print, and start the print job, and then monitor the progress from another room (or, I guess anywhere in the world, if you use the phone app, which I have not).
In fact, I've seen some folks complain about the phone app due to all the app, and Creality or whomever looking to sell objects to print, but it's obviously easy enough to skip all that.
TL;DR - this is an EXCELLENT printer for a beginner or for a long time pro. It has network connectivity by wifi, it comes with a kit including PLA and glue to print with and all the tools you'll need to maintain and clean the printer going forward. And it's FAST. It's one of the new types of printers that will print in minutes what used to take hours.
Absolutely love this thing.
One word of caution - to get the high speed printing out of it, you'll want to use the "hyper PLA" that creality sells. If you're using more standard plastic, then you'll need to slow the printer down and likely lower the temperature (but that varies).

This machine just prints does really well. I have had no issues. It’s pretty easy to use the software just do your homework before you buy on how to print types of filament it needs and what are the basics of printing but this is a great printer for a first time user. I recommend it.

I owned this model for 8 months and it worked fantastically up until 2 days ago when the motherboard randomly died from the dreaded 111 error. Creality helped with multiple diagnostics to do from our end but it needed a major repair. As a My Best Buy Total member, I packed it up and returned it to the store I purchased from in order to use the protection plan we pay for and find a solution. They did not check the printer despite how well we repackaged it to actually check for damage, agreed to replace it with a new one being shipped to my home since the store is almost an hour away from us, but charged us the difference in the cost of the printer when first purchased to the cost of the printer now and lied and claimed "taxes". This was tariffs, not taxes. They refuse to do anything about it despite agreeing we should have never been charged the difference. So in conclusion, great printer with serveral hundred hours of great quality prints with an unfortunate failure, replacement will hopefully be better but do not buy from Best Buy. They do not honor their warranties, including their highesr tier paid warranties, and you don't want a headache if you do need warranty help. Buy it from elsewhere.

Newbie to 3d printing. After many, many YouTube videos decided on this model. Heard many criticisms on crealityprint being a cut down version of cura, but as i never used any slicing software found crealityprint to be pretty easy to use and learn the different settings such as temp, speed and different support types as well as scaling models up. Printer itself is a workhorse, the failed prints were mostly due to my settings and buildplate adhesion and lack of supports. I am already thinking aboutr the k1 Max as larger buildplate would be awesome.

So far so good. Still learning the ins and outs of 3D printing but this one has made it fairly simple. Good pick for beginners. Set up was a little confusing, but nothing a little trouble shooting couldn't fix.

The K1 is amazing. Very user friendly. I love the size and speed of the unit. The only drawback is the extreme ability to configure different settings. I don’t want that to be a bad thing but for beginners it can be overwhelming.

This prints SO FAST! I was working with a base Ender 3 Neo before and I’m blown away by the speed and quality of the prints off this machine! Now like all 3D printers there is some periods of just getting used to its quirks, but it’s so much easier than my old bedslinger Neo. I mostly print in PETG as well in PLA (make the switch to hyper if you buy this, it’s amazing) and I’ve never had better prints before. Also you won’t have to wait days for a print to be done.
