Simple to Use, Food Delicious/Tender
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow! I am a gourmet cook now. This is perfect for a meal for a family or two meals for a single person. Not too big and not too small. I made the Pot Roast using the included recipe. Set it for “Lo” and 12 hours cook time. A nice feature is that it will go to “warm” mode when the twelve hours are up. It is quite warm to serve even if in the “warm” mode for a couple hours. The pot roast was super tender and the red potatoes I used were perfectly done as were the mushrooms, onions and carrots. I did not add the celery; by the way I did use both the called for beef broth and also some canned beef gravy. So delicious I was amazed I could get the meat so tender. It also has a “Hi” mode and you can cook the same meal in 8 hours. It is simple to use and very easy to clean up. The inner ceramic pot comes out for cleaning and it is very solid. Just a great design and high quality. I do recommend it as the best crock pot I ever used.

Great When It Worked
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It worked great for about 9 months but after that the interface just completely stopped working. There was no way for me to turn it on or fix it, so had to get a new one. Assuming that was just bad luck on my part, it was really awesome when it worked.

An Elegant, Fully Programmable Crock-Pot
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my third Crock-Pot in 47 years and by far the prettiest and most convenient. None ever quit working, but with each new addition my life and daily demands on time had changed so much that the technology of the programming became essential. The new 7 qt. Digital Slow Cooker in Platinum polished finish is the ultimate in looks and in providing convenience for a home cooked meal when you haven’t been home all day. It is a great addition to my kitchen. The platinum finish Crock-Pot has been physically redesigned to have ergonomic soft grip chrome plated handles. The soft grip dissipates the heat and makes the product easier to handle while serving. The stoneware and glass lid are removable and are both dishwasher safe for easy cleanup, and the programmable digital control is sleek enough that this Crock-Pot is suitable to serve from at a formal table setting. However, the very best part of the new/original slow cooker is that the digital countdown control allows for programming of cook times anywhere from 30 minutes to 20 hours. After the time needed to cook your entrée is complete, the Crock-Pot automatically shifts to the WARM setting to keep your dish at an ideal serving temperature until you are back home and ready for your meal. Not only do Crock-Pots enable healthy and cost-efficient meals, but without much hassle at all - a homecooked meal is ready for you when you get home. Think of it as an automatic Chef. The 7-qt. programmable slow cooker serves 8+ people. If you need an upgrade, I highly recommend giving this one a try as it is elegant looking, programmable, holds 7 quarts and serves 8+ people. Highlights of the new Polished Platinum 7 qt. programmable Crock-Pot slow cooker. • Digital countdown control lets you program cook times anywhere from 30 minutes up to 20 hours • Automatically switches to warm after cooking is complete. • Platinum polished finish with ergonomic soft-grip chrome- plated handles for grip and easy serving. • Removable stoneware and glass lid are both dishwasher safe. • 7-qt. programmable slow cooker easily serves 8-9 people

Great large capacity slow cooker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This one really stands out with its nice digital display and handy side handles. While most slow cookers have the low, high and warm settings, this one adds the flexibility of setting a timer. When we set it to low, we only needed three hours and we were able set it with this model. Furthermore, once the timer counts down, it automatically sets it to a warning mode with yet another timer to track how long it has been warming. I made some delicious chicken tortilla soup and it was very good. The cooker cleaned up easily with its removable pot and glass lid. While most models have similar features, the timer makes this model better than the others. The 7 quart capacity is large enough to cook for a large family.

Works like it should with minimal controls
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this crock pot. It is large enough for 4 large chicken thighs to lie flat on the bottom. I'm able to use just enough bbq sauce and cook the thighs for 4 hours at low heat. They reach over 170 degrees so I know they're done. The controls are simple. Press high and it goes to 4 hours and press low and it goes to 8 hours. Then you use the + and - buttons to set the timer. When it finishes the cook setting, it automatically goes to warming. Other options I find convenient are the cord wrap on the back of the unit, the soft grip side handles the oval shape that takes up less counter depth and the removable stoneware pot. The removable pot makes cleanup easy. The box states the pot and glass lid are dishwasher safe, but I prefer to hand wash both. I do have one recommendation about the unit. The handle on the lid has a void between the plastic and the glass. After washing it, water oozes out continuously until it's all done. It takes numerous wipes to get it dry. The void/gap needs to be as minimal as possible to avoid water getting trapped in there. Otherwise I have no gripes about the crock pot. It did a great job on my chicken and I can't wait to see how it handles multiple layers of chicken pieces.

Classy Slow Cooker - Easy to Use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When it comes to cooking, I look for something that will make the process easier for me. A kind of set it and forget it kind of thing. I love slow cookers, and this one is no exception. I can simply, “Push buttons and eat”... as a comedian once put it. From my experience this unit has been fantastic. Chili, soup, lasagna, all cooked wonderfully in this crockpot. The settings are simple, and the timer allows you to work the meal preparation to your schedule. In addition to its performance, this is a really “classy” looking unit. The flush button panel, platinum finish, and handle design really do make for a nice-looking appliance. I also appreciate that wire management solution on the back. It makes packing it up a breeze. One negative I do have to mention is the exterior does get quite a bit hotter than previous slow cookers I have owned. If you have small kids, this this something to consider. Pros: - Performs Great - Easy to use - Very nice-looking design Cons: - Exterior gets hotter than other slow cookers - No latch for the lid to aid in transporting Overall: This really is a nice unit, and I highly recommend it. If you are one that travels with your slow cooker often, you may want to invest in a 3rd party universal latch.

Big Meal Roomy But Hot Hot Hot
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Crock Pot slow cooker looks stylish with this stainless steel finish and handles. It features a touch-button control pad with power button and selectors for warm or low temp and time adjustments. And a "countdown" timer display that shows how much time is left on the cycle. Not much to it. It has the usual stoneware/ceramic inside pot and a glass lid. The cord, in the modern safety-oriented world we live in, is very very short. So short you have very little wiggle room as to where you are going to park it for the duration of your cooking time. Please be aware--you need pot holders or oven mitts any time you want to move this thing or open the lid when it's on. Even the handles get HOT. As in the pot lid handle was over 155 degrees, and the two side handles over 140. That is what's odd--the 2-ft cord for safety but an appliance that gets red hot on the outside. The little booklet that comes with it warns you "Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs." What? The handles will burn you too! There's nothing like a slow cooker like this for a nice big batch of beans or a pot roast, but after all the years of developing this product I would expect something engineered for a little less risk of burning one's hands.

So Easy, and So Good
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's so convenient to come home to food waiting for you that's warm, tender and filling. I've made bulgolgi, curry, stews and simple, quick 30 minute meals with this Crock Pot. I'm constantly looking for something to cook with it because it's so simple and don't have to constantly check it. Has two modes Low (8hr) and High (4hr) settings as well as warming function depending on how you cook. Can also be adjusted down to 30 minutes on High for quicker meals. The capacity is more than enough for 1 or 2 people but also suitable for a larger group or bigger leftovers. The only thing I wish it had was a delayed start/time function where it warms until the set time but it can also see why it doesn't so definitely not a deal breaker.

Crock Pot gets it right again!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am so happy to have this Crock Pot. We were given an Instant Pot as a gift, and we just never really got the hang of it. The Instant Pot just doesn't slow cook like the Crock Pot does. When I got it out of the box, I was happy with the aesthetics. The stainless steel finish matches my kitchen. Setup and use is a breeze. A couple of features I really like are the digital display, the delay timer, and the keep warm function. The delay timer is great as I can set the unit to start cooking when I want and the keep warm keeps my food warm for as long as I want. The only negative about this unit is that it gets VERY hot on the outside. That being said, it's not enough to remove a star from this gem of a slow cooker.

Great for suppers
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This crock pot is plenty big for a family meal. Put the ingredients in before leaving in the morning and yumminess is ready when you get home from work. The finish on this Crock Pot is shiny and looks great. The controls are flush and not sticking out like most of them. The handles are stainless steel (at least look metal) and did get hotter than other ones that I have used in the past. Just be sure to use pot holders when grabbing on to it. The pot is easily adjustable to up to 20 hours of cooking time and will keep things warm when the timer is done for up to 4 hours before it automatically shuts off. Very handy addition to the kitchen of any family.

Perfect for non-cooks like me
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To me a Crock pot is something that makes so much sense for people who hate to cook – like me, but it’s something I always forget I have. This Crock pot is hard to miss with its shiny exterior and digital display. Comparing this to my old crock pot with cylindrical insert and front dial is like comparing a Model-T to a Range Rover. The first thing I cooked was Baby Back Ribs using the included recipe. Mainly because it looked so easy. It was literally toss in the ingredients, set it on low for 7-9 hours. By that night, I was ready to try the ribs and I was not disappointed! The ribs were tender and delicious without falling apart as I removed them. The next thing I tried was Mac and Cheese, again using the included recipe. If you notice, the theme here is I am not much of a cook, so I don’t have a lot of recipe books around. Again, pretty easy, I did have to boil the macaroni first before putting it in the crock pot with the other ingredients, but other than that, it was basically toss everything together and put it in the pot. After 3 hours it was ready and once again, delicious! This time I had used one of the best features of this appliance, the Keep Warm function. If you don’t plan on eating what you’ve cooked right away, but don’t want to keep your food cooking while you wait, this is a must have. After using this on these two recipes and getting such great results, I plan on using this more often. As I said, I’m not much of a cook and don’t really enjoy spending time on it, so this is perfect for me. The fact that it has some great features, looks good on the counter and works so well makes this really easy to recommend.

DO NOT BUY!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.worst slow cooker ever!! stay away! It burns and overcooks everything. Cannot use the High function at all. Even the "Low" function overcooks when I cook for half the time. Can't make any of my usual "go-to" recipes. So disappointing from Crock pot. I loved my old one from 2009, but it finally died on me. What happened to the quality?
