Customers appreciate the ease of use, pressure cooking capabilities, and larger size of this 8-Qt. Express Crock Programmable Slow Cooker and Pressure Cooker with Air Fryer Lid. Many find it offers good value for the price and shortens cooking times. While some mentioned the power cord could be longer and instructions could be clearer, the overall performance and capacity are frequently praised.

All-in-one cooking appliance

The Crock-Pot Express literally replaced four of our kitchen small appliances including our Crock-Pot slow cooker, pressure cooker, rice cooker and air fryer which not only saved me cabinet space but also simplified my easy cooking routine. Throughout the week, we typically would use one of the three small appliances almost every day and it was kind of a hassle to figure out which one to get out and then how to prepare the meals for my family. With the Crock-Pot Express, it has taken much of the thought process out of cooking since we’re now only using this one device. We have used the Crock-Pot to sauté or brown/sear so you don’t have to use your stove prior to slow or pressure cooking. Once you attach the air fryer top, the appliance automatically recognizes it’s attached and is ready to start air frying. We love using the air fryer option for vegetables but it also works great for fried chicken, fish, etc. and cooks relatively fast without excess oil saving you money and calories. We have even used the air fryer option before pressure cooking artichokes to give them some crispy flavor. Some of the other many options the Crock-Pot Express offers is the simple buttons for specific foods such as poultry, beef, beans, stew, and soup. The instructions are very user friendly and provide simple explanations on how to set up your appliance for specific cooking while also giving you a chart for air frying weights/times and a simple cooking guide for all the options it has. One of our concerns was that sometimes we would slow cook or pressure cook one dish and then use our air fryer for the side or vice versa. We thought we still might need more than one device when preparing large meals with the family but we were able to store them away to clear space on the readily available shelves. One of the other upgrades for us with the Crock-pot Express is that it is 8 quarts which is larger than both our old pressure cooker and slow cooker. Overall I love this appliance and would recommend it to anyone in the market for any one of the appliances I noted above.

Unimpressive as an air fryer - just okay otherwise

Initial thoughts..
- No basket to use when air frying. They want you to use the multi-purpose rack.
- Air Crisping/Frying lid is not hinged, so if you want to shake/redistribute/remove foods, you have to take the lid off and set it down somewhere else.
-- They do give you a little metal stand to put it on, but how long before that becomes in the way and/or lost.
-- Also have to align pins every time you put the lid back on.
- Will have to have somewhere to store whatever lid you’re not using.
- Unappealing aesthetic sitting on the counter if you leave the crisping lid on.
-- Pressure cooker lid is a bit more appealing, but the whole unit is still quite tall.
- Doesn’t have an ‘off’ mode; if it’s plugged in, there will be lights on the display.
Experiences
- Pressure cooker
-- Did very well. Simply loaded up the non-stick pot with cubed pork loin, added some liquid, and put the lid on. Then simply press the Meat button & walk away. Once the liquid starts to boil & build pressure, the timer starts counting down. When it’s done, the unit automatically goes into a Keep Warm mode.
- Air Fryer - French Fries
-- Unimpressed. The instructions have you use the multi-purpose rack, which makes it difficult to redistribute the food to get even crisping. Alternatively, you can just dump fries in the pot, but then you don’t get very much air circulation, so the fries still don’t crisp up very evenly.
-- Some fries would fall off the rack, and end up in the bottom of the pot.
-- If you do use the rack, it’s very awkward to get the fries out of the unit & on to a plate for serving.
-- Can’t adjust the temperature much; either high or low.
- Slow Cooker
-- Did what it’s supposed to do. But it’s kinda hard to screw up a slow cooker.
At the end of the day, if your primary use will be as an air fryer, I’d definitely look elsewhere. If you think you’ll typically use it as a pressure cooker and/or slow cooker, with only occasional use as an air fryer, then you might be satisfied with it. However, I believe there are better choices out there if you’re looking for a multi-cooker.

This replaced 3 different appliances: slow cooker , instapot and Air fryer. It’s amazing! It works great and now because of this I got rid of my other appliances and just use this! Save me space which I love! It’s also very easy to clean

We have only used the pressure cooker twice, but both times it worked great. Easy to follow instructions. Then pan lifts out for easy cleaning. We have not used the air fryer part for anything yet. The only thing I noticed was the rack used for the air fryer does not look like it would work well for cooking fries or anything that needs to be shaken. It looks like it is for bigger items like rotisserie chicken. That is okay because we have a smaller air fryer with a basket. The cooker takes up a lot of counter space, but we expected that. We wanted a large pressure cooker, that's why we bought it. We bought this on deal of the day and so far it has been a great deal.

Purchased to replace another brand that unfortunately died after a few years of steady use. Huge fan of electric pressure cookers in general due to the speed and ease of cooking with them for many types of food. If you have not used one, do yourself a favor and add one to your cooking arsenal. This cooker is a bit larger than our previous giving additional capacity, and the crisping lid is a nice addition. Have used it several times both with and without the crisping lid with excellent results, everything from crispy skinned whole chicken to braised short ribs and stews that taste like they've been slow simmered for hours. Plenty of pre set programs, plus manual functions to customize your cook. About the only things we have yet to try in this model are air frying using the crisping lid, and yogurt so cannot speak to it's ability in those areas. The cooker itself is large and heavy, but seems very well built and also heats quicker than our previous model. About the only complaint would be the recipe book (not that it's needed with the wealth of recipes online for electric pressure cookers). Several recipes do not match the pictures which is a bad sign in itself. Many recipes are not very well written, and in some cases if you are familiar with pressure cooking or well versed in cooking in general, you can tell by reading that the methods listed will not work as written let alone be any good. Overall though, just disregard the recipe book and enjoy a great pressure cooker.

This was a gift for my sister after she got out of the hospital for Covid. The reason I went with this product was due to the fact that it is nearly impossible to find a crockpot with a larger capacity. This device was larger than most crockpots and had additional features that were appealing to a larger family of 6. Once my sister had been discharged from the hospital, I knew she would want simple dishes that could be prepared with little effort and this appliance delivered. It is larger and bulky so you do need a decent amount of space to store it, but it can replace multiple smaller appliances as well so, it’s a trade off. Easy to use, larger capacity, and several functions. Everything you look for in this type of appliance.

Crock-Pot Multi-Cooker 8qt Air-Fryer works great!

I already owned smaller, non-air-fryer versions of the Crock-Pot Express with non-stick pot. That 6qt unit performs fantastic. I needed a larger pot and also wanted the Air-Fryer feature. This unit served both purposes with one unit. I have tried numerous items in the air-fryer with great success. I am a totally lousy cook, but using recipes found on the 'net and this device, I have become a very good cook and am getting better all the time. On Friday, 2/12/2021 I cooked (for the first time) Chicken Cordon Bleu for my son - without ruining it - and he was very impressed that his dad-who-could-ruin-hotdogs cooked him a fab meal with only 1 device, in the hotel room while visiting. He even had 2nd's. I don't think I've ever made him a meal as good. For me the "set it and forget it" approach works well. Cooking things many times faster than in the oven lets me save time - but to my surprise I have time to eat healthier. Steamed fresh vegetables are better than microwaved ones, meat dishes in natural juices are wonderful and everything I have cooked has turned out better that I expected. Not only would I recommend this device to others, but I ordered for pick-up at the store and that went quick and easy. Almost too easy - because now I consider online and pick-up at the store to be a great way to do business with my local store but saves me much more time that I would have imaged. Best Buy's pricing was the best I found and was competitive with one other source. However, 7 other suppliers were much HIGHER THAN BEST BUY! With their price matching policy, online ordering and store pickup working so well, I can recommend that you should seriously consider doing business with them to make it quick and easy.
I am not affiliated with Best Buy, am a legitimate customer and a happy owner of Crock-Pot multi-cookers and particularly of this unit. When my son gets his own place one of these will be my house gift to him!

I bought this item on sale for 99.99 and i love it. The 8qt capacity is def. by far the best. I cook fries, steak, pork, sausace in the air fry feature and it cooks it amazingly. Also comes out crisp no fat no nothing. Easy to clean afterwards. The only thing is that after each air fry session you habe to let the cover cool down due to overheating. No big deal it just takes a couple of minutes and then you can atart using it again. Recomended to all. This is my n#1 apliance in my kitchen so far. :-)

This Crockpot/Pressure Cooker/Air Fryer is amazing!!! Ive made about 10 meals using it so far.. not using any meal directions or recipes... and all have come out tender, juicy, delicious and perfect. Using it to steam can take awhile to decompress when you have liquid in the poy but ever so worth the wait. Great size, i usually cook for 4-6 people without a problem. Got as a Deal of The Day Item, couldnt have been happier for this deal.

Very impressed. Does everything and very quickly. Very easy to clean up. At first I was afraid to use it, afraid of the pressure cooker. But now, now problem Very easy to operate and most of my recipes tell you exactly what to do.
Would highly recommend especially if 2 people are working and you can still cook a very nice meal in a short amount of time.

I was so glad I was able to find a multi-purpose cooker at such a great price on Black Friday I already popped it open and cooked a couple meals with it and let me tell you what a wonderful product. Crockpot has always been such an amazing brand and I was so glad Best Buy carried it and I even purchased one for a family member.
