If you are looking for your first crock pot, or looking to replace an older model that is more on the basic side, this new crock pot is an excellent choice! I love how modern and well designed this crock pot looks, it fits in with our kitchen nicely and does not look cheap at all. I also love the 7qt capacity, let's be honest, when one is busting out the crock pot for something, they are not going to be making a small portion. The fact that this crock pot is on the larger side is excellent. I never thought I'd say this but I cannot wait to get back to work parties and being able to show up with this bad boy loaded up. I also love the latching lid, I understand this has been around for a few years now but our older crock pot does not have this feature so I was very happy about it. It reminds me of all the times during holidays growing up and we'd pack up the sides we were bringing to grandmas and take them to the car. But because we did not have a latching lid on our pots or crock pot, we always had to find a box and hope they didn't go flying. But it was always guaranteed that dad would drive a little crazy and you'd hear glass lids bouncing around behind us. Seriously, the latching lids seems so simple but its a lifesaver. The timer function is also a huge feature for our family. We are a busy family between work and school and dinners are usually last minute for us, and eaten much later than we would prefer. But the slow cook timer has already made us excellent meals while we were out all day, making life easier. Honestly this crock pot and all its handy features are well worth the price. I can tell we will be getting use out of this necessary appliance for years to come.

Slow Cooker Upgrade!

I have 2 smaller slow cookers by another brand that I use. This one is much larger and seems like a good quality brand!
Especially during the fall/winter months I enjoy using a slow cooker for large meats, stews, soups, etc. This CrockPot 7qt is a great size especially when I am cooking for 6 people.
Most recently used this for a large chuck roast instead of a medium size one. It was a great fit and I was able to add all the veggies, potatoes, mushrooms in with it and it came out great. I added a little more liquid than usual. the meal before that one was pulled pork - with BBQ sauce - came out just as great but was again able to get a larger one!
So, love the stainless steel cooker - wipes up easily. The weight of the stoneware crock is typical yet strong. The lid is great as it can be locked in place if transporting. I have always hand-washed my crocks so not a big deal. It does say you can put the lid in the dishwasher but I prefer to hand wash that as well. I have not used the cooking bags in this one because it does clean up well but did use them in my other glazed crocks even though were not a problem to clean - just easier with the bag. The cord is short so it limits where I can place it on the island. I do like the digital version as I can now set it for a certain amount of time and then it goes to the warm cycle so it doesn't burn if I don't get home in time to manually put it on warm (older slow cookers).

Great for Football Season or Holidays

With the Football Season starting, there will be plenty of opportunity to use the Crock Pot 7qt Cook and Carry. Last Sunday we went over to our family’s house to watch the 1st game of the season. We used the cook & Carry to make a pot of chile and safely bring it over to their house. In the past we have always worried about it sloshing around and making a mess in the back seat of the car, now we do not have too, there are two locks on either side of the pot that holds the lid on tight. As with all crock pots you can cook something slow and steady without worrying with it scotching. There is a high and low setting to cook almost anything and it will switch over to warm after the timer goes off. The cleanup is easy with the non-stick ceramic pot and the lid is dishwasher safe.

Easy To Use Crockpot

I picked up this Crock-Pot as a replacement for an old one we had that was past it's prime. I love slow cooking, especially my home-made chili and brisket. Nothing better.
This is a great unit. It's super easy to use and understand. It's large enough to prepare a great main course for my family of 4 and I love the flexibility of cooking times up to 20 hours (nothing like a slow-cooked brisket!). It's really a no-brainer. Set it and forget it. Once it's done cooking it automatically defaults to the WARM function. We just did a 10-hour brisket in it yesterday and it was AMAZING!
I also love the lockable lid so that I can cook something up and transport it without worrying about making a mess in the car.

Nice. Crock Pot

This is a larger than average crock pot. It doesn’t do much more or look that much different, it simply cooks great tasting extremely tender food and that's what I was looking for! Butcher gave me a rather large/thick 3.5lb Chuck roast that I thought would never cook evenly. I seasoned both sides of it with S&P. Washed the brand new Crock Pot - lid and stoneware insert. I placed the large roast in and it fit perfectly. I plugged in the Crock Pot and set it to low for 8 hours. I then put a bunch of cut up baby potatoes, celery, onions and baby carrots all over the meat. Over the top I poured liquid pot roast seasoning sauce. That's it! I pressed start and left it alone. 8 hours later I had the tastiest most tender roast! I didn't have to do one thing more. Lifting the lid let the aroma escape - mmm! I stabbed it with a fork to see if it was done and it just pulled apart with each stab. Perfectly and evenly cooked!
Normally, I would have put in a Crock pot liner to keep the stoneware clean but since this was supposed to be "non-stick" I did it without the liner. It is non-stick! After removing the leftovers, I rinsed the stoneware insert and simply wiped the residue with a sponge. It easily came clean. I was amazed and so happy.
A nice looking solidly built larger CrockPot with a non stick interior for larger family meals. And this also has a secure locking lid so you can carry the entire Crock pot off to that holiday gathering to keep your meal warm. After cooking, it automatically switches to the warm setting. This definitely a Crock Pot worth looking into!!

Simply works

CrockPot has always been my go-to brand for slow cookers and this one doesn’t disappoint. Easy to use and much easier to clean than older models I’ve ever owned. Definitely lighter in weight than my old cook and carry version so it does concern me a little about how well it will hold up but it simply works as expected. Perfect size for my family meals.

Overall great slow cooker, the inside pot was super easy to clean. The lid, closes tightly and eliminates spills. The slow cooker was super easy to use and operate, however it is very basic. Your input is either high or low, and how much time you want it to cook. You use the up and down arrows for both time, and temperature.

I’ve got at least three crockpots in my possession, but here’s what makes this one THE BOSS: it’s travel-friendly. No more beans flung into the heater vents of our van!
Secondly, I prefer the ceramic crock as it cooks more evenly than metal, and this one has the added benefit of a stick-free inner coating. High protein recipes are especially prone to stick, so this no-scrub feature is a time and fingernail saver.
I also love the timer feature. Four hours for marinara, and then kept warm. Perfecto!
