Very Good Crockpot

This crock pot is very good. It is not our first crock pot but it is our first digital. The digital display is a plus. It also has a cooking setting feature that can be customized. The unit also has a 'warming' setting which is great for having the food ready when you need to serve. The ceramic pot is great for holding the food warm and equally good for cleaning it. Ever clean a crock pot and struggle because the food sticks? Not with a ceramic pot. This pot cleans up easily. Another great feature is the 'locking lid' which is a MUST when you are traveling with crock pot food. This crock pot has nice features and performs flawlessly.

After having used this slow cooker to cook a roast and make some chili, I can say I am well pleased with it.
The heat is even and the temperatures are appropriate (I've used some in the past that got much too hot).
I really like the fact that the lid has a soft rubber edge where it contacts the slow cooker, and a small hole for steam to escape. This prevents pressure from building up and condensed water from spritzing out from around the lid. Also, the latches make this nice for carrying the slow cooker with food to another location (parties, church meals etc).
And it is indeed easy to clean. The food just slides right off.

This is a great crock pot. Easy to use. It is bigger than I thought it would be. Easy to clean, and not too heavy. So far I have tried a few recipes, enjoying my new crock pot.

This slow cooker uses all the simplicity of your standard slow cooker, with the added ability to set a timer to stop cooking and shift to the warm setting. We really enjoyed the pork roast this weekend, and didn't have to worry about when to turn off the cooker.
It is very easy to clean, getting it ready for the next cook.
Removing it from the box, my wife and I really like the appearance and that it feels well made and constructed.

Only gave 1 star because I have to. Purchased 1/5/21 and went to use today, 3/14/21, a few uses in between these dates and the darn thing doesn't work. Will try to get replacement through manufacturer.

The Crockpot 7 Qt. is good crockpot to have. It’s slightly taller than my previous crockpot. The digital time allow you to choose the exact amount of time you would like for your food to cook, unlike some crockpots which have only preset times. The inner pot where you place your food in is easy to clean and is well made. Works great for what it does.

I have been working from home since the COVID came to town and now that my kids are back in school, I live by my crockpot. When i got this one it was obvious that my old model would never compete, so i gave it away.
I’ve made everything from spaghetti and meatballs to pulled pork in this crockpot since i got it and I’ve been nothing but pleased with the results. The lid is awesome because it clamps down on both sides and will allow me to take it to pot lucks when social distancing becomes a thing of the past. The pot itself is larger than i thought it was and holds a good amount of food. I currently have four adults and three kids that i feed on a daily basis and this thing has been a life saver.
This is well made and easy to clean. It comes with a recipe book with a few recipe ideas as well. This has become my new most used appliance. I no longer have to slave over the stove after working all day and helping my kids with their school work. My wife loves it too because now when she comes home dinner is already done.

Excellent Update to Crockpot

I ordered this new 7-Quart Crockpot Slow Cooker to replace an old one that no longer heated properly. It is a newer version of a wonderful cooking device that now comes in a sharp looking black stainless steel exterior.
The interior cooking vessel is a non-stick ceramic stoneware cooking insert that is oven safe to 400 degrees. The unit can be programmed to cook for 20 minutes to 20 hours and has a countdown cook time display and has an auto-warm setting.
The Crockpot lid is dishwasher safe for easy clean up. The lid can be locked down tight for spill-proof mess-free travel. I would suggest the unit be placed in a box for travel as the outside of the Crockpot retains a lot of heat from the just-cooked contents.
We tried out our new Crockpot the other day and cooked a chuck roast with carrots, potatoes, onions and other root vegetables. After 8-hours of cooking, we served it up for dinner and it was just excellent!
If you need a slow cooker, this is the one I'd recommend.

I have owned many different slow cookers over the years but keep coming back to the Crock-Pot brand because they just work and do their job well. This 7-quart cook and carry model is no different. As with other models, there are high, low, and warm heat settings. A digital cook timer can be set from 30 minutes to 20 hours (not sure what you'd ever have to cook for that long though). While the crocks have always been relatively easy to clean, the nonstick coating on this model makes it even easier. Food just wipes away, even baked on cheeses or cream sauces. I have yet to have to soak or scrub the crock which is a definite bonus. The only issue I've had is that the latches on the lid are a little tricky to get lines up and latched on a consistent basis. Once latched, it does seem like the gasket will stop most drips and spills during transport, it's just getting there can sometimes be a bit frustrating. Otherwise, this is a great cooker that will hold plenty of food for a larger family or small gathering of friends. For example, I cooked a 5 pound roast and had more than enough room for potatoes and carrots with head space left over. I could easily have done a larger roast if I had one.

Boiled not simmered

I love crock pot cooking because it allows me to set it and forget it allowing all the flavor to slowly cook and absorb into the meats and vegetables. However, this crock pot on the lowest setting boiled instead of slowly simmered the food. When it boiled my chili it started to caramelize at the surface so i had to stop cooking. The pot set to the lowest setting.
Overall, I like the 7quart size and the features but the settings are not low to allow a slow simmering cook.

Non-stick crock pot? Yes please! Locking lid? Check. Digital programming? Yup. Automatic keep warm? Of course. This one ticks every box. Just the convenience of the non stick stoneware and the locking lid are enough for me, but being able to set it and know it will complete cooking and keep warm till we get home is extremely convenient. Cooks chicken evenly, soup and chili are same old predictable deliciousness. There is a booklet of tips and recipes included—pay attention to the tips. I learned some things that actually work.

A Crock Pot crock pot... not a crock

There's not much to say about the Crock Pot (tm) brand crock pot that hasn't already been said before. It's a staple of many households, and it's easy to see why. The aluminum "case" is ridiculously light. I compared it against our older model pot, and there is a noticeable difference in heft, even with housing the heating elements. The pot itself is a nice stoneware version, whereas the older one was a glazed ceramic. Having a mottled greenish/grayish color instead of a straight black pot also lends towards a touch of modernism, but it's not overwhelming. The lid is very light, and the latches to keep it secure during transport are easy to operate. The seal is more than enough to keep spills from happening. Cleanup is a breeze, but I did notice some scratches on the bottom inside of the pot when I used a plastic scraper to get the baked-on residue off.
Overall, it's easy to operate. The timer is green and easy to read, and choosing between "fast", "slow", or "keep warm" is self-explanatory. The concerns I have include the aforementioned scratches in the stoneware from a plastic tool, the power cord is extremely short, even for an appliance designed to be operated next to an outlet, and the rubber feet on the case don't give me a confident feeling that it's level; the case feels very unsteady until the pot is put in it. Operation is a breeze, and the end result after its initial operation was a very palatable meal.

Not much bad I can say about this crock pot. It works well and is a breeze to clean up. If I had to pick something that could be better it could have more robust handles but that’s just nit picking. Overall great crockpot
