Came in the original box (so my husband saw his Christmas present early) and the box was not at all meant for shipping. Box had a major puncture on the side. Thankfully the product doesn’t appear to be damaged, but shame on Best Buy for letting this ship that way. The thin cardboard outer box was never meant for mail.

I was willing to take reviews about poorer sound quality with a grain of salt, since it's so small, and it's probably not meant to have high def sound, but the one I received just didn't work. Something was wrong with the needle, and the system would only play the background track, no lead vocals what so ever. I tested the records on a different player that worked fine, so it's not the record, it's just poor quality in this player. Kinda disappointing.

When I picked the item up at the store I was told the trucks are packed so tight that the box was probably damaged in transit. However, when my husband finally opened the box it was completely in tact with no scratches or dents. Needless to say, the sound quality is terrible. You can barely hear anything with the volume completely turned up. Very disappointed. Sadly, by the time it was opened we were past the return window.
