Crucial ssds are one of two brands I even consider buying. What I like about crucial is that they had a good warranty, they tend to be cheaper than their nearest quality rival, and they include acronis true image. I put two this drive in an old Dell Inspiron gen 3 i7 and it made the laptop totally usable again. Now I'm not gaming on it, but it tackles any productivity, streaming or browsing, task that I throw at it. Do yourself a favor and upgrade that aging laptop and breathe new life into your computing.

Very good drive overall. Very fast, is known to be reliable, has DRAM and is reasonably priced. Generally hard to justify a SATA drive anymore since NVME drives are basically the same price but, considering that you can run twice as many SATA drives as NVME drives, these still have their place for sure.

Quality drive for computer applications. The rated speed matched what I was seeing. Not a bad drive for the price and being Crucial Brand, should last a long time. Easy to install and set up in windows.

What a difference this made! I bought it to increase the the response speed on my laptop (HP ProBook) especially at start-up after upgrading memory from 8GB to 16GB (max). Very satisfied with the results. Crucial provides free downloadable software to use for cloning the new drive. Side benefit, though not as important because I try to keep a lean file structure and protocol, was an increase in storage from 760GB to 1TB.

Does your office chair have a seat belt? Good. Strap in because with this hard drive you’ll be breaking every speed limit in the computer world. You press the ON button - DON’T YOU DARE BLINK! because you’ll miss that freakin’ loading screen boiii. This hard drive will take you to the desktop in seconds. Are you a video gamer? Good. You’ll go from log-in to pwning scrubs in the blink of an eye. You want to copy a file? Blip. DONE SON. Over 500 megabizzles per second whip bam boom. I wasted years of loading, copying, and just plain waiting for my standard hard drive to do whatever the <censored> it was doing when I could have had this sweet little grey box that moves at the speed of light. This solid state drive bends my regular hard rice over its leg and spanks it until it cries. My pc is on a whole new level now thanks to the Crucial ssd. If you want any chance of beating me in the arena your pc better be sporting one of these sweet things...

This was purchased as an upgrade to my existing SSD drive for Windows 10 in terms of both getting a larger capacity hard drive and according to various independent reviews a more reliable one that will last me longer ... in a happy stroke of luck amazon mailed me the 1 TB version despite me ordering the 500 GB version (and yes I was honest and contacted amazon about it, of course, they just told me to go ahead and keep it and thanked me for my honesty - amazon rocks :) ) The hard drive itself is working great now that I got those troublesome acronis issues resolved (see below) .. I have been using it for all of 3 days now :P but I'm pretty good about updating my reviews so if you see this same review unaltered even years later you can assume the hard drive is still serving me well. More than likely this was due to my silly dual boot thing I have going on with Windows 8 on one ssd drive as my " C " drive as far as Acronis is concerned (that is Acronis is installed on win 8 ) and Windows 10 on a second hard drive as the other Windows installation (reluctantly got Win 10 after learning Microsoft will discontinue support for Win 8 - meaning no more security patches - come January 2023.. not looking forward to migrating my dozens of programs from Win 8 to Win 10 but anyways ) ... however for you Acronis users you may run into problems if you have a dual boot system like I do. In all fairness Acronis True Image (2016 version) never let me down back when I wasn't dual booting , dual booting really seems to throw it for a loop though... some very very important things here that I did not do in my foolishness that I hope you will - back up the registry on any and all Windows installations and keep that on a usb thumb drive so you can restore it if need by (google search "back up and restore registry windows" and you'll come up with the official microsoft support article that walks you through this) - create a system restore point for all Windows installations (again a google search will lead you to the right microsoft document) If I'd just done those two things first I could have saved myself hours of frantic panicked nonsense searching for solutions on the internet I managed to knock the sound out for BOTH Win 8 and Win 10 .. that's right sound wasn't working at all.. I got incredibly lucky and had a system restore point in Win 8 that saved me that just happened to be set 10 days ago automatically by Windows it looks like in response to whatever I did 10 days ago... but the normal method of solving this (go into device manager, look for the yellow exclamation mark and uninstall the offending device, reboot and when windows reinstalls the device problem solved) did NOT work for Win 8 (though it solved the Win 10 lack of sound problem). An even better solution would have been to simply restore the registry and I wouldn't have even had to roll Windows 8 ten days back that way. Another issue you might run into .. Win 8 booting up fine but Win 10 refusing to boot up with the dreaded blue screen of death.. in my case since Win 8 is what I am using for my C drive for Acronis, I rebooted into safe mode, selected troubleshoot and then the command prompt option and used these commands, one at a time bootrec /fixmbr bootrec /fixboot bootrec /scanos bootrec /rebuildbcd the third or fourth command there (can't remember which one) will notice the Win 10 installation but ignores the Win 8 installation .. that's fine just select "yes" with the "yes" "no" or "all" options you're given at that point. That solved the Win 10 not booting up but that might have been what knocked my sound out too not sure (my google research indicates other users have issues with acronis knocking out their sound too) The problem could also simply be that I am using Acronis within Win 8 to create backups of the Win 10 installation ... when I'm forced to move Acronis over to Win 10 in 2023 we'll see if that solves the problem (though honestly this will probably be my last SSD drive upgrade for a long time due to a lack of need so I would only find reason to test Acronis's capability if something goes wrong with Windows and I'm forced to recover from a backup which is always possible). The backups are stored on yet another hard drive (sata but not SSD type) not sure if that's part of the problem too. One other tip ... a very experienced and helpful person on the Acronis forums strongly recommends you create an Acronis bootable media (usb thumb drive or CD or DVD) and run Acronis from that .. furthermore you should create a backup of Windows then restore the backup onto your new ssd drive as opposed to the normal disk clone thing .. doing all of this outside of Windows helps too apparently (which is what I did prior to having a dual boot configuration on my PC and it worked smooth as silk)... go into the Acronis program and click on tools for prompts on how to create rescue media. For persons using something other than Acronis I'd say a lot of this advice still stands.. back up your registry, create a system restore point and if your program offers bootable media use that instead of doing it in Windows and try restoring a backup of Windows to the new SSD drive instead of just disk cloning it.

Has worked 100% in my macbook pro. I have all the good things to say about the SSD as on would say about an SSD after having used a faulty and finicky HDD for all these years. Cant say i have any thing bad to say. My macbook pro now boots in like 10 seconds which is awesome! Great 1TB and for the price i got it for, a great deal!

Bought the 1tb version and it has helped me so much because thats where I keep my games. Works amazing literally no problems. Although when I was installing it idk if it was my pc but everytime I moved my pc it would have issues but I just waited a while and restarted everything and it started working great. Have been using for a couple months and thinking on buying another to get more games.

Excellent performance and quality, at a great price. I uses this drive as a scratch drive for video edits. Multiple reads and writes at the same time don't even slow this thing down. It's nice to save on cost and get great performance over more expensive brands. I would purchase again. Let's not forget about the 5 year warranty.

This is a no-frills SSD from Crucial. The Micron NAND controllers in these are second to none so you get great speed and reliability at a super competitive price. This will perfectly fit the vast majority of SSD use cases and will definitely speed up a system with a mechanical hard drive. I would recommend to anyone.

Purchased for an Xbox One S. Microsoft says you can't do it but you can, you just have to download OSU1 and put it on a USB. Seems to speed up game load times pretty significantly. Not as fast as a PC because I don't think the One S is SATA3 but this drive vastly improves the sequential read/write over a 5400RPM spinner even if the speed truly is SATA2. Good price for a 1TB SSD, a little more expensive because it's 3D NAND but that just makes it a better SSD. No complaints here!

Great price, and lots of storage from a trusted brand! I’ve been using the MX series for around 8 years. No complaints. Other drives may be faster on paper, but the speed is barely perceptible. This is a great SSD.
