This is the fastest and slimmest External drive I've owned with this much capacity. Works great with my Macbook Pro!

This drive replaced the one stolen from me, I haven't even paid off the other one yet.

I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn’t for last summer experience. Within 2 months of purchase of a new one (I have 6 so far, showing how reliable I considered them to be) but this one all of the sudden started to slow down, glitch and then became unreadable. I’ve lost very important material and Crucial did not took any responsibility even when it fell under warranty, it had not be misused and its state was under the requirements. It is this why I am giving it a poor review.

DO NOT BUY!! These hard drives are terrible! We bought 3 of these at Best Buy in November, 2024 for my husband's photography business. After a few months, we started having trouble with one of them opening up, but not allowing us to access any files. It would immediately log out if we clicked on a file. We called customer support and they said to leave it plugged in for 24 hours and see if it would reset itself. It eventually ended up letting us open up files, but it is now super slow. The second one started having trouble a few months after the first one. When plugged in, it would not pop up, making it impossible for us to get the data from it. It would show up on a PC, but it said critical error, and wouldn't open. My husband called customer support, and they said they would send a new one, but that is not helpful for the 2 TB of pictures that are on the one that isn't working! Also, when he got the email about replacing it, they do not provide any service to recover the data, so we have to pay to recover the data and then pay to ship the hard drive back to them before they will give us a new one. We definitely don't want to use the same brand of hard drive if we can't trust it, so we definitely don't want another one, and to not even offer to recover the data for us for free is ridiculous. The third one we have hardly used, and will NOT use at this point since we are 0/2 on the first two. Please don't waste your money on these like we did! That was several hundred dollars down the drain!

I’m so happy with this purchase, very easy to use is was perfect for what I need I would recommend to buy it and also I want to add that they help to choose the best fit my needs.

Excellent option to save high resolution videos and photos, if you have an iPhone 15 pro max it helps to use it even more
