Excellent option to save high resolution videos and photos, if you have an iPhone 15 pro max it helps to use it even more

Excellent product, I've used it with Mac OS and Windows and it worked as a charm!

Not the best not the worst bought this because I did not want to have to but a new sata connection. Without doing any reasearch I thought this would be great for games so I can take advantage of my GB/s speed but instead when I install a game it takes hours for a game under 100Gb..

As advertised, and easy to setup and use. Glad I purchased and I recommend to all.

Fast drive BUT could not be read on my Mac after a very short period. Was formatted as X-Fat out of the box and as required and was able to record video but could not download. Crucial simply I use a PC to recover. I use Macs. I will return drive and buy another brand

Great product! I love it. Very fast transfer speeds.

Drive died after 6 months. It took me about an hour chatting with Crucial to get approved for an RMA. What's terrible is that you have to cover shipping to Crucial and once they receive the device it takes 7-10 business days for them to inspect ship replacement. Figure another 3-5 days to receive the replacement. All in all, I'm out a drive that I use daily for work for nearly a month. Even if it gets replaced, I'm not sure I can trust the replacement not to have the same issue in 6 months. I'll never purchase another Crucial product.

Stopped working less than a week with over a 1.5TB of files on luckily had a backup, but I would never use this drive again.

Irrecoverably corrupted within a couple months of purchase and lost all data. No warning.

Drive failed after very little usage. Will not allow itself to be reformatted

Purchased as a content creator - I'm a photographer for a major brand - issues started immediately! Didnt transfer all of my photos from a photoshoot. On top of that, after I had all the images loaded into lightroom and majority of them edited, when i try to reopen the catalog saved to this harddrive, LR crashes instantly. After re-plugging in the drive, half of my images from the first shoot uploaded to the drive were magically gone. RETURNING ASAP DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE DRIVE.

This SSD doesn't have the password protection feature because Crucial never released the program (was supposed to be released in Sept 2023). So you have to use bitlocker or some other method. I spent a few hours trying to figure out how to password protect it easily. Additionally, the Crucial software did not pick up the drive right away (only showed 3gb usable), but some how my samsung magician saw it properly. For the price point, just go buy a Samsung T9, you also get 2x Free USB cables with that drive, much better value. Samsung overall is much more refined. Samsung has a built-in password software that comes on the drive. Took me minutes to setup vs hours to not even get Crucial to work.

The drive went dead when I connected the device to my laptop to review videos and photos recorded on it. I couldn't revive it. Returned it immediately.

Purchased both the X9 and X10 models for use on my Mac Mini. Almost immediately began seeing issues, error messages, corrupt files, and inability to recover files on these SSD models, either on my current Mac or on another Mac. Did research online, found numerous others complaining about the same problem. Do not purchase these units.

Crashed 1st use. Corrupted files. Second drive seemed to work ok. But idk if i fully trust them.

Did not work as an external PS5 drive for me. Every time I tried to move a group of games to it from internal storage it would error out after about 40gb and need to be repaired. Tried repairing and trying again multiple times before giving up. Not worth the hassle. Will just continue use my traditional Seagate 2tb external hdd that takes longer to transfer to - but at least works.

Does not work. The connecting cable is too small and gets disconnected frequently. After 2 or 3 times, it does not even detect now. Lost my data.

Was completely unreliable. Constantly had error issues and could not get tech support from company. Also be aware that this only has a 14 day return.

I don't know they evaluate the reading and writing speeds according to which computer and write this information. But on my imac computer, it copies a 54 mb document in 1 minute.

I had a few hard drives but I wanted one with enough storage capacity to replace them all, while also being portable. This is the absolutely best option for me and I could not be happier with it. I run a few different machines; a Mac Mini for personal computing at my desk, a Dell laptop for work and another Dell laptop for personal use. This hard drive is the perfect solution to keep at home and to travel with; both to and from my office but also for business travel. This hard drive offers unrivaled speed and portability. I started by creating a partition for a Time Machine backup. Doing so was simple and fast on my Mac. Next, I began transferring files from my other hard drives so I could have everything on one drive. I plugged it into a Thunderbolt port on the Mac and just wow, I could not believe how quickly my files were transferred, including about 100gb of videos and 50gb of music. I’ve never seen an external drive this fast. I enjoyed similar speeds on my Windows laptops, also connected via Thunderbolt 4. I now have all of my data and Time Machine backups on one super fast, ultra portable drive and I couldn’t be happier. There’s even an update coming in September that will allow me to password protect my files, love that!
