It's fast and works very well, just as advertised. I already picked up a second one.

Fast. I just hope it holds up. A back up for the computer, a backup for the back up, and a back up for that.

I purchased this SSD less than six months ago, and it has already failed. I contacted Crucial/Micron for a warranty replacement, but the replacement unit was shipped from Malaysia and I was later charged import duties and clearance fees by FedEx. That is almost 1/3 of what I originally paid for the drive. This essentially means the warranty service does not truly exist unless you are willing to pay a large unexpected fee. Between the premature failure and the ineffective warranty process, I honestly cannot recommend this product. There are other brands with more reliable drives and more consumer-friendly warranty practices.

Just what I bedded and it was easy with an employee help

Was looking for an external storage device to hold podcast audio recordings and video recordings. This harddrive is Awesome. With it's fast read and write speeds it's super responsive and makes workflows faster!

I'm getting great speeds even though I am not able to use it to its optimal capabilities.

Very happy with it as a work drive for video editing in Adobe Premiere. Had one issue though. I initially bought it to capture 6K RAW video on my Blackmagic camera, and after a few uses, it started dropping frames. So if you're looking to get one for a similar use, be careful.

Using this as my time machine back up and it is crazy fast… coupled with a thunderbolt 4 cable on my macbook pro M3 Max 14” macbook pro

This little drive does exactly what it says! Fast!

I use this as an additional drive for a Mac Mini. Read and write speeds are really fast.. I was able to copy over about 500gb off an older external SSD that this replaced in just a few minutes.

I love this SSD because it's compact and blazing fast. It also has a small hole to hang onto a keychain. Can't go wrong with it.

Very happy with this External SSD. Moved my photo library from an external hard drive to this SSD and have a dramatic improvement in file access.

I purchased two of these and both failed within a couple of months. I lost a ton of data and the $450 I invested in them. Thankfully, I have backups. There are a bunch of Reddit posts where Mac users are experiencing the same issue. After some use, you will be greeted with the following message: “macOS can't repair the disk. You can still open or copy files on the disk, but you can't save changes to files on the disk. Back up the disk and reformat it as soon as you can." At that point, you should quickly salvage as much data as possible. These are the last SSDs I will buy from Crucial.

After using 2 of these drives for just over 3 months, one of them crashed after returning from a work trip. I almost lost 2 episodes-worth of a tv show that my team shot. Luckily we had back up files and a lot of the footage wasn’t formatted in camera’s cards. Other than that we did had to recover alot of other files to finish the shows. This was something thag I didn’t expect from SSD that is supposed to be very good and fast. Definitely never buying from this brand again.
