I had been using the WD Passports for external back up hard drives when there was too much for a USB, such as saving pictures & videos. This is so much smaller & works great!

I replaced it with one with more storage. I use this now to store photos and documents. Very good product but for gaming if you have many games it’s probably better to get one with more storage space

I’m using it to host Linux in a dual boot mode with Windows and the performance is excellent! Boot to Internet is about 40 seconds which is on par with my Windows boot running on the primary laptop SSD.

Ten years ago, this would have been the size of a basket ball and cost two month's pay. More extra portable storage than I'll ever need!

Fast works with older tech

All my data on external drive and now backed up. Cheap enough to have gotten another and now have proper back up in place. Best Buy sent both drives safely and in a couple of days. Happy customer

This was bought for gameplay and it serves its purpose well. All my games loaded on it have great speed with no lag. I'd recommend this to anyone who needs a little extra space. I also had great customer service with picking the right one.

Now I have 1 TB for all my games. The small USB connection is plenty fast and I like the small size, less than 3" square.

We were renting a house while our new home was being built and with all the paperwork accumulating on my laptop; I needed something to back it up on. This little HD did the trick and boy is it fast.
