Good speed and awesome portability to carry around.

great small external drive. fast, easy to transport and just plain GOOD.

Transfer speeds are consistently within the reported range. Two of the three drives we bought have been carried in backpacks several days a week for the past six months or so and they're still working well. So they seem durable enough, some portable drives haven't held up so well. My only real complaint is the packaging. The retail package is flimsy (card stock paper type material). Since BB ships pretty much everything in bubble mailers, regardless or fragility or value, the retail box will likely be crushed and rough looking when you receive it. We ordered three that arrived in three separate mailers, retail packing on all three was crushed and torn looking. So if you plan to give one as a gift and want it to actually look new, you better pick it up in store. The thin retail box doesn't hold up well to bubble mailer shipping. Other brands of external drives that have actual cardboard retail boxes survive BB's shipping much better.

I could accommodate my data from old Laptop this device. The devise is working smoothly and trouble free. Instead of carrying my LAPTOP I can carry this which can be kept in POCKET.

Super duper, I liked the software I downloaded to go with it too--after all, it is always nice to see the health of all your storage. I was getting sick of my thumb drives piling up and was able to fit all my digital clutter on one device. Yes, I keep a lot of clutter on old mechanical drives, but this is handy for the stuff the clutter you want to search through more frequently.

I am using it between my laptop, desktop and my iPad Pro. It works seamlessly between the three devices. I have played movies with it on my iPad and there is no delay. I like that I can carry the device in my shirt pocket since it is small in size.

This thing is fast! I am able to transfer large files from my 990 pro to my crucial x6 in a matter of seconds. Also very easy to use as its just plug and play. Very happy with this product.

This small Crucial External USB is a life saver. I was able to download over 4,000 pictures and video to this small USB with so much space still leftover.

I bought it originally to store pc games from Steam. It’s fast enough to run games with no issues. I replaced it with one with more storage. I use this now to store photos and documents. Very good product but for gaming if you have many games it’s probably better to get one with more storage space

It's small and has been working for the first month. It comes with a USB-c connector with an adapter so you can plug it into older USB ports. Add to that a great price, it looks like a great deal.

This is the first time I purchased and external SSD drive and I'm not disappointed. It's small and powerful and provides both USB-C and USB-A connection with adapter. Best Buy had a good sale and I picked one up.

Easy to use, fast, and worked right out of the box

It's just as fast as I need it to be the only thing I will change it making the USBC cable a little longer the location I have needed a little longer cord

I wasn't even looking for an external portable drive, but when I happened to come across the Crucial X6 1TB SSD drive at the price advertised, I just had to take a chance. First thing that struck me when I opened the box is just how small this thing is; a little black square barely 2 1/2" square. The next thing that impressed me was how FAST it performs. I tested it by copying my entire project folder on my work laptop (HP Z3 Workstation) onto the Crucial drive as an informal benchmark. The folder I copied weighs in at 88 GB, and it transferred in less than 5 minutes. On that same laptop I have a 1 TB WD Ultra drive, and it takes almost 15 minutes to copy that same folder. For the price, speed and size, this drive is outstanding. Highly recommended!
