Tiny and mighty:) works great so far, fast, easy to use. Small size is a plus when I need to travel. The only minus is delivery..stop using FedEx..the delivery was delayed by 10(!) days from promised date. And box came smashed, Luckily drive was still ok.

Was a bit hesitant to get this as I want aware of this brand. Very surprised but how well it works and the size. This thing was so light weight i had to open the product in the store cause I thought the box was empty. It's so tiny and easy to travel with. Just wish the cord was a little longer but that's a me thing not a product thing.

Good SSD, gets the job done with decent storage size. I've downloaded games onto this even though it's an external drive and they load perfectly, runs good

I have tried several external hard-drives (both SSD and mechanical), high-capacity USB memory sticks in my music server. The Crucial X9 2T SSD is the clear winner. No hiccups. No awkward pauses. Just smooth delivery of digital data. In addition, they are small and light. I plan on buying the 4T version soon. I like that I can pick them at at Best Buy, rather than have to deal with websites and wait for UPS to deliver the product.

The Crucial X9 Portable SSD is my favorite portable storage device. I had no idea it would be this small. It is a small NVME. Think of two USB-A flash drives stacked next to one another and you have a basic idea of how big this drive is. Performance has been solid; I get transfer rates near 1,050MB/S read and write. I am sold. This is an easy drive to recommend. Unboxing: Users should know that in addition to the drive, you get a small, 9-inch USB-C to USB-C cable. If you only have USB-A ports, you will need some type of adapter. You also get a one-month trial of Adobe Acrobat Pro and links on the drive to Mylio Photo Organizer and Acronis backup software. Experience: A lot of what I love about this drive is centered on the packaging. This thing is small and convenient. But with 2TB of storage, it can store a lot of data. I assessed the X9 on my Android devices, on my Windows 11 PCs, and on my network router. It worked well on everything. Transfer rates are good. Transfer rates can vary from device to device, but I got close to the specs posted by Crucial. This drive hits the right balance of performance and price. Conclusion: This is a solid drive. I really like it and it will be my portable storage of choice going forward. Highly recommended. 5/5

I was looking to add some speed and capacity to my recording and editing process, and the Crucial X9 has been a great choice. It has been reliable and able to handle large files with ease at every stage. The X9 is really compact and light-weight but you can tell it is good quality.

I've been digitizing my collection of VHS movies I've had since the 90s and needed an external device to hold them. This was compact and had more than enough space. Worth the discounted price!

I have a macbook and I needed a large SSD to help transfer and house all my work. I make large graphic design files and hold many videos. This has been working great since I got it. I can even work off of the hard drive itself and it works just as fast as if it was on my computer. I would purchase again! Also it is great for travel being so small!

The Crucial - X9 2TB External USB-C SSD is a powerhouse in a very small package. Nothing particularly fancy or breathtaking on the aesthetics with this external drive and I am a little nervous I am going to misplace it due to its diminutive size. But "small & handy" will undoubtedly be an attractive feature of this thing to a lot of people. Hopefully there will be a variety of protective sleeves that can be added to give it a little more heft and perhaps - brightly colored options as well - to make it easy to spot. The X9 does come with a very short USB-C to USB-C, terminated cable and that is probably my only beef with it; something a little bit longer than what is provided would have been way more appealing & useful. Apart from that, the X9 screams solid performance (see related photo) and will serve as a pocket server of important files and media content. Dropping one star off my review for the included tiny cable. Micron should have included one that was at least 3 to 4 inches longer! Pros: Fast - consistently fast! Cons: USB-C to USB-C cable is too dang short!

SSD is small and portable and doesn't run super hot and is great for media storage and downloading large files
