Honest opinion

Not saying all crucial external will be the same. just my experience on owning one.

Small pocket size SSD with good overall speed!

It was very fast in read but not so fast in write. It seems that Crucial did well in this speed in read and needs to refine the write speed to make it more marketable and competitive in comparison of other similar brands. I really like the small pocket side of it.

Protecting my memories without monthly payments

Decent but could be better

I selected the Pro version for its advertised speed but did not notice the backups being any faster. I attempted to register the product but the website for this function is down (I was later told that registration is not a requirement for the warranty).

I saw this item at one best buy, ut they were unfortunately sold out. I went to another best buy and was able to get it, they barely had any left. Its a great deal for a.1tb ssd!!

Worked perfectly, until it didn't.

I put so many of my steam games on here and they all ran as if they were on my native hard drive. Today, out of nowhere, the crucial x9 pro decided to die on me. My computer doesn't recognize it no matter what cord I use. This only lasted me one month. It was a good month, but still for the price, ONE MONTH of use is atrocious. Do not buy!
