The game isn't perfect (clipping through environments), but it is very fun to play, especially with my five year old daughter. We unlocked a pegasus (yes, there is a pegasus in the game that you can unlock) and she almost lost her mind.

Cruis’n Blast is a fast, fun, and chaotic arcade racer that nails the over-the-top vibe of classic arcade games. With wild tracks, crazy vehicles (like dinosaurs and helicopters), and vibrant visuals, it's a great pick for local multiplayer and quick play sessions. It runs well on the Switch, but lacks online multiplayer and deep vehicle variety. Still, for the price, it's a solid buy for anyone craving simple, high-energy racing fun.

This game was a surprise announcement at this year's Nintendo E3 presentation. As a fan of the original, that I played first in the arcade, and then on release on the N64 I was excited. There had been a total of three games in the series that hit both arcade and the Nintendo 64, each getting more and more out there with each entry.
The original arcade release of Cruis'n Blast came to arcades in 2017, but never received a home port. The story is that Eugene Jarvis (one of the original developers of the Cruis'n series) worked on this game with his new company Raw Thrills, while they were working from home during the pandemic.
The Switch port is full featured and adds a lot of new content, well beyond what the arcade version offers. The game runs great at 1080p docked and 720p in handheld mode. The framerate is also very good at a fairly steady 60fps. Split screen mode for four players is also a great included option.
Cruis'n is arcade racing at it's finest. I like simulators like Forza or Gran Turismo, but this is even more arcade than any Burnout, Need for Speed, or Forza Horizon. There is always something going on in the background and the gameplay is smooth and more importantly fun. I whole-heartedly recommend this game to any arcade racing (or just racing) fan. The original arcade game is here, plus much more content that can be unlocked. It does not disappoint.

A great arcade style driving game. For fans of Outrun or the earlier Crus'N games this is a no brainer to purchase. While fans of more serious racing simulations might find this a bit too wild, for fans of pick up and play driving titles with wild level design this is a great buy.

This is an awesome and fun game. Perfect to play in little bursts when want to just relax and unwind. As a fan of previous Cruisn' games I can't recommend enough. Some of the things happening on screen are so ridiculous and cool sometimes I find myself laughing out loud. I think the developer put a lot of love into this port of the arcade game and game overall. It runs and looks great for a switch game and I never had any slowdown I noticed to ruin the fun. Graphics are colorful and detailed and like the music and sound effects. My only complaint would be shortness of tracks and length. But they added lots of modes and ways to play, vehicles to unlock, and other cool things that add to the replayability factor. I still play off and on after owning a while and hasn't gotten old. I know when I am feeling down if I put on this game and play a few races pretty soon I am having a Blast! Get the physical version if possible, nice box and item to have!

This is one of the most fun racing games I’ve ever played. I used to play Cruisin’ World on N64 and this scratches the itch. It is just so fun and I always love to play after a hard day. The tricks are so cool and I love the tracks. Can’t wait to try it on the big screen.

I bought this game and bored within a few times. I didn't pick it up until my son now 2 years likes to play it. We play 2 player split screen and now it's more enjoyable with two players.

This game is such a blast from the past! I remember dropping hundreds of quarters in my youth playing this in the arcade. The Switch version is even more exciting when using the Pro controller. In totally recommend this game to anyone who like a fun mindless and competitive game.

The way of high-speed, fast-paced arcade racing is unfortunately not that common today which makes Cruis'n Blast a rush of fresh air for fans of the franchise and gameplay style and will also be a treat for players of all ages looking for some top-notch action racing. This version for the Nintendo Switch takes the original arcade game and adds a variety of new tracks, vehicles, and modes while including enough replayability to make this more than worth the couple of quarters (or dollars via card swipes in today's age) would've gotten you at the arcade. Its biggest downside is its lack of online multiplayer, however it does offer split-screen multiplayer for up to 4 players as well as local connection play allowing up to 4 Nintendo Switch, each with their own copy of the game, to connect and play together within the same vicinity. Even if you don't have others to play with, the single-player content has plenty to offer to satisfy your need for speed with dozens of fantastical courses that'll have you trying to collect various cash and keys scoured about each one all while of course racing to finish first place and achieve the fastest time. All in all, Cruis'n Blast is a great pick-up and play title for even the lightest of racing fan.

A true pick it up and play style arcade racer. Purchased this to play with my 5 year old son, and we have a blast playing this together. Controls are simple, and make for an easy time racing each other. Fans of past Cruis'n or SF Rush titles from the N64 era will enjoy this one.

Look. This is not a perfect game. It doesn’t have online and there’s not as much content as some other racers. So why 5 stars then? I’ll tell you why. Because this is some of the most fun I’ve had in recent memory. Each track is one long winding path to the finish. There are no laps. And the spectacle is mind blowing. It’s just good arcade racing fun. With wheelies and barrel rolls and flips and taking out opponent racers. It’s a very simple game, but my goodness is it fun! I usually can’t play racing games for more than an hour before I get bored and never come back to them. I literally played until midnight last night, and am about to fire it up again this morning. I’ve got a big dumb grin plastered across my face and I can’t contain it. The game is just so fun!
It reminds me of San Francisco Rush back on the N64 (minus the stunt mode). They just don’t make em like this anymore.

If you remember when Cruis'n was in the arcades, you'll love this game. Graphics are great and levels colorful. Note, this game is easy to pick up, very quick sling shot type of game, not serious like Gran Turismo, and just a great game to pick up and play. If you are on the go and want some fun, this game is great for that. Even after awhile of play time, collecting keys and earning $ for upgrades is what keeps the replay going. I'm a Playstation owner, but when this game came out, it is the only reason I picked up a Switch. Hope the makers make the Cruis'n arcade games REMASTERED and in physical release as I am happy with this purchase. Got mine on day 1 release at $39.99 with a $10 gift card, but saw it on sale once at $29.99.

It's a blast to play Cruis'n Blast! Arcady racing at some of it's best. A nice way to just play a video game in an era of over-complicated development costs and mediocre AAA titles. This is what gaming is about. Fun.
