Here’s a draft for your review: --- 5 Stars – Exceeded Expectations! Wait... I don't have to wait for shipping?! That alone is a win in my book. But this Cube Tracker has so much more going for it. The battery lasts almost a year, which is perfect for someone like me who hates constantly charging. It even comes with an awesome magnet, making it super convenient to attach to anything without hassle. The app isn’t trash either—super easy to navigate and works exactly as promised. And the best part? It’s all just under $100 with no hidden subscription costs of $20 a month like some other trackers. Finally, a product that’s worth every penny. Highly recommend it!

I definitely recommend this product. It’s exactly what you need. If you need a reliable long battery life easy to use functionable tracking device it Fits magnetically almost anywhere and doesn’t come off when attached Montez subscription is a reasonable price for the easy interface and quick reliable signal, even in very remote locations and applications of the unit

Great Device, better for commercial than personal

This is a really great device. The entire setup was pretty simple overall, but the app was a little glitchy at first but once you know how to resolve it the whole thing works great. Out of the box the instructions say to plug it in and the light will flash red and when it goes solid then its charged and ready to go. It claims 5-6 hours. I charged it and after about 4 hours it when solid red so I just thought my battery was a little fuller than normal. Once it was all set up I checked the power level and it was actually only about 40%. I later charged it again and after almost 7 hours it went from 36% to 88%. It took almost 10 hours to get to 100%, but even then it never went back to solid red. Maybe its because the device was actually working as it charged so it was always just a little off of completely full? Either way, when you get it I would charge it over night at the least. Downloading the app went smoothly. No problems setting up my account either. I followed the instructions to register the device and at that point it makes you sign up for a subscription and you can’t really do anything else until you do. That’s fine, and it seemed to go pretty well. This is where I got a glitch. After adding the device it said it was added but the unit wasn’t showing up in my app. I could hold down the button on the unit and my phone would send me a notification like its supposed to, but if I open the app the device isn’t there and I couldn’t see the notifications. Eventually I closed down the app, like force stop restart your phone level close down the app, and when I opened it again the unit appeared and everything was working fine. Using the app and device worked will. It tracks thins pretty accurately and the updates are pretty consistent. The instructions tell you not to put it in a metal box or hide in next to engines and stuff so I was worried it would lose reception really easily in my car, but testing in 3 different cars and they all worked just fine. I even put it in a storage unit my neighbor has and it got the signal through that metal just fine. I wonder if the advice is for people who are using it regularly to track things in more remote locations and if the cell towers are farther away it causes issues. But if you’re mostly in and around areas where phone reception is pretty good, you shouldn’t have a problem. Battery life was a bit interesting. I had it on 1 min. location updates (the shortest period) for the first couple days and the battery level went down about 1% per day. At that rate you’d need to recharge it overnight every 3 months or so. Not the 1 year advertised, but really not bad. Once I turned down the updates to every 10 min (the longest period) it seamed to go about 1%-1.5% in three days. That would make it closer to 6-7 months on a charge. Still short of the advertised 1 year, but it was sitting in a hot car in 100 degree weather which they say affects how long the charge lasts. So I’d say that if you were in ideal conditions of mostly in a garage and then in the air conditioned / heated portion of a vehicle you might get a year, but you should generally consider it needing to be recharged every 3-6 months. That’s still pretty good all things considered. The size of the device is about the same as a cell phone, but 2-3 times a thick, and I’m pretty sure most of that is the battery. Its not super heavy but it has around 20 small magnets on the back side to try and attach it magnetically to a vehicle or storage container. I put mine in a glove box so this wasn’t really needed but in trying to test it I put it against a steel bottle and it really didn’t do much so I was skeptical. However, once I put it on a flat surface like my fridge or my friend’s storage container, it held really pretty well. I would personally still be a bit nervous if it was on the underside of a vehicle that was going over some pretty bumpy terrain, but the magnets were fairly strong. The unit uses cell towers to communicate, and the monthly service fee really is the cost of the plan plus a bit extra. It’s a bit pricy as far as service plans go for what you’re getting but its supposed to be good internationally. We have a road trip to our neighboring country up north next month and I’ll be able to test how good it is up there. We put it on my dad’s boat and took it out on the lake and it worked well. It even seemed to have slightly better reception than my phone. The biggest issue I had was the cost of the subscription. The device is good, but its not much better than a phone with a tracking app. So, if you are looking to see where a car is but have location sharing with the driver, it’s a bit useless. On the other hand, if you’re looking for piece of mind by hiding it on equipment that might get stolen, or to track a worker driving a vehicle that doesn’t want to share their location with you, then its going to be worth it. It does have a feature that you can geofence the unit in and it will tell you when the device enters or leaves that area. That’s where I think it may be a little more useful in a commercial setting than a residential one. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m also interested to know if you can let your subscription lapse and just leave the unit charged and on in a care or storage container, but only reactivate your subscription if the equipment goes missing and you want to track it. If so, that could make it a bit more useful for cheaper security and tracking. All said and done it’s a pretty useful little device, even if I won’t pay for a subscription all the time, only in the months I’m wanting to use it. And as long as you know to fully shut down the app or restart your phone if it gives you any trouble it should work pretty well for you too.

Strong tracking ability, software needs tweaks

After my son-in-law's truck was stolen several months ago (recovered quickly fortunately before it was damaged too much) we were looking for a better tracking system. He did have an Apple Air Tag hidden in the truck, and that is how it was recovered so quickly. However, since an Air Tag can only report its location when within range of an iPhone, iPad or Mac, there were numerous gaps in our ability to track the truck. The Cube uses its own cellular connection to position report, along with a GPS receiver, you have semi real-time and constant updates on its position. I have it set for position reports every 5 minutes, but that can be increased to every minute if it were stolen again for more precise location reporting. The software might perhaps benefit from some updates, though. I could not get the app to send a firmware update to the Cube. Tech support is investigating, but so far doesn't have an answer. They have been great to deal with, by the way. I would also prefer the tracking map to be more precise about the route the vehicle has traveled. Perhaps the Cube doesn't maintain a pinpoint location history, but maybe it could be added with a firmware update if it has the memory space. Right now all I see are the places it has appears to stop at, rather than the route(s) taken. That's really to only thing I can think of that would improve what is already a very good product.

The gps tracker is awesome. The magnet is very strong and signal is great. The battery last for a long time and the app tells you what the battery life is. The tracker is undetectable by any smart phone and name can be hidden from Bluetooth search. The tracker provides a both a map view or list view of locations traveled. Movement alerts can be set up for different time intervals. You can also set up a gel fence for when the tracker enters and or exits the geo fence . I have a fence set as my home and my daughter’s school so I know when she leaves for school, arrives to school and leaves school . Love this product and the app!

The pro gps Cube tracker works amazingly well. Very reliable and the battery charge is phenomenal, at 85% after two weeks. I sleep better at night knowing my car can be located even if thieves somehow were able to steal it. I highly recommend this.

The device's battery life is outstanding, lasting an impressive duration on a single charge. I am pleased with its enhanced speed, accuracy, and autonomous connection to the wireless network, rendering additional devices unnecessary. The interface is remarkably user-friendly, and I appreciate the controls and the overall ease of tracking, particularly with the live feature.

Overall I really like this gps tracker, but I'll start off with why I took one star off. Its a tad bulky, about the size of two large cellphones in cases put together, for reference. They also recommend to not place it inside a metal cavity, not to place it in the engine bay, and to make sure and place the gps tracker facing up. This makes finding a location on a vehicle very tricky, especially if you want to hide it really well. To me this makes the very strong magnets useless and in the way. They make up about half the thickness of this tracker. I couldnt find a spot on any of my vehicles that met the recommended mounting requirements. They make smaller trackers, I'm thinking this size would be better for construction equipment, trailers, RV's etc. I also think they should leave the name/logo off the device. As soon as its spotted by a bad guy, I'm sure it would get tossed. Beyond all that, its easy to set up, plans are $19.95 a month or $198 annualy. The app was very simple to opperate. Location is easy to find in the app as well. You can also set up boundries, it keeps a travel log, you can also share with friends or family your location. Battery life at idle is 1 year. The best part, and rare these days is a lifetime warranty.

Game changer for keeping elderly safe

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

We purchased this vehicle tracker for an elderly family member's car after an incident of them getting lost. Previously we had been using apple air tags, but found that they did not update the location reliably enough when we were actually faced with needing to intercept them. This tracker has been a life saver (literally and figuratively). Setting it up was relatively smooth – not foolproof, but for someone who is relatively tech savvy it shouldn't be much trouble. There are a 1 or 2 spots in the set up process where you should wait ~30min before moving on to the next step. If you move on immediately, it may seem that it works, but you'll be prompted again sometime later that day to repeat the step. This was mildly annoying, but really was not much trouble for us. We ended up placing the tracker in the glove compartment (so perhaps we could've bought a cheaper cube model that's not as magnetic and durable). It has worked perfectly so far. We've been using the tracker for a month with the reporting interval set to 1 minute and the battery is still at 100%. The car has not moved much, and we haven't needed to use the live tracking feature outside of our initial testing, but I think it still being at 100% is a good indicator that the battery life on this thing is great. The location history feature was an unexpected gamechanger. Now we're able to understand fully how often this family member is driving, and can see if they took some "extra laps" getting lost along the way. This data will be very helpful to us as we continue on our way to getting our family member off the road entirely. If you are trying to keep tabs on an elderly family member, I highly recommend cube. The improved tracking (as compared to air tags or tiles) is well worth the $20 a month cellular fee.

Nicely built and works well. Comes with USB charger that will initially require several hours to charge but will be good to go after that. The app is well designed and self explanatory and the very easy to use. Customer service available via messages through the app, will reply in a matter of minutes within regular business hours. The device is very compact and sturdy, and comes with very powerful magnets that will attach on any flat metal surface.

Very good product. Only problem I had was buying it a week before they went on sale. The magnetic holds very well all 3 have remained in place even tho one is on a work truck on work sites most of time. Also setting up the safe space is a great call for saving battery. I noticed if you don’t set up throughout the night since the gps hits and misses it’ll be over a few feet this way or that way making the battery work that much more so better to have it go in to sleep when it arrives back in the yard. If you have it hard wired it won’t matter but I’m forgetful and always short on time so getting a few extra days out of a charge is a big help. I do wish they had a bundle plan tho making it more affordable for those with fleet vehicles and hopefully that happens because I’d love to do the rest of my fleet with these. Overall it’s been a good product as far as set up, dependability durability and cost. I’ve had for two months and hopefully this will be my only review
