Great product, not a bad price. Location is almost exact, best I've ever seen. Subscription price is not that bad. I like how you can toggle it on and off. Very strong magnet on back. Been using it about a month now, and battery is at 90%..

This GPS tracker is pin-point accurate, has a long-lasting battery, and comes with very intuitive and accessible software. The history tab allows you to track minute-by-minute on a Google-powered map. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone trying to keep track of vehicles, whether a fleet of trucks or a child.

This product has been amazing. Live tracking updates are the most accurate for any device I’ve used. Easy to use, accurate. The battery life is the best part. I just wish I could put the battery life of this model into the smaller one. The price is higher than some other tracking devices but the accuracy and updates areworth it. One thing to know is that each device requires a separate monthly subscription.

I was s little apprehensive about installing a tracker due to the fact that most of the ones I've tried were not very accurate. This cube is spot-on. Battery life is awesome even on the most frequent communication setting. And if it says it's at a specific address trust me it's there. I'm impressed

The Cube GPS Tracker has exceeded my expectations in every way. From setup to daily use, it’s been incredibly reliable and easy to use. The app is user-friendly, and the tracker itself is compact enough to attach to almost anything keys, bags, even my child’s backpack.

    Great device, expensive subscription

I've used some small GPS devices in the past for asset management to varying degrees of success, each one has their nuances and things they do well or not so well. The cube pro is another such device. Packaging: To start, the packaging actually makes it seem like a cheap device. There's not much to it and it's flimsy. I get that it's just a GPS tracking device but still there's nothing to write home about here. Setup: Fortunately setup is very straightforward, install the app, charge the device, scan the barcode and select the subscription. The device uses micro USB to charge which I don't entirely get in this day of USB type C. This seems like a poor selection for interface. The subscription is a somewhat steep $19.95/mo which puts it near the top of the personal tracking device range. There's many that are not quite so expensive. App: The app is intuitive, they don't overload you with options, you're given a limited number of update intervals and I can't seem to find a way to live track it, so 1 minute intervals seem to be as good as it gets. The location history can be a little confusing as if the person drove a lot that day, there's a very narrow window to scroll through the history. The map does not follow the history scrolling unless you select it, and tapping locations on the map does not show the corresponding history location in the list. A couple of misses with this. If the tracker moves a lot then there's a jumble of blue lines all over the map and it can be confusing to follow what happened when. There is a scroll line that you can move forward and back that moves the corresponding marker around the map and updates the history listing, it just seems like a miss to not have it available the other ways as well, or to have some level of "rewind" or "replay" option. Also the scroll bar is the same color as the line on the map so at first it wasn't even apparent what it was for, I thought it was a mapping error Battery life: The device defaults to 1 minute updates yet the literature touts a 1 year battery life. At 1 minute the device will not last anything close to a year, judging by what i was seeing it'll be closer to a month. Device build: I was honestly surprised at how light it was, seems that with it being so large yet so light they could have put a beefier battery in there. Many GPS devices with cellular capabilities like this one are about the size of a pack of gum, so for this to be as big as it is all of that remaining space should be battery, but that doesn't seem to be the case. The magnets however are very strong so there's no concern with losing it if you attach it properly Overall: Despite a couple of shortcomings (expensive subscription, micro USB charging, and slightly confusing mapping) it's actually a pretty decent device. I'd recommend it if you're in the market for a self contained unit that just works.

I am trying to find a more functional tracking device for my vehicle because it was stolen from my driveway a few months ago. When this happens you learn a lot about what works and what does not. Thieves will immediately remove the factory gps locator in your car, this takes only a few minutes to do and you can expect it to be done within the first 15 - 30 minutes. However, rest assured, if an app exists for your vehicle then there are multiple factory trackers installed aside from the main gps (air pressure, gas level, oil health, etc.) and depending on the maker you may or may not be able to work with them to locate your vehicle using these alternative trackers. Mine is Ford and there were alternative tracking methods on my car and they said they could help, but they turned out to be too slow to react or respond to help. For this reason I purchased the Cube Pro GPS. This will be my 3rd asset tracking device to try out. I have three current subscriptions for tracking devices that I am comparing. Trak4, Apple AirTag, and now, Cube. Nothing compares to the AirTag’s app experience. Hands down it is the best user friendly interface I’ve used. And, no monthly subscription. The battery lasts a couple of years and tracking is seamless. The problem is that anyone with an iPhone will know they’re being tracked. Then there is Trak4, which I picked up from Amazon. This is the most relative to Cube. They both have very limited information online about how to maximize their usage. Troubleshooting is limited. They both appear to use Google maps as their location platform. The history viewing is easy to access. Geofencing is a bit easier on the Trak4. With Cube, I had trouble creating a fence for my work address, as an incorrect address comes up in Cube, so I still haven’t figured that out. It did record a geo fence for that incorrect 22907 Fossil Peak San Antonio TX 78261 by accident and I can’t seem to easily delete it. These are simple issues that shouldn’t exist. The Cube cost me $19.99/ mo. and the Trak4 costs $21.99/ mo., the Trak4 was much cheaper to purchase than the Cube, even with the Black Friday discount. I haven’t had to contact support on the Cube, but I have on Trak4, by email, and they were thorough and promptly responsive. Between the Cube and Trak4, the Cube has a bit more easy to use interface in comparison to the Trak4, there are more customizations, as well, and to upgrade your device reporting doesn’t cost anything other than more battery, so you’d need to charge it more often. Whereas the Trak4 prices their reporting activity in the monthly subscriptions. I found the batteries to last about the same and definitely not for a year as proclaimed. I do have my tracking on the highest reporting option on both and my battery seems to last a couple of months on Trak4 and I haven’t had the Cube two months yet, but it appears to deenergize at about the same pace. I don’t understand the benefit of the ring feature on the Cube, but it’s there and not on Trak4, and of course, Apple AirTag also has a locating beacon. The Cube is black and has magnets to attach to your asset, which I like best, although it is the largest of all three, so finding a good hiding place is challenging. There isn’t a lot of information to read on how to maximize the use of the Cube or Trak4 online from what I can tell so far, but I haven’t done extensive research either. I still need more time to assess the Cube, to say if I prefer it to the Trak4, for now theyre equals, to me. The AirTag is a no go because obviously I don’t want the thieves that stole my vehicle to know they’re being tracked, and chances are one of them will own an iPhone. In a perfect world I would love to see the Cube smaller without the ring feature (to stave accidental awareness to the wrong people!), an easier to use interface with tutorials of how to best utilize the device. Lowering the monthly to $9.99, would be more digestible, especially considering the high initial investment.

The Cube GPS Pro is a rugged, compact GPS tracker with an IP67 rating, providing reliable tracking through 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity. It features real-time tracking, geofencing, and SOS alerts available through monthly or annual subscriptions, offering self-monitored security and peace of mind for personal and business use. Setup and Initial Use - 4/5 Setting up the Cube GPS Pro is effortless. Upon charging, download the Cube app, choose a data plan, and activate the device. The package includes a micro USB cord, a sticker, and the Cube GPS Pro. The tracker is encased in a durable, weather-proof metal housing with powerful rare earth magnets for easy installation and allows for easy temporary tracking. Build Quality, Battery Life, and Charging - 5/5 The Cube GPS Pro boasts an impressive battery life, lasting up to a year with 10-minute pings. It is well-equipped for tracking needs with its straightforward charging process via micro-USB and its ability to operate in temperatures ranging from 14°F to 131°F. However, it should be noted that the device may not be suitable for long-term use in wintry weather conditions due to it not functioning well at temperatures 15 degrees below freezing. Moreover, the device enters power-saving mode for extended battery life when not in constant use or connected to WiFi networks in linked "Safe Places". User Experience and Interface - 1/5 While the Cube GPS Pro offers valuable location tracking and safety features, the user interface and app functionality could be improved. SOS alerts can be programmed to send emergency messages, and geofencing ensures automatic alerts when the tracker moves in and out of your set zone. It is essential for Cube to invest in UI and website innovation to enhance user experience. A simple improvement would be the addition of a button to request an instant update or on-demand ping without waiting for the set time for a GPS location to be taken. The web interface provides minimal data, functioning only as a timeline of all the plots on the map. Moreover, the only way to export your data is from the app under location history then it emails you in a CSV file. With the CSV you can do more in other software but the data is just longitude, latitude, and speed. Intuitiveness and user experience could be much better, and it is hoped that this will improve with time as software development and improvements are made. A straightforward interface is warranted with overlay buttons for requesting a single ping, enabling live tracking, turning on the speaker from anywhere, and a geofence button, both in the app and on the web. Patience is required with this product as the web interface and app are in need of an overhaul. To be relevant, it needs to be more robust and have more data points, aside from serving as a GPS journal. SOS Alerts, Safe Places, and Geofencing - 3/5 The multi-function button offers three set customizations, including programming text messages and GPS coordinates as you see fit. SOS alerts with a preset emergency message and location will be sent to the shared users in Cube with a triple button press. Another feature is to program it at two presses to automatically text loved ones to let them know you got home if they don't have a phone or do not want to text themselves. Geofencing is also available to get alerted automatically when the tracker moves in and out of your set zone. Alerts are sent via email and in the app as notifications. Connectivity and Location - 4/5 The Cube GPS Pro stands out for accurate tracking, even in challenging environments, owing to its innovative location methods, including GPS, cell tower triangulation, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi signals. However, the device's software and app implementation may be seen as a downside as it functions like that of beta software, even though it is stable. Nonetheless, it gets the job done for basic tracking functionality and location history. Pros +Long battery life - up to 1 year (you can always fully charge before heavy use) +Live tracking for up to 1 hour continuously +Strong magnetic base +Rugged IP67 Weatherproof build +Location Accuracy Cons -Intervals are not customizable and should be able to be set at longer gaps like 24 hours, 12 hours, hourly, etc. -If you start the ringer to find it, there is no way to turn it off. You must wait for the "jingle" to finish playing. -The interface is disappointing and not finished, in my opinion -Nothing is done with the data aside from plotting them in a timeline. -Must pay for 4GLTE activation, the device is only useful with. -There is no clear "Worldwide Coverage." It is colored like a hyperlink, but there is nothing to show coverage. -The cell Network used needs to be clarified. What exactly is running connectivity here? The Verdict - 3/5 The Cube GPS Pro is good hardware but there is LOTS of room for improvement. As a rugged, compact GPS tracker with real-time tracking, geofencing, and SOS alerts. It boasts a long battery life, magnetic base, and IP67 weatherproof build excels. However, the interface and app functionality need improvement. The device offers accurate tracking in challenging environments but has limitations in terms of customizable intervals and worldwide coverage (although not outlined clearly). If these things sound important to your GPS tracking needs, this is for you. Just remember to be patient, as this seems to be barebones operational at the moment.
