CUBE is My New GPS Tracker of Choice.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Cube Vehicle GPS Tracker is not just for cars, its for everything! I am currently using it in my enclosed trailer and plan on adding 2 more to my ATVs. The shear response the device gives when looking at features and quality, the Cube delivers flawlessly. The Cube Tracker does have a 10 to 17 day battery life but I wanted to be able to leave in my trailer for months on end. I did this by purchasing a portable battery brick from Best Buy and after 7 days solid, I can report the battery is 100% in the Cube and the battery backup is at 98%. So, I should be able tp get an easy 3 months off a charge now at minimum and utilizimg the many app features, I get updared reports every 5 minutes unless it starts moving. Yes, thats right, you have virtual fencing, time interval charges, and more. The virtual fencing is my favorite withy trailer becUse even when I move it past 200 ft out of my range I set, I am notified immediately. I love this because if I go to a hotel, I can set a new virtual fence so if the trailer moves outside the marked area on the map, instant notification and the tracking can be started. There is accessories available as well for cars and trucks and even your pet. OBD2 port charging cables to collars, this is trulyva universal tracking device that actually works on a cell network along with GPS to always get the info you need to find your belongings. The tracker is real accurate, within 25 ft outside everytime, most within 10. I did attach it to my dog for a run at the park and it kept up with her movement when I set to 1 minute intervals, pretty neat for finding a lost or loose dog. The app is really easy to use and setup, having the tracker up and running in minutes once you choose your plan. Yes, there is a monthly fee but to have the security of knowing your big money items are safe or nore easily found is worth $20 a month all day long. I am super happy with the Cube and plan on buying more along with telling friends and family.

This little thing works!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This little Cube GPS does its work efficiently and effectively. The set up is simple. The device is charged through a USB cable. I charged it up for a couple of hours, and the charge lasted several days with room to spare. The cube is controlled and monitored through an iOS or android Cube Tracker app, and it contains a SIM chip which is activated through the app. A cellular connection is needed for the location monitoring and tracking of your cube. A low-priced cellular subscription is required, but usage is unlimited and it can be cancelled at any time. There is no cancellation fee. I charged it up and placed it in my wife’s car- with her knowledge and permission, of course. She had to journey into a neighboring city a couple of hours away for an overnight stay, and the tracking app showed the progress of her journey, almost in real time. You will be looking at a GPS tracking map on your phone showing the exact position of the Cube GPS as it travels down the highway or stops in a stationary location. It would be a similar experience to using Google Maps in a car, but you could be looking at the tracking map from literally hundreds of miles away. My wife let me keep the cube in her glove compartment for several days and I was able to monitor the location of her vehicle without exhausting the original charge. If this device were being permanently placed in a fleet vehicle, optional cables are available to attach it to a car battery. The device is small enough to be threaded through the collar of a medium sized or larger dog. I think it might be a little big to be threaded through the collar of a miniature breed. The manufacturer suggests that the Cube GPS could also be used to monitor family members suffering from Alzheimers or dementia symptoms. In that regard, it could become a life saver. It is easy to appreciate the utility of this device. It just works. If you think you need it, you probably do.

Cool device, bad monthly subscription
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Cube GPS is a nifty gadget that is used to keep track of item locations such as a backpack or a vehicle or even a pet, and can be viewed in real time on your smart phone by downloading the free Cube app. The Cube comes with extra expenses however, it uses 4G cellular service much like how a phone would use cellular service to be able to send and receive a signal, and as such a paid subscription is necessary. $198 a year if you buy the whole year or $19.95 if you go month to month. The Cube itself is made very well, it’s not small but not huge either, the casing is made out of metal and just has a very nice design to it. Personally I feel like there are better, cheaper alternatives out there, for example one of the problems with this device is that it is a little too big to just carry around with your keys for example, or in your pocket, even attaching it to a dog‘s collar wouldn’t really work unless it’s a big dog. I do however think that the best use for the Cube is to install it in your vehicle, hard wiring it to the battery (kit sold separately) would ensure that the battery never runs out of juice, one advantage the Cube has over another product like for example an AirTag is that it won’t notify you that there is a GPS in the vehicle. One thing I hate about the AirTag is that for example if I’m riding in a friends car that has an AirTag, The AirTag will let me know that an AirTag has been following me around, not only is this super annoying because I can’t get rid of the constant messages, but it would also notify a crook that there is an AirTag in the vehicle that they just stole. The battery last between 10-60 days depending on configuration, The app is free and fairly easy to use, and has several features like Geo-fencing, and ability to share your location.

Chirp Your Way to Peace of Mind!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Cube GPS Tracker was just what I needed this year. I was unfortunately the victim of car theft and my backpack that had my tracker was with me. I was at the gym, and the thieves were so good I didn't even know that my car had been broken into until I examined the passenger door which had been tampered with. I was able to see the backpack was near the gym and discarded with my tracker. I was bummed but it is so neat to see how accurate the tracking system is on the maps. Set up took me like 2 minutes, it's small enough to store in a discrete pocket, or put on your pet's leash. Charging at first took a bit but the battery literally can last 2 weeks. Oh and my favorite part is if I lose my backpack in my house I can make the Cube chirp which was cool. Honestly, I don't want to lose my bag but knowing that I can make it chirp is sort of fun. This product is one of those items you don't think you'll need it, until you do... sort of like credit. When you want credit you can't get it and when you're offered credit you don't want it. I'm so glad I have this in my life for peace of mind.

Piece of Mind
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been looking for a GPS tracker just like this for my ATV. This GPS unit is the perfect size for placing/hiding it into my Raptor 660R. It has a rechargeable battery. There is an optional OBD-ii, and hardwire kit available, but in my situation the rechargeable battery is the best option. Battery life is expected to be 10-60 days depending on the configuration. I've had this installed and running for the past week using all the recommended settings via the app, and the battery is still showing 100%. This GPS requires a monthly service fee starting at $16.50 per month, which I'm not too crazy about. The instructions to set it up are straight forward, but I had an issue with the LED indicator not working. I was still able to set it up. Depending on how this works out, I may end up getting a hardwire kit if I decide to continue paying the monthly fee to keep it on. Likes: 1.) Compact and easy to hide 2.) Rechargeable battery with decent life 3.) Easy to set up Dislikes: 1.) Monthly subscription $$$ 2.) Micro USB charge port instead of USB-C 3.) Non functioning LED indicator

Durable and Discrete GPS Tracking
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The CUBE GPS device is great for tracking the location and movement of anything it can be attached to or packed into. I personally have this for tracking the location of my car. The device itself is solid and has an oblong loop on each side of the device for attaching to keyring, animal collar, belt, zip tie, etc. After unboxing, the device needs to be plugged in and charged for two hours. A small red LED will blink while charging and turn solid when done. I downloaded the CUBE Tracker app onto my phone, set permissions for accessing the location and using Bluetooth. Then I set up the service license, which can be billed monthly or annually. Next I paired the device with my phone and showed the map with the device location. A Ring button on the bottom of the map will play a short set of electronic tones from the device itself, for locating the device. A handy feature if you attach it to your keys. An important aspect of the CUBE GPS is the use of alerts for Fence Locations, Proximity entering/leaving, and SOS alerts. These alerts can be shared with friends and family. Custom messages can be assigned to three different SOS messages. I configured my messages and sent out invites. My first test of the device was to put the CUBE GPS in my pocket and go for a one hour bike ride. I set the tracking interval to 10 minutes. After my ride, I checked the map and it perfectly recorded my location every 10 minutes during the ride. I can assume there are many situations where this device can become useful for personal assets tracking, animal locations, and personal safety. It can also be stored in packages for tracking delivery via vehicles and aircraft. My only ding is the CUBE App didn’t play nice with my iPad, but it worked perfectly on my iPhone. I highly recommend the CUBE GPS device for anyone needing these types of tracking. Device Features • Durable, high quality construction. • USB charging port. • LED charging indicator. • Built-in speaker for electronic tones. • Button for pairing device, power, panic alert. • Panic alert messages for 3 second hold, double click, and triple click. App Features • Map display in map mode or satellite mode. • Show current location or history of movement/locations. • Display battery level of the device. • Name the device. • Set working mode to Personal belongings, Pet, Car, Fly mode. • Enable/Disable Precise Positioning. (Best when outdoor.) • Reporting interval from every 1 minute to every 10 minutes. • Can alert on approach (enter Bluetooth range), on separation (leaves Bluetooth range), and on High Temperature (50 C). • Set custom messages for SOS alerts. • Device Sharing for inviting friends and family to install the GPS Tracker app and be able to receive alerts. • Safe Place setting (within default Wi-Fi location). • Setup of Fence locations. Notifies when device enters/leaves fence location. • Selection of 5 different ring tones.

Jack of All Trades GPS Tracker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.he Cube GPS Tracker is an interesting device. It's a tiny black rectangular shaped device with a location for straps on either end. If it did not state “GPS” in bold letters, you would not know what it is and one could confuse it for a paperweight. The design is very minimalistic, and given that the instructions provided, while wholly detailed providing everything under the roof in operation, missed a critical step - how to turn on the device. Upon opening it, you are asked to charge it for 2 hours using the microUSB cable or any other cable you may have. There is a tiny blinking red dot near the power supply connector that blinks to say its charging. Once fully charged, it stays red. If you aren't looking for that tiny dim red light, it's hard to miss the charging status. The cube GPS tracker uses your phone to do the rest of the install process. The instructions state you to download the app, create an account and then tap the icon to add the cube tracker into your account. Maybe a rookie mistake, but 24 hours went by before I realized, at no point did I turn on the GPS unit. Every Time I checked the app, the locations showed where I was at. It wasn't until I left the GPS tracker at home did I realize, it was not on, and the blue dot on the tracker was my current location. Checking the instructions, I noted there was no instruction step for ‘turn on the device’ anywhere in the manual. The instructions do denote how to ‘reset’ the device or use the SOS mode. In both cases, the instructions don't really state where the button is (for the record it is on the underside). To turn on the GPS tracker, hold the button located on the underside for 10 seconds until you hear a beep. Now that we got over that little hiccup… I have to say I am in love with this device. I am not new to GPS trackers. Given that two of my cars have OBD2 based trackers from different companies and I have been using them for a few years now. The Cube GPS tracker is not perfect - as an ad-hoc GPS tracker, it is far more flexible than fixed GPS trackers that use the OBD2 port. The flexibility in placement in a car is useful to prevent thieves from finding your GPS tracker. However, the reporting from the GPS tracker is a lot to be desired. There is no speed tracking, speed geo-fence, brake force detection, engine start and stop, mileage or trouble codes to alert you of a problem, things I expect from a GPS tracker if you are to use it in automotive mode. The Cube GPS tracker just provides location and that's it. As long as you have a battery charge, it will report its location in 1 minute intervals. If you use the live tracking mode to try to find a moving vehicle, it will show you a live location that is 15-30 seconds behind the reality of the actual location until its battery runs out. You can get a OBD2 port connector to power the GPS unit but at that point I’d get a dedicated automotive tracking GPS that has features that you’d want to keep an eye on your teen or vehicle. The Cube GPS tracking when utilized for automotive tracking purposes needs a lot of improvement to be a solid product in this space. What made me fall in love with the device is not the automotive car tracking feature. It is the general purpose use of a device to track things in your life. It supports various modes, from Pet tracking to personal item tracking. Each of the modes changes the reporting time for your tracker from 1 minute intervals to 5 minute intervals. Of course you may override it at any time. The Cube GPS tracker use as a car is a bit limited due to battery and reporting deficiencies - but the flexibility of the Cube GPS in its varied use case is far superior to anything I have used before, and far above any Apple Airtag or Tile tracker that uses BLE technology would ever do. The GPS tracker which can be used with bluetooth to pair it with your phone for proximity tracking and also connect to wifi to define safe zones and do indoor and outdoor tracking (when you set safe zones). It's a go-anywhere do-anything tracker. You can throw it in your bag or put it in your purse, attach it to your pet or hide it in your child's backpack. The neat SOS mode would alert you if the button is pressed, thus alerting you and your friends of trouble. As long as the device is able to see the sky, the GPS tracker would work, and help you find your lost item or person. The device does use LTE-M which is the new low power, wide band low speed communication technology to allow you to transmit data over large distances, and in this case using the verizon backbone My thoughts are this.. I love it. I am not a big fan of the stability of the product’s mobile app as it is still not matured and stable. In the time frame I have had it, it has gone through several app updates, and the last one seems to have broken all the features I had written about above. Hopefully this will be rectified soon. As new features are put on and the product stabilizes, this will be a killer product, and a must have. The monthly monitoring costs can add up quickly and is an added expense, but it is not much different from other GPS trackers that I currently pay for on a monthly basis. The overall dependability and accuracy and semi real time location reporting is worth every penny in my book. The battery life is pretty decent, and one can theoretically charge it up once a week (if you use a 3 minute reporting interval) and use it as a safety tracker for everyday life. Pros: * Discrete battery operated GPS Tracker - easy to slip in and out of bags, dog harness, cars, etc * Adjustable reporting time for GPS response * Perfect discrete personal tracker for everyday use. * Requires the app to shutdown the tracker - once on, it cannot be shutdown manually. Cons: * This product mobile app is still in its infancy and will improve over time with features - at the time of this review, the app has bugs that are being worked out with updates. * In car tracking mode only provides GPS location. There is no speed tracking, brake force indication, mileage driven or time stamps, or any other metrics - even if you use the ODB2 Port adaptor to power the device. * As a pet tracker, it does not measure sleep or motion metrics in the app like a dedicated pet GPS tracker would do. Requires a pet collar clip to be purchased separately and does not have the battery lifespan of some of the competing pet trackers. * No indications of it being on other than a small faint led light when plugged in. * When in car mode and using “live” tracking, there is a 15-25 second delay between what the screen shows and where the car actually is, this was tracked while being on the phone with my partner as she ran her errands.

Pet tracking with the CUBE GPS
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've used the CUBE GPS to track the location of our dog while she's roaming in the woods and fields on our property. A key feature for this purpose is the ability to turn on real-time tracking. The real-time tracking has impressive accuracy and we've enjoyed seeing the area she's covering (the app provides a line trace of the cube's path over time). Battery life is impressive - we only had to charge a few times over the course of a month with lots of real-time tracking, which drains the battery more quickly. Overall, happy with the purchase with a few quibbles: Pros: 1. real-time tracking 2. easy set up 3. great battery life 4. neat data Cons: 1. App isn't straightforward to use and took some time to figure out. 2. Subscription fees - $20 / month seems steep and you have to use the app to cancel your subscription. 3. Documentation isn't great - you'd probably find better help googling than using CUBE's online help database

GPS Tracker with a twist!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The CUBE GPS tracker is an interesting idea - kind of like other "tags" or bluetooth trackers, with the twist of having cellular service connected. There are many ways this could be used - both productively and, well, perhaps a little less than above board. For my purposes, the GPS tracker would be a great item to have to keep in a book bag or briefcase - or even better yet, a piece of luggage when traveling (especially if I were to check a bag!). Other uses I would be a bit cautionary with could be somewhat of an invasion of privacy should the device be placed in someone else's car/bag/luggage, etc. But, for the legitimate purposes, the CUBE tracker is awesome. Not only is the actual device small and relatively light, it charges quickly (and keeps a charge) and set up was a breeze. There are multiple functions within the app for tracking, tracking history, current location, and the ability to have the device ring until you dismiss (or find!) it. I found this to be a really nifty option when I sort of semi-connected the device to my keys - it is too heavy to keep on a keychain all the time, but sure helped me find my keys several times! Overall, I'd say this is a great little device to add to my list of gadgets. Privacy concerns aside, this device does exactly what it is designed to and, in the right hands, can be very useful and helpful.

Convenient, Accurate, Easy to use
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great tracker! Activation is easy as well as canceling. Love being able to change interval timing and the option for live- time tracking. Works better than one of my vehicle manufacturer apps that does mediocre tracking. Love the size, as it is easy to conceal. Will be purchasing more as my fleet increases!

Works great!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Tracker works flawlessly, gives actual real time updates. I have had this tracker for a couple years and the battery life is still amazing. Didn’t use it for a whole 6-8 months and battery was still working. Even though the Subscription costs money it’s still worth it. I got the collar clips for my dog and this has saved me a few times.
