These “stainless steel” items showed scratches on first use. By third use, there were visible wear on bottom. Register these items if you buy. At least you may have chance at getting a usable set.

Was impressed when I opened it, now not so much.

The set looks fantastic, but now all the pots and pans are getting these little spots like many of the other reviewers are pointing out. I don't know if this is from salt or what but, the internal coating may be corroding. They are supposed to be dishwasher safe, which I belt as these spots really only change after cooking. I suspect that it may be salt used in cooking that is causing this, even with adding it after boiling the water to minimize the effect. The funny thing is that my roommates set from a different brand isn't doing this after being used for years. Bad metal chemistry?
