We were in need of new toaster, and I wanted one that would match our stainless steel appliances. This toaster makes perfect toast. It toast so evenly that my wife said it was restaurant quality toast. Looks great and works great. Happy with my purchase.

Good sturdy toaster that looks good with our other stainless steel appliances. Good for toasting wider items like bagels. Simple design with some nice features. Great addition to our kitchen!

This toaster, though not the cheapest works better than some of the $100 or more toasters that we have tried. Very happy with the purchase

Well I had a convection oven die on me, but I was sick of it anyways. Those convection ovens are just too slow to heat up for toast.. you know what you need for toast? A toaster. This is a good looking toaster. That's pretty much it. No frills, nothing special, seems like it has a standard egg timer inside of it. Aside from costing a bit much for a standard toaster, it seems like a good choice. Heats up very quickly, which is great for people always in a hurry, but watchout the outer shell also gets quite hot. But wait that's where its ONE feature comes in, you can raise the lever up to bring your toast closer to the opening. Disregarding that this has been a feature on toasters for a million years, it's nice to have, when it works, but the problem with this specific toaster is that its just too light weight, putting any pressure up on the lever raises the whole toaster more than it does the lever itself, kinda silly. In conclusion: it makes toast, probably costs a bit more than it should, no frills.

Works well but needs a better power cord

My last toaster was also a stainless steel clad by Oneida which lasted about 8 years. Construction of both my old one and this one are largely stainless with both having a plastic bottom. I mention that as when I first tried mine out it off-gassed the stinky plastic smell which fumigated all of us downstairs. After that funky business it was just fine and worked well. Another comparison to my old toaster is that the power cord isn't very flexible and doesn't seem as robust as my old Oneida which had a more flexible rubber insulated cord which used a good heavy gauge copper conductor which never got warm or hot like the power cord to this model does. I think that the power cord is one place where many manufacturers cut costs and on a large inductive load appliance (like a toaster) a quality power cord becomes a very important part of the design. Copper conducts better than aluminum and won't get hot like the aluminum cords will do. I would certainly pay more on a toaster that touted "heavy gauge flexible COPPER power cord" in lieu of stiff plastic aluminum cord that is hot to the touch after using the toaster. I'll continue to use mine for certain but I would not recommend using this in a hospital or retirement facility where it may be more difficult to monitor how hot that cord is getting. I wish there was a better quality toaster available that could fit that need but unfortunately it doesn't look like we make toasters in the United States anymore.

Worth the extra money. Toasting is even. The dial is readable and the adjustments make sense. Large slots and a pop up feature.

Toast evenly on both sides. No issues. Wide enough for bagels. Crumb clean up is easy. Footprint reasonably small and fits nicely on the counter

The more toaster reviews you read the more confusing it gets. Read reviews of a specific toaster on one website then on another and you think you are looking at two completely different products. So I decided to take a deep breath and order one I like the looks of. Well this happens to be a very decent toaster, browns the bread evenly and consistantly. Did not try toasting more than 3 batches of toasts on the same - light setting and all three batches came out pretty much the same color. Can't ask for much more from a toaster. The slots could be longer though.

We have had the same little toaster for most of our 50 sum years of our marriage and it finally gave up its ghost. This Cuisinart toaster has been great. The toast comes out perfect - no burning. We really like that it can take larger sized slices of bread or bagels or whatever we want to toast. We are really appreciating our new toaster. We hope it lasts as long as our first one.

This toaster is awful! Anything more than setting 1 and your toast burns! And the lever to hold the bread in the toaster doesn't want to go all the way down & you have to do it multiple times to get it to stay down. Aesthetically it is nice to look at, but functionally it is dissappointing!
