Not a good choice

It will do one side almost too dark and leave the other side barely toasted. I tried the different settings but really you can’t use the other settings much if you can’t get it to toast right to begin with. I have other products from this brand that I like so I was very disappointed with this one.

Replaced different brand that one side stopped working. I only use it for toast and it does that to perfection and evenly on both sides. I’m happy.

Setting both temperature/timer controls the same gives the same results. Time is similar to our old Viking 4 slice toaster and the cost is noticeably less.
