This coffee maker was quite the premium brewer but the one I got would not brew without coffee grinds ending up in pot and spilling down the side of the pot horrible with paper or metal filter.

Purchased September of 2019. On vacation all of November. It is 24 December, and the pot no longer grinds or works. No more Cuisinart. Second one I've had trouble with.

Best grind and brew out there

I bought this to replace my Breville grind and brew when it hit the skids. I did alot of research, for a replacement grind and brew, 2 must-haves were a burr grinder and a warming plate. This machine has my two must haves, and a whole lot more. It’s quiet and it grinds coffee very efficiently. I’ve gotten almost 4 four parts of coffee off 1/2 pound of beans. On maximum strength flavor my only gripe, is that if the Kraft isn’t perfectly placed with the handle perpendicular to the machine pointing out then the basket won’t drain properly and the coffee just leaks all over the placeso when you buy this machine, make sure that when you leave the carafe overnight that it’s pointing directly outward, and that’s my only gripe one and only.

Excellent machine. Grinds and brews great coffee; easy to use multiple settings. Worth the money but you are serious about your coffee.

Makes a great cup of coffee, but......

I have only had the pot for a few months and the carafe has lost its seal between the glass and the plastic top so it leaks really badly every time I pour either filling the pot or pouring a cup of coffee. They really need to figure out the problem with the carafe and offer replacements as this is a wonderful coffee maker.

    Cuisinart Gem

I purchased an older version of this coffee maker and had it it for 2 years before it had any issues. When it did, I contacted Cuisinart and they walked me through troubleshooting the issue. When it didn't fix it, they sent me a brand new younger model! I've been using this one for just under 3 years and it is AMAZING. Freshly ground coffee in the morning, made in the strength I prefer and done for me when scheduled is a small luxury! The taste is fantastic. It's easy to clean. It has had some leaky situations in the last year but I just learned to adjust the carafe to make sure the pause lever is not being triggered. I still highly recommend it especially since Cuisinart handled the service the way it did.

    Very poor product

Clock gains 6 minutes a day, every day. Exchanged for a new one, it does same thing. If you dont reset time everyday, by the end of the week coffee starts grinding 30 minutes early. Even with strength setting on low, it uses about 3 times the amout of coffee beans as we do when we used to grind independently with other coffee maker.

You never know what you’re going to get

We bought this coffee maker about 3 weeks ago. We bought this particular coffee maker because our old one had to many parts to maintain on a daily basis. And it quit working. I love the hopper on this one, it only has to be refilled about every 3 days so that part is super easy. However! The caraf leaks when you pour your coffee, the lids snapped into place but more coffee goes on the counter than in your cup. The grinder gets clogged up even though it’s cleaned every 3 days when the hopper is empty. The beans will grind but no coffee is actually made because it’s clogged. The spout is cleaned daily. Some days I wake up to super weak coffee and other days it’s like jet fuel even though the settings are never changed. For the first week we had amazing coffee, the perfect strength and a soultry flavor but it’s been all downhill from there. I’m thinking my beans may be to oily for this pot so I’m going to try a dry bean and go from there. If that doesn’t work, I’m returning it.

Cannot adjust grind setting, so all coffee is weak

$170 and you can't even adjust the coarseness of the grind! The default setting is too coarse, so even when I set the machine to "extra bold" and selected "10 cups" for the measly 6 cups of water that I put in, I still have to drink a cup of coffee that tastes like hot water. Planning to return ASAP.
