Full Pots and K-Cups Living Together in Harmony

We had been k-cup users for a long time and found that the selection of k-cups has become more limited and the cost has gotten more expensive. We also missed the flavor and process of the good old fashioned drip brew coffee along with the wide variety of ground or whole bean coffee available at a lower price. This machine allows us to have the best of both worlds and has worked well. The k-cup side heats the water insanely fast and is virtually silent compared to our older machine. The standard coffee pot side is pretty much what you would expect and adds the ability to select a bolder setting for stronger flavor which we appreciate. The only issues with this machine are the fact that condensation builds up on the drip side and manages to run down the back and make a puddle on the counter when we open the lid to take out the grounds and/or fill the water reservoir. The reservoir is also a bit tough to reach when filling it up with water. (The k-cup side is very convenient and has a removable tank that even has a small handle.)

I was excited to snag this coffee maker for half off around Black Friday, because I had been eyeballing it for a while! We love that it has easily removable, inexpensive filters. We also love that it comes with a reusable filter for both the pot and single serve sides. We like stronger coffee than k-cups provide and this machine makes it easy to make it how we like it! We are already saving so much on coffee and reducing trash! We like how we can make a programmed pot in the morning and my husband can make himself a cup before he studies in the evenings. I took a star away because I agree with other commenters that the single serve side spatters out the coffee a bit... kind of annoying because while they are small splatters they stain my counter (Formica) and I constantly have to clean that area. Still better coffee than my keurig, though!

    Overall Good Coffee Pot

This combo pot has saved us on counter space as we were able to eliminate the Keurig. The 12 cup brew comes out piping hot and remains hot while sitting in the carafe. We did learn however that when the brew button "flashes" it means it is actively brewing and by hitting the button a second time it stops the process. This isn't listed anywhere in the user guides and quite opposite if any other brewer we have owned. Normally you click the flashing the button! If using to replace a Keurig just keep in mind that the single serve takes longer to brew and the water doesn't maintain a steady stream - it comes out in spurts. I have a call into Cuisinart to verify if this is normal or not but my sister has the same machine and the same experience.

Miss that this coffee maker does not have 2 timer options - one for the week and one for days off. I was expecting this feature for the money I spend. One thing I do like is, that I can unplug quickly and my settings are saved for up to a minute. So I can relocate if I have a party. Practical to have the K-cup part but I should have bought two separate machines, it would have been cheaper and I could have gotten my old model machine again for less. It looks fancy though.... I recommend it for the looks... nothing special about it otherwise. It makes coffee and happens to have a K-cup maker too.

Had this for almost a year now. I am soooo happy I didn’t buy another keurig! I am only dropping it to 4 stars because it can be difficult to get water in for full size brewer. 2nd thing is I have had a little trouble with the round bottom style k-cups. They have more of a paper too to them. Once in awhile it doesn’t pierce far enough into the top to penetrate. No trouble at all with regular little plastic k-cups. Love the personal cup to add my own grounds in. Use single side 2-3 x a day. Would buy again. Some of the other reviews said single cup side splashed a bit. It does. No big deal though. Not a deal breaker:)

Coffee pot looks and works great. Only minor inconveniences are: 1. The pot lid does not hinge, so you have to remove the lid to fill it. 2. Pouring the water from the pot into the back of the coffee maker is tricky. The water reservoir lid is in the way, and the open space to pour is too small. Maybe move the filter to the other side of the reservoir? 3. The water reservoir for the single serve side is a bit small, but is very easy to remove and refill. Overall, we love the coffee maker and would buy it again. We love the additional counter space gained by removing our other single serve system.

I bought this for our cottage and the similar Cuisinart side-by-side for home. This one does the job well - but we like the Cuisinart much more - although the Cuisinart did cost nearly twice as much - the one clunky thing with this one is that you can only put the amount of water you need in the K-cup reservoir unlike others where you can just fill that reservoir - it will brew until the waters in gone so unfortunately in my first use I got about 20 oz of coffee in my 8 oz cup.

This model was recommended to me by a co-worker. I'm so glad I got this coffee maker. It makes a great cup of single serve coffee. And with the included insert I can use my Cafe Bustelo without the need to go or and buy K-cups The only thing that kept it from being a 5-star rating was the fact that the single serve side can be a bit messy when the coffee goes into the cup and small droplets of coffee end up on the countertop.

EVERYTHING about this coffee maker is superior. Cuisinart is a superior brand that puts a lot of thought into its appliance. This coffee maker is no different. It has enough additional tech to satisfy those who want it, but it is not too much to overwhelm those who just want to enjoy a cup of coffee. The biggest problem with this unit, and it is a big problem, is filling the reservoir, which is not logistically easy. This is a significant design flaw.

Love this coffee maker. Wanted a single serve as well as a full pot coffee maker and this met our needs. Coffee tastes great as well. Only complaint is that single serve does splatter a little, but nothing more than a few drops that need to be wiped away. Price was a little more than the average coffee maker, but we felt it was worth it. Recommend this to anyone who loves a basic cup of coffee that wants the flexibility of one cup or one pot at a time.

This Cuisinart 12-cup coffeemaker is constructed for the average coffee drinker who requires a well-built, beautiful, and user-friendly device. Unlike other brands that offer only one way of making coffee, this device offers the option to make coffee for large groups using the traditional method or one person using “K” cups. Anyone who enjoys a nice cup of coffee will certainly enjoy this device.

If you need a full pot or just a single serve K-Cup this machine does it all. I too would recommend putting K-Cup on left hand side and pot on right as it would be easier to pour water into reservoir for pot. I use a fairly tall mug for the K-Cup side so any splattering issue I've read about is non existent. I'd give it a five star rating but the test of time will determine that in the future.

Makes great coffee. Programmed brew does well. Have option of using Keurig style coffee pouches or the provided reusable pouch on the single brew side of the coffee maker. Only thing that's unusual is the red "clean" button is on constantly and despite doing the cleaning procedure multiple times, the light won't go out. Still brews great coffee though!

Well my wife and I had been looking for an all in one coffee maker, one that can make 12 cups and also make that one cup for the evening craving, a K-cup. We tried the Hamilton Beach but it was so Noisy so we returned it. Black Friday I began to search for a CUISINART and behold BB had the unit we wanted and for a great price.

Happy that this has a smaller footprint than our previous coffeemaker (which had an espresso maker and milk frother which we never used). So far this is working fine (day 3). Our only complaint is that the coffee carafe lid does not seem to flip open to fill. it has to be removed and it is not easy to get a grip on it.

Passed on our single serve Kureg and our Cuisinart coffee maker. Great having the extra space on the counter. Product works great, read some reviews about single serve water container leaking but we found if you just leave it in place and use a measuring cup to fill it, it will not leak.

This replaced our last Cuisinart. Love the pod option on the side. My only complaint keeping it from 5 Stars is the manner in which you have to fill the water. If using the coffee pot to pour the water in, the angle becomes very difficult, and you end up getting water down the back of the device.

Good maker. I actually read the manual. Never thought I would have to read a manual to make coffee. It does what you want it to do. The water bucket is very narrow but I guess that's to make sure that the maker doesn't take out much space in kitchen for a 2and1 maker.

We have always owened a Cuisinart coffee pot. No brand makes better coffee. Now we can get rid of the stand alone Keurig. The only slight issue is the water splashes more using the pod side since it has a longer drop it seems.

Single cups must be pressed in firmly or makes a soffe found mess all over counter,,,, otherwise I love convenience of having a pot and single serve combo. Love the strong setting on the pot and 3 sizes in the single.
