It did not cook. I tried the "home fries". I ended up with uncooked mashed potatoes.

First of all: this isn't a Thermomix and comparing it to one is pointless. For what this is: a powerful and advanced food processor with precise heating capabilities, the ability to steam, and 200 built in recipes, as well as a very intuitive manual mode, this thing is an absolute beast.
It performs as well as any of Cuisinart or Breville's excellent food processors, with the addition of new features, and enough guided cooking recipes to truly teach you all the ins and outs of the product.
Owned this 7 months, and still love it.
