After using it for a few days it was apparently not this toaster. The slots are so small you have trouble getting a piece of plain sandwich bread toast out. The lever that is supposed to push the toast up barely helps. Two different times it would not let me change the dark/light settings. I returned it.

On the highest level it barely toasted an english muffin so had to be put down on 1 again to get a reasonable toast. Tried several times to find a good setting but never could. I am returning it, if I can.
