This was my first food processor and I really wanted to buy a good one, so I did a lot of internet research. Money was not really an issue, but I still love a good deal. The Cuisinart Elite 12 cup was really a bargain compared to the 11 cup Cuisinart that I almost purchased. The thing that sold me right off the bat were the cutting blades. The slicing blade is adjustable and functions as multiple blades. Same with the shredding blade which is reversable. The 11 cup model was less expensive, but not when you started buying additional blades and discs. This unit is larger, more powerful, and better value than the smaller one. Another great feature is the way the lid seals with a rubber, spring-loaded gasket. The other one doesn't have it - just plastic on plastic. Also, this model has an inner bin that you can put inside the 12 cup bin if you want to process smaller amounts of food. If you are going to buy a storage box for the blades, there is one available for this model that holds all the blades and discs. Really awesome setup! This unit is heavy and powerful and quiet too. I wasn't sure I was going to like the silver color because I really wanted polished stainless, but this color is close and looks very high-end in my new kitchen. The included DVD and cookbook are nice too, especially for someone like me who is new to using a food processor. Additionally, Bestbuy.com matched the Amazon price and shipped fast and free, so I couldn't be happier with my purchase. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I've seen this food processor used by many professionals, so I decided to buy one for myself. I was not disappointed. It is extremely powerful and surprisingly quiet. It is heavy and the weight keeps it firmly grounded on the counter during operation, so it doesn't "walk" around and vibrate. The blades are extremely sharp, so care must be taken handling them. I bought this item on sale and they also price-matched it, so I got a really good deal.

I've had food processors for over 35 yearrs. Different brands, sizes and options. This is the most powerful processor I've ever had, and it exceeds EVERY one in every categorie: power, speed, blade options, feed tube size options and bowl size options. I cook every day, and many styles/ethnic options. Wish I'd had this MANY years ago. Well worth the price

I have had a Kitchen Aid food processor for over 10 years and it still works great but when I saw the special on this processor I couldn't pass it up. For power it wins hands down over my Kitchen Aid of the same size. I love the wider mouth for foods and having the dual smaller one is a great bonus. If I have any complaint it's that some of the ground up food accumulates under the rim of the top. It's easy enough to get out. but annoying to have to do so every time. With a small design tweak I'm sure this could be fixed and then I'd label it a fantastic processor

I bought this to replace a kitchenaid similar model I only bought a few months before. Its so much easier to use and clean! minimal number of parts, but does everything I need it to. I cook almost everyday, hence changing the one I had. This is a good reliable machine.

This is my first food processor that I've owned. I read many customer reviews on this one and a few others. This food processor lives up to the hype. It makes quick work of sliced veggies and cheeses. Easy cleaning the unit even after pureeing tomatoes! Thought it would stain and it didn't! Love the large bowl but really love how the medium and small bowls fit inside the large bowl. Much less hassle. It never gets taken off the counter. A must buy for novice and professionals alike.

I love this Cuisinart. It's well made. Solid. Very easy to put together and use. It comes with a brush to get all the food out of the narrow crevices. It was very easy to clean. It is stainless steel on the base and is pretty on the counter. I would highly recommend purchasing the storage unit for the blades and attachments.

I love the capacity of this processor. Incredibly quiet and fast. The only negative is that I tried to shred some carrots. The majority was shredded well; however, it couldn't shred all of my carrots. I don't know if the processor can only handle a certain quantity or what.

I read a lot of reviews prior to purchasing a new Food Processor. There were features I was looking for - one was multiple blade options and especially a dough blade. After watching a video review of different Food Processor's on a famous test kitchen show, I was sold on this unit. It is easy to clean - the variable top openings helps minimize any mess and aids in keeping long, skinny things update when slicing. I also like the additional items that can be purchased separately - like the blade storage unit and the DOUGH BLADE!

Great product, nice double bowl set up and the gasket makes using liquids super simple for cleanup. This model is super powerful and very fast. It looks great and the stainless steel body blends in perfectly with all of my appliances.

I bought this for my brother in law, and BB sent it to me instead. So...what did I do? I kept it and ordered him a new one! Our older Cuisinart was wearing down. Rather than buy new attachments, etc, we just kept this one. It is fast, sharp and powerful. Well worth the value.

All the reviews I read before purchasing this food processor turned out to be true. It does a great job - but when grating carrots large pieces remain on top of the blade. Nice snack - but. The gasket also traps bits of food, although I have been able to clean out so far by gently moving the gasket out a bit and rinsing with hard stream of water. So for all the years of "improvements" it still works like my old DLC7 from 1974. This purchase only happened because the old bowl cracked as well as the blade.

Easy to clean and super power for everything. Making dough is a simple task.

Our last Cuisinart Food Processor last almost 20 years and we used it quite often. Looking forward to this product also giving us many years of service. The small bowl in a larger bowl arrangement has been an excellent feature.

I purchased this food processor to replace my mini processor. The strong motor handles everything i need to chop. The bowl capacity is very large so no need to process in many batches anymore. I wish i purchased this sooner!
