Poor Quality Assurance and Design

I thought it would have been a stainless surface or even a protective one. Well first, it had to be assembled and before that i noticed the table top was marked and scratched. Upon further investigation, the marks and scratches are under the protective glaze/coat. This means someone saw this before it got finished through the manufacturing process. I'd rather have a stainless top with a coating than this weird gray color with dark marks and scratches. I am not impressed, but this is the closest table for what I need. Cuisinart needs to do better with QA on their products and need to keep it simple with colors...stainless with a protective coat would have looked better that this travesty and would've hid the nasty mess someone missed. I would have returned it if I didn't need it, but this is overpriced low quality...even on sale.
