I love that it takes up very little space on my counter and that I can choose from grind and brew or a single serve pod. The only minor complaint I have is that the largest amount you can brew is 12 oz. and I would prefer a 14 oz. cup so that it brews it to be a little weaker

This product is perfect for households with only 1 coffee drinker. You make one cup of coffee at a time, and the mesh filter obviates the need for paper filters. Plus, you could use either whole beans or K cups. The biggest problem is the excessive spillage of coffee grinds when you remove the capsule away from under the grinder, which is almost entirely because the preset amount of coffee beans to be ground each time is about 5% too much for the capsule. The solution I found is to watch the grinder closely and stop it early by hitting the “grind” button as soon as the capsule is full and before it’s over-filled. It’s the right product that meets my needs, I just wish they paid a bit more attention when designing it.

I've had several Cuisinart Grind 'n Brew coffee makers and really don't have anything bad to say about any of them. All of them were durable, had plenty of features and were relatively affordable compared to similar products. This one will make approximately 3 cups of coffee before the water tank and bean hopper needs to be refilled. My only two issues with it are that it does take a deliberate press of the buttons to get them to work - it typically won't respond to a quick press of any button. The other issue is that the 10 and 12 ounce coffee settings generate a rather weak, watery cup of coffee. So if you like robust flavor from your coffee don't bother with the 10 or 12 ounce settings. Otherwise, a fantastic coffee maker.

Easy to use, and makes delicious coffee. So much more convenient, with the built-in grinder and reusable filter, than using a stand-alone grinder and having to transfer the coffee grinds to a separate paper coffee filter in a stand-alone drip coffee maker.

Great coffeemaker, but it can be an inconvenience. I had a Keurig previously and it stopped working. So, I loved the idea of this Cusinart product. For time efficiency, I use the Kcups during the week while on weekends, I grind and brew my coffee. The clean up is constant especially while using the grind and brew option. Overall, the look is quite sleek and modern and the use is simple .

I purchased this because of its compact size with both brewing and the grinder combined. I used it once with no issue and then made the foolish decision to throw out receipt and packaging as it worked. Once.
The next morning I go to grind my coffee beans and nothing. I spent hours troubleshooting and cleaning to no avail. I ended up buying a cheap grinder. Which works, but filling up the small container manually for the grinds is a pain. So now I just buy k-cups. Which, I bought this to avoid it.
So yes. I have coffee. Yay. But 50% of the functionality is gone.

The grinder is not making coffee fine enough to be easily brewed and the container for the grinded coffee is too small. The taste and concentration of this coffee tastes like more like the one from a French press. I didn't use the capsules, and may be the coffee from capsules is better, but it's not my taste anyway.

Do not purchase if you like grounds in your coffee and lukewarm coffee.
While the concept of built in grinding is nice, that actual grounds pod needs to have micro mesh added to it. U fortunately the grounds pods allows a ton of grounds into the cup and nobody likes a last swig full of grounds.
The grounds pod also has to be seated just right, otherwise it causes a lot of overflow/mis-flow and is a mess to clean up due to half the coffee not making it into the cup.
The bigger issue is actually the temperature of the coffee. It is only lukewarm at best and requires additional heating in the microwave (15-30 seconds depending on the microwave).
If they fix these issues, then it would be worth purchasing.

Bought this for our office, and it's been a hit - easy to use and clean, makes a great single cup of coffee quickly, and allows us to enjoy great local coffee freshly ground.
