Works out of the box...first charge takes 24hrs

Yes, I read the directions first. Unboxed and plugged in with nothing attached for 24hrs. It gave of a strange smell the first few hours...guess that is the charging. The next day I connected my PC, Monitor, Cable Box, Telephone and turned everything on. I am only drawing 25% of what this box can take. Last power outage I could still use mu PC, still had WiFi and Telephone.

This works well and has a good price for a Sine Wave UPS. This handles the load I have easily and does not get warm.

My prior UPS failed even with a replacement battery; so I purchased this unit to replace. It has the pure sine wave output needed for my iMac with its power-factor correcting power supply. I really appreciate this unit being stocked at a nearby Best Buy!

Easy to set up, plenty of outlets to manage your entire desk set up, and with the exception of a few beeps when using your printer an almost silent security blanket.

This UPS is doing a fine job. Using it for my TV, Stereo, surveillance system and cable box. So far so good. My last one was a different brand (APC) and only lasted 5 years, purchased a new battery for it and it ruined the new batteries. So I am trying this brand, CYBERPOWER. Hopefully it will last at least 5 years and still keep working after I replace the battery. APC just didnt survive.

A Must Have for Home Office

I bought this because we have periodic power outages, some that last only a few seconds, that take down the home network. The home network is a challenge to bring back up, because we have a modem, two routers, and a VOIP phone system that need to brought back up in a particular sequence. We have just these four items plugged into this battery back-up system and now have much better network stability. Because these things have a low power draw, we estimate that we can run our network for over 90 minutes on this system. Life has gotten easier!

So I had my previous cyber power running for around 10 years before it died on me. Replaced it with this unit. With everything on, but idle, I have ~40min of run time. (Says 129 watts output) I use it for my QNAP TS-653 pro, 2 small netgear switches and orbi router, Xbox one x, hdhomerun, fiber modem and wall box. I have my firestick plugged into the USB port. Connected it to the QNAP and it recognized it right away.

Good Value. Worked Where a non-Sine UPS Did Not

I had an old UPS fail on me, so needed another. I had a different one protecting my NAS, and found that the NAS would shut down after a few minutes on battery power, though other things plugged into the UPS stayed up. I moved that UPS, a non-sine wave version, to a different role, and put this one in its place. When I shut down power to test, my NAS, modem and router all stayed up with no problem for over 15 minutes.

I bought this because my nas server draws lots of power and is sensitive to noisy power. This unit has plenty of juice, and keeps the sine wave power clean even in a power outage. Works with the Linux based ups module for auto shutdown without needing to install any drivers/software. Probably works just as well with Windows, but do your own research there.

Used APC my entire life, so I thought I would give this a try. Works great, and I like the front USB. My only gripe is that the power cord could be a foot longer and you should be able to rotate the plug.

    My Second CyberPower UPS

I bought this for my parents to replace a CyberPower 850PFCLCD I installed for them 8 years ago! I hope they get the same long term use of this one. I always get a sine wave UPS model, as I've read Macs are happier with that. This model is about the same height and width as the 850, but is several inches longer front-to-back depth. The USB charge ports on the front are a nice touch. One thing that seems different on this unit: I think it's more sensitive than the old one to switch to battery mode when my dad prints with his Brother HL2170W printer. It kicks right back out of battery mode in a few seconds. The printer is NOT plugged into the CyberPower unit directly, but in a different outlet on the same circuit. I know laser printers make the lights flicker and should not be plugged into a UPS.

It's crazy how this UPS came in handy only a few days after purchase. I had three outages in a row and the TV never turned off! the power came back within 10 min so not sure how much longer of a life this thing would have had, but it allowed me to properly shutdown the Xbox and TV until power came back! worth the money!
