Customers are saying

Customers admire the 1500VA Battery Back-Up System's long battery life, strong performance, and ease of use. Many appreciate its surge protection capabilities, reasonable price, and the informative display. While some found the unit heavy and noted occasional software challenges, the positive feedback on its functionality and features outweighs these minor drawbacks. The system's setup is also praised for being straightforward.

I have used cyberpower battery backups in my daily work, & they have always been very good. So, i decided to purchase one & yes i needed this large of a backup, because of having a high end desktop computer, while computer is under a load it puts this at 53% usage and that gives me about 10 mins of time on the battery which is what i am looking for, i have a generator connected to my house so for that brief 30 secs i have no power i wont harm my equipment and if i am using my computer all will go on like normal, also it having a large surge protection built in is also nice, highly suggest to anyone.

Great unit with battery backup capability. It's a lot smaller than I thought it was going to be so its a pleasant surprise that it doesn't take up a lot of space and I can have a lot of things plugged into it at once for battery backup and surge protection.

I looked for a long time to replace my old one of 12 years, they are only expected to last 3-5 years, but I never lost anything. NOW, this is even better: People can say things, but when you buy it--it did not work like is said in the review. Well, this one does a lot more! But if you buy it from Best Buy, get the extended warranty to make sure you're covered, I did. But I sent an email & got a 50 manual + something I heard, but wasn't sure of. So, go to this link & read it. This is very simple to set up & it works great. Plus, if you have an issue it will text you. NOT many others do that. Order the new PowerPanel Software & install it & on pg 34 of the manual, you can see how to set it up. This a great battery backup for the price.

There was a thunderstorm in my area the day I bought this UPS and the power started flickering just minutes after I finished setting it up. My computer and second monitor as well as a lamp all stayed on the whole time. The display on the unit is handy. I don't play on using the software that comes with it which can shut down your computer if it detects power loss. Overall, I like my purchase. Only wish it was a little cheaper.

Setup is simple, priced well and easy to understand. Battery backups are hard to test until they are tested by power outages and grayouts. It seem to be a solid device.

Bought to give me some solid battery backup during Hurricane Irma for my Cable Box, WiFi, TV & charging devices with the USB port - exceeded expectations - What I discovered is that my power is constantly fluctuating in my house and into my house - it comes on a the slightest variance in power and provides a stable consistent power feed to my most important electronics - my son has moved his gaming system over (PS4) because it protects against your game progression - especially games like Minecraft - the back of the unit provides two rows of plug ins - all are surge protected but only one row is backup protected - this allows you to separate your electronics so the critical systems are backed up - will buy another two of the smaller ones to put in my bedroom for my 2nd tv and my alarm clock - works better than advertised

Bought this unit to backup a WiFi hub, cable modem, and Sonos hub so that all Internet systems would continue to function during power outage. We have many remote control thermostats, door locks, sound system and Internet cameras for remote monitoring and it is important to have 24/7 up time. Unit is compact and offers good power reserve, and good display for monitoring status. Also a good value.

A must have UPS that has AVR

I like Cyberpower UPS backups They all have AVR included which is very important to keep the voltages more stable. I have a total of 4. Two I use for different computers in different areas, one for my router to keep it going and this one for my entertainment center mainly to keep stable voltage along with surge protection. My oldest one is 4 years old and has always protected my PC. I've had the power go out and it prevents that nasty sudden shut down or power glitch. If you don't have one you’re missing on protecting your electronics.

We would like to note that not all of our units feature AVR. We have a line of smaller stand-by UPS units as well. If there are any questions, please reach out to our support team at 877-297-6937 and we'd be happy to assist. Thank you for submitting your review! CyberPower

    UPS for desktop/cable modem/wireless router

Good value for the money. Cheaper than APC and does just as well. Can connect to your computer using USB to get statistics on it. Such as how long the charge will hold with the load it has on it, spikes, if it has gone into backup mode. If power goes out, I can still work or watch videos on my laptop. Also can run either net through it to regulate and protect cable modem and or wireless router.

I don't consider battery backups to be a glamorous item to have to review, but this one works flawlessly. I use it for my entertainment center and I don't even come close to maxing out the load that this unit handles and know that if the power goes out. The system has enough reserve power to verify that all of my game and entertainment systems are properly shut down before I lose total power.

Although I have not taken the time to dismantle and study the innards, from my use of two of these units over the past month or so I would not have a problem recommending it to my mom or a friend I would like to keep. The menu system can be a bit fiddly to use, since there is just the one button, but you really don't need to venture in there at all. It's pretty much as simple as could be. Plug things into it. You just need to decide whether or not each thing would be nice to have backed up with the battery. You can muddle about with settings if you like. It comes with a manual for that. I use one for the DVR and other audio/video bits in the lounge and another for the computer, modem, wifi, and RAID storage, which utilizes the USB status cable so it knows when to shut down if the power is out and the battery is getting too low to run things. So far, no problems. It would be nice if they were a bit cheaper, but cheap usually ultimately turns out to let you down.

I am glad I purchased Cyber power back-up system. We have frequent short power outages that last a few seconds. The computer would shut off and restart sometime two or three times in a row. This would stress my system and sometimes I would lose my work. Since getting this unit we have had a few of these outages and my system kept running. Easy to setup and works as I had hoped.
