I’ve had this CyberPower 1500VA for over a year now, and it continues to work flawlessly. Setup was simple, the LCD display makes it easy to monitor load and battery status, and the pure sine wave output gives me peace of mind that my PC and networking gear are well protected. It’s quiet, solidly built, and has never let me down during outages or power blips. A dependable backup system that’s proven itself long-term.

These are the starting point in my opinion for battery backups. At least for desktops, smaller servers and some network setups. The front display is convenient for load balancing with multiple units. Obviously these can be setup with your rig to auto-power down your more valuable assets when you reach a certain threshold. While I recommend these highly for homes, desks and some networking/server applications I wouldn't use this in lieu of a proper server battery backup for larger companies. These also have the added benefit of replaceable internal batteries which is much cheaper than replacing the whole unit, making it a better investment than some of the smaller options that seal everything up. If you are on the edge, just buy it. Yes it's expensive, but most likely it's cheaper than whatever you might have to replace.

We've got five of the predecessor model of this unit and two of this We own two of this updated version that now sports a color screen. (Hopefully this new screen will not lose illumination output after a few years like the FIVE of original version that, otherwise, are still going strong.) But screens are not why you buy this, it's because it does such a good job at helping to ensure the longevity of your electronics!
Since California has irregular blackouts and surges, this does FAR MORE than just smoothing voltage; TRUE SINE WAVE is critical for the long-life of power supplies that keep your computers, HDD and SSD's running. Ouch, it's more expensive than the other models that compete on price, but to my mind, the *entire* reason you buy this sort of thing is insurance...and what's the point of an insurance policy if it doesn't come through when you need it? So, suck it up and go for TRUE SINE WAVE!
Over the years we've replaced over a dozen Tripp and APC units (yes, I know batteries can be replaced on any of these); Cyberpower seems to have cracked the code of best bang-for-buck, and make units that just keep working.

This is a great UPS for a gaming PC. I recently purchased an Alienware desktop and needed a battery backup big enough to handle the power requirements of a gaming rig. I have a 27" monitor hooked up the UPC as well. The computer draws around 500+ Watts during extreme gaming. When you check the status of the UPC, it shows it has around 8 minutes, so this UPC is sufficient in safely powering down during a gaming session.
I've owned CyberPower UPCs in the past and currently have a smaller one for my other home computer and it's always done great. I live in TX so we have frequent storms and power outages and it's never failed.
What I like about this one is the display. It can be left on, but it has a ton of info. The display can be angled upwards for better viewing if you decide to have the UPS on the floor. I also like the number of outlets it has. It's always good to have more than not have enough. I can't think of any negatives on this unit, but it's definitely worth having this UPS as insurance. Don't trust a cheap surge protector for your gaming PC. If you're spending $$$ on a gaming PC, this UPS is going to save you in the long run.

CyberPower makes a great Battery Backup. Got this one to support our AV system. TV, AVR, 4K Player and Game System. Protects from spikes and brown outs. The display is nice and informative. Sine wave protects our AV investments.

My old unit (also purchased from BB), died after 6 years. Lasted a lot longer that i expected. Picked up this slightly more powerful unit and got it up and running in less than 10 minutes. I love the better display and ease of navigating the menus. Unit build is rock solid - does not feel cheap at all. Have a network switch and home theater components plugged in. Love the peace of mind. A great purchase and great customer service from Bestbuy.

I bought two of these, one for my iMac and the other for my PS5. They've worked perfectly when the power was knocked out due to a storm. I highly recommend them.
Actually, the Macs need a sine wave battery backup. So it's even more recommended there.

Works great and super easy to set up. We get a lot of power surges and this protects my computer. It also keeps the lights on when power goes out for a little while since I have my light plugged in as well as my computer and router/modem. So they are all safe and I can turn off my computer properly instead of instant loss if power goes out.

The CyberPower 1500VA Sine Wave Battery Back-Up System is an exceptional choice for anyone looking to safeguard their electronics and ensure uninterrupted power supply. With its impressive features and reliability, this unit stands out as a solid investment for both home and office use.
One of the most notable aspects of this battery back-up system is its sine wave output. Unlike many competitors, which offer modified sine wave output, the CyberPower unit provides pure sine wave power. This is crucial for sensitive electronics, such as computers and audio/video equipment, ensuring they operate smoothly without the risk of damage or interference.
With a capacity of 1500VA, this system offers ample power to support multiple devices during an outage. It features numerous outlets, allowing you to connect your essential equipment without hassle. The LCD display provides real-time information on battery status, load capacity, and estimated run time, making it easy to monitor your system’s performance at a glance.
Installation is straightforward, and the compact design ensures it fits neatly into any setup. The build quality is robust, giving you confidence that this unit will stand the test of time. Plus, the quiet operation means you won’t be distracted by unnecessary noise while you work or game.
Another key benefit is the included software, which allows for easy management of your power settings and can automatically save your work and shut down your computer in the event of an extended power outage. This feature is invaluable for those who rely on their systems for important tasks.
Overall, the CyberPower 1500VA Sine Wave Battery Back-Up System is a reliable and efficient solution for anyone looking to protect their electronics from power interruptions. Its sine wave output, ample capacity, and user-friendly features make it a standout choice in the market!

Great Battery Back Up to help during power outages

Got the CyberPower Battery Back Up after a power outage to my house and PC that created several problems. Although fairly big and heavy this unit definitely will preclude future problems during any power outages by providing power for a short time to allow shutting down my PC. Also, I like the several power plugs on the back of the unit which allows connecting lights and other devices --- which will help during short or longer power outages.

Very nice UPS, I never owned a cyberpower before, but I like this design and the review so I gave it a try. I wanted this unit to hook up my modem, router, tv, printer, and a few other things to protect my investment, so far there is no power outage so I can't tell, however it is showing the wattage with good accuracy. I love the unit is quiet and small, my work place us APC and they are little bigger than this. One thing I do notice is that there is this new plastic burn smell when you first take it out and use, but it goes away after a week or so.

Great product for my CPAP machine that needs backup for at least 8 hrs.
It's easy to set up, has the software online to download to a cpu, to shut it down safely.
If your equipment doesnt need battery backup, you have an option to just use the surge protection outlets. Just a push of a button guves you the electrical info needed to make decisons on proper setup, depending on how (clean) your electric is coming to your home, and if you know brownouts exist.

I recently got the CyberPower 1500VA Sine Wave Battery Back-Up System, and it’s been an absolute must-have here in Florida, where we get a ton of storms and frequent lightning. I use it primarily to protect my gaming PC, and it gives me complete peace of mind knowing that sudden power surges or outages won’t damage my system.
The setup was straightforward, and it provides clean, consistent power thanks to the pure sine wave output. It’s powerful enough to keep my PC and peripherals running through short outages, giving me time to safely save work or shut down properly. The unit itself feels solid and durable, with all the necessary protections built-in to safeguard against spikes, surges, and brownouts.
Overall, the CyberPower 1500VA UPS is essential for anyone who wants to protect valuable electronics, especially in storm-prone areas. For my gaming setup, it’s been invaluable — reliable, effective, and a small investment for complete peace of mind.

Works great. My homes power is unstable as it was built in the 50s. With this, my computer is overall faster and heats up less allowing overclocks with peace of mind. Bonus, I run my led strip off the battery backup, so if the power does go out, I still have light for 60+ minutes dependent on how fast i get my computer shut down. Gets the job done effectively for the price.

Protecting my stuff from a bad rural power grid

I have a desk with a cabinet for a desktop computer, but I have a gaming desktop, way too large for the cabinet. So when I got this backup system I put that in the cabinet. It barely fits because of the cords sticking out the back. Just a heads up if you are measuring a space, don't forget to account for everything being plugged in. The outlets are relatively inaccessible putting it into the cabinet, too. It's hard to get out since it weighs so much. Also, it does not run hot in the cabinet. The cabinet temperature is cool and the unit is cool to the touch.
For actual function, my power has gone out multiple times since using this. It was really something the first time it happened and I was on the computer. The whole house went dark except at my desk where everything was still going strong.
Why did I get this? My house has previously sustained multiple power surges, and items have been fried. I now have a whole house surge protector and a surge protector on my internet line (that also got hit before and fried my modem and router). It seems the power grid where I live is vulnerable and there are not only those bad surges, but fluctuations. This will help with the fluctuations. I don't know how long it will last since it is always keeping the battery topped off, but supposedly you can change out the battery cell.
