Nice Option if you have Power Drops

I bought this for my iMac and Wifi router. My neighborhood has power outages for a few minutes almost weekly, and as frustrating as that is from losing unsaved work and rebooting time, I am fortunate this hasn't caused damage to my equipment. I feel much more calm having this battery in place; we've had several power drops in the weeks since I purchased this and I've had no downtime as a result. It's quiet, compact, and worth the cost. This model doesn't have the USB port that my computer can use to monitor uptime, and I regret that I didn't purchase a model that has that.

**Title:** Excellent, simple peace of mind!
**Review:**
I got this to keep my modem and router running during the frequent power flickers we get during thunderstorms, and it's been fantastic. Setup was incredibly easy; I had it unboxed and protecting my equipment in less than five minutes. It's compact and sits right behind my desk without being noticeable. We had a brief outage last week, and it kicked in instantly, keeping my internet connection alive without a single hiccup. For such a reasonable price, the security and stability it offers are a no-brainer. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to protect their electronics and stay online.

3 Hours of Back-Up Power!

After one month of use, this device is doing everything I need it to and is proving to be just as high-quality as my previous (and slightly more expensive) APC brand battery back-up device that had died after several years of use. I bought this device for both the surge protection (I live in an area with unsteady current that tends to fry electronics and appliances without using high-quality surge protectors) and for the battery backup (we also have power outages due to hurricanes and fairly short but regular power outages in general). For such a compact unit (4" x 8"), I'm impressed that it has 8 outlets (4 are surge protection only, and 4 are surge protection and battery back-up). After fully charging it, I unplugged it to test how long the battery could last, and it actually charged 3 devices (2 iPhones and an iPad) - one hour each consecutively (not simultaneously) - for over 3 hours of use total! I'm guessing it wouldn't last as long if you're running/charger larger devices/appliances, running/charging multiple devices simultaneously, etc., but I just wanted to get an idea of its capabilities. As it lists in the manual, if you don't want to hear the constant beeping when your power goes out and the battery backup system is engaged, simply press the power button twice (quickly) to disable the alarm. Fantastic price, size, and quality! Will probably order a couple more, so that I can use in different locations in my home to ensure my electronics are protected and to have the peace of mind that I'll have great back-up power when the power goes out.

This is reasonably compact for a UPS, and has enough outlets and battery to support a desktop + 2 large monitors + misc accessories in case of power surge. Reliable so far, but only had it slightly over a month. Will update with any issues.

this cyberpower 450 va battery back-up is a small but mighty addition to my setup. it’s sleek, takes up minimal space, and gives me eight well-spaced outlets—perfect for connecting my desktop, router, and a few peripherals without blocking anything else.
i’ve found it incredibly reassuring during brief outages. it provides about 90 seconds of full-load backup or around six minutes at half load—just enough for me to save my work and power down safely, or keep my internet running during quick drops.
setup was effortless. it’s plug-and-play, easy to position thanks to the long 5-ft cord, and the diagnostic leds let me know it’s working just fine.
it’s also energy efficient and certified by energy star, so it barely bumps my power usage when idle. on top of that, it protects against surges, brownouts, and lightning spikes, giving me solid peace of mind for my home office electronics.
overall, this ups strikes a great balance between price, size, and performance. whether you just want minimal protection or fast shutdown capability, this one delivers exactly what you need.

This is a great product. Compact, small. Good enough to keep my network hub, modem and nas working when energy goes off. This is the second I buy. Its features are all I need. And beyond the battery-backed up outlets it also has surge protected outlets. I just don't give 5 stars because the battery replacement is a little complicated. The battery of my first one laster +2.5 years - For me, it was worth.

I use this to keep my network router and Alexa running during power outages. I like that the outlets are split into 2 sections. One section is not part of the battery backup but does provide surge protection. I plug in devices in that section that I do not wish to have loading down the battery.

I had long wanted battery backup for our internet so that my wife could continue an online (e.g. Zoom) meeting during a power failure without interruption and end it gracefully. I could not figure out from the info available online just how long the backup would last given the volt/amp rating of the system ( I saw estimates ranging from a few minutes to a few hours). So when this unit when on sale I bought it mainly for calibration purposes, to see how many minutes of backup a 450VA system would give me. Since our laptop batteries last nearly 2 hours, we only needed backup for the cable modem and router. The total wattage of those units was about 22.5 watts, and this system powered them for an hour and ten minutes. The box the unit came in also has a useful table on the outside, showing how long the power would last given the power consumption of what is being backed up. I could not find that info online, either in the tech specs or the summary product description on the Best Buy website. As the wattage of the devices being backed up increases, the length of time that that the backup power lasts goes down sharply. No wonder that the online estimates ranged from a few minutes to a few hours.
