Better size than my old one, and weighs less. Better price too. Gives me time to save my work on my PC if the power goes down, especially during the summer brown and black outs. Even got one for my dad.

I bought this battery backup to provide protection for both my work computer and my home computer and monitor. All are hooked into the one unit. The plugs are spaced out nicely so you can plug 8 different pieces of equipment into the one unit.
While all 8 outlets provide surge protection, only 4 of the outlets also provide battery backup time. The row of plugs are clearly marked on which ones provide the battery backup.
I'm happy with the way the system is working!

Replaced old unit that I could not get to work, even with new battery. This CyberPower unit was easy to install and seems to be working well. Have had several power dips and backup handled them, items plugged in did not turn off. Appears to be a good unit for my computer, router, modem, and external hard drive, which are all connected.

Purchased this exact same unit in February of 2018. Obviously, it “says something” that I am purchasing the same model following the battery failure of the first.
Was a little surprised that attempting to purchase a replacement battery was NOT an option. It was not clear to me whether I now have that option subsequent to making this purchase. Regardless, I’ve pretty well decided that I wouldn’t go that route even if it were an option. These days, the best deals can routinely be found in conjunction with NEW purchases.
Even in the five years I’ve owned the now-failed unit, we haven’t experienced that many power outages — and, when we did, the unit performed precisely as advertised.
I have kept the failed unit. While the battery-backed up receptacles no longer function, the other four “protected” receptacles still work perfectly.
Bottom line: When I purchased the unit in 2018, the price was $65.99. It has increased in price to $79.99…but, Best Buy matched a competitor’s price making it $59.99! [Over the years, I have always been extremely pleased with Best Buy honoring its price matching policy.]
This was the best price for a battery backup of this size and functionality.

I have purchased Cyberpower a number of times for both my wife and myself over the years. We use it for everyday computing to allow us to power down our computers and to finish and save our task at hand. You have 4 outlets for battery backup and 4 for surge protection only. As far as I am concerned it is an essential part needed for your computers. You will be glad that you had one the first time your power just shuts down and you lose all the information you were working with before you saved it.

I last bought a battery back up about 5-7 years ago. I didn't realize how much they had improved with regard to size, price and length of battery power.

Great product at a great price! I have been needing a battery backup surge protector for some time and this one was just the right size. We have our cable modem and router plugged into it. That way if power goes out we at least still have the internet, since our internet is through the cable company. The only thing to note is that only one side is battery backup, but both sides offer surge protection.

It’s a really solid PSU, I’d recommend for 3d printing, editing or long draw computer times. But not at the same time… long story short I overestimated the ability of the PSU, along as your not trying to power a nearby city with it (like me) it’s a great PSU

We buy these constantly as our office location is remote and we have a lot of power "anomalies". I've had the best longevity with Cyberpower products and typically prefer them over other brands. On average we get about 2.5 years of life from them and when they finally do fail I send the batteries off to a recycler. Overall they are good reliable products and will protect your computer from most power anomalies.

Purchased for small home office and works extremely well. Set up is extremely easy and immediately starts to work as soon as the battery is fully charged. I’ve had a few of these over the years specifically this brand and they’ve generally lasted way longer than I thought they would considering Florida has so many lightning strikes. Excellent product!
Used in non air conditioned garage in Florida 5's.

I use this battery backup on my cameras and dvr for home security, it keeps the cameras and dvr online along with my wireless router and modem so even if the power goes out I can monitor my 8 cameras from my mobile device and also know a recording is still taking place. The unit is located in a non air conditioned garage in Florida where temps get into the feels like of 120 degrees and the product works amazing.

Anyone who has a computer needs a battery backup system. It protects against power surges which can ruin a computer, plus gives some additional operating time if the power goes out. All our computers are on backup systems. I recommend a battery backup rather than just a surge protector, because if you're in the middle of working on something when the power fails, you won't lose your work, as the battery kicks in, and gives you operating time. CyberPwer makes great back up systems - we've used them for years.
