I have several Cyberpower battery backup units in use and they have always done a fine job. On average the battery lasts about 2 years but I have figured out how to open these units and replace the battery myself. I would recommend the the 650VA unit over the cheaper 425/450VA unit because that one does not last very long on battery. The software that goes with the unit can be downloaded for free from the Cyberpower website.

Great for battery backup of computer system. Have used several over the years. Battery life is good but you have to replace after 3-4 years. Best option is to buy a new one when battery dies. Not much difference in price plus you get a new warranty when purchasing new unit.

It seems to do the job well although this isn't the season that will test its usefulness. We'll need to wait for Monsoon to really test it. It is black which renders it fairly invisible which leads to stubbed toes since it is kept on the floor.. But all in all, it's better than what I had because it offers such a longer time to get everything turned off when it's necessary.

I bought this to keep my router and modem up when we have short power outages, and we have a lot. It works perfectly for that. I would certainly recommend this for this sort of application. If I wanted a ups for my computer however, I would likely buy something bigger.

We've installed several of these at my workplace and they've always done their job in providing battery power during a power outage and, just recently, taking a 'bullet' during an outage/surge so that my computer was protected (which is why I bought this new one to replace it).

I say basic, because it's definitely designed for small electrical loads, targeted at home or office users. But it still does it's job. I got it to replace an older and slightly smaller-load capable APC device, and I'm sure I'll get as many years out of this UPS as I got out of the other CyberMax UPS I still have after ten years (third battery).

When we have those rough electrical storms and the power goes out, surge protectors are a good thing to have. The battery back protectors go a step further; if you are working on something and want to save your work and shut down your comp or laptop, you can do so with these. During the really bad storms, if the battery backup side (has 3 outlets) sustains damage, the other 3 outlets continue to provide great surge protection. I purchase another unit to have the battery backup convenience and use the partly damaged unit for other electronics I want to protect.

I had been plagued by brownouts in my neighborhood for the past few years. Whenever I had a brownout my TV would reset and burned in the logo. Since purchasing the cyber power battery back up those problems are long gone. And the new TV looks great.

simple to install, easy to use, dependable power at a fair price

I bought this to backup my camera system in a power outage. So far the power went out briefly a few times and the system didn't go down because of it. Currently doing what I expected. I wish the center plus were a little more spaced out. But I just need a second one in reality.

This product is good and especially useful if you can loose electric power during bad weather (like storm). The power outages happened in my area very frequently, so it makes sense to have a back-up battery that would last for several years like this.

It have been 3 moth using this UPS, but I didn't use it so far. No power outages ... This product have good reviews, good features for UPSs in the market. I use it for my PC, monitor, sound system and other minors equipment. Ultra recommended!

We purchased the battery back up for our internet modem and our camera security system. So far it has performed excellent. We live in a very unpopulated area where we loose power quite frequently. The battery back is just what we needed.

Nothing much to say about a low priced battery backup unit.. it works, it keeps my home NAS, dsl, WiFi, and night owl all up when the power goes out.. I'm sure it would be great for a desktop pc use. Don't know how long it keep stuff up, but long enough to shut everything down nicely if needed.

This is a replacement for an old unit of a different manufacturer. It is lighter, more efficient, and has more features than the old one. Best Buy offered it at a sale price. It was easy to set up, and has performed flawlessly.

I plug my computer and other related stuff that I own (e.g., not the Time Warner modem) in this UPS. It works great and keeps track of even small disruptions in power. It wasn't too expensive and fits out of sight under my desk.

I use a pair of these to backup a bedroom TV and TiVO box and part of my HT system in the living room. (I have a larger UPS for the rest of the HT setup and cable equipment.) We've had 3 thunderstorms that 'blipped' power for 1-2 minutes and everything stayed up and 100% functional. Before, it would be 5-10 minutes for everything to reboot and recover. Do note there are outlets that are on the battery and some that are just outlets; make sure you know which. They are clearly labeled.

Old back-up power supply by same manufacturer died after about 15 years of service. New one is much lighter in weight, was reasonably priced and is working perfectly. I am very satisfied with it.

Unit was ready to go, no prep. Thought it was a good value for the price. Went to store to get a unit after my existing one went bad ahead of a storm. Foolish not to protect equipment in Florida

I like the size of this UPS for my home equipment. I was able to plug in my PC, Router, external HD, WAP, and a lamp. It has spaces by the plugs which is helpful for those large bulky plugs. It was very easy to setup and get it working. Glad to have my equipment protected from minor power outages!
