Posted .Hello, this unit outputs a stepped or simulated sinewave output by inverting the car's DC power in to AC for use with other electronics. Certain electronics like a laptop charger work by inverting AC power in to DC power and as such require a pure sinewave output like what you would get in your home in order to work effectively. As a result a device like this may not be appropriate for charging your laptop. It is recommended to purchase a dedicated laptop charger that will just handle the DC to DC power needed for your laptop rather than this inefficient DC to AC To DC conversion that results from using this device.

Posted .Hello, it is likely that an appliance such as an electric griddle simply is too great a load for this inverter or even the amount of power that would be supplied by your vehicles battery to be able to support. As for you phone, most phone inverters are expecting pure sinewave power, this Inverter outputs simulated sinewave power to bring your cars 12V to 120V AC used by most electronics and your phone charger may not be able to operate as efficiently as a result. The conversion from DC to AC back to DC again is also highly inefficient, for you phone it is recommended getting a dedicated car adapter that is able to convert your vehicles DC directly to the correct voltage of DC used by your phone.

Posted .Hello! Depending on the model of adapter you have or any laptop charger for that matter, you may face compatibility issues with this inverter. The power supplied by this inverter is a simulated sinewave output, because laptop inverters operate by converting AC power back to DC they are expecting a clean pure sinewave power source. Inverters, like your laptop charger, need to work harder and pull more power than what they were originally rated for when it is a simulated sinewave source. Because of this highly inefficient DC > AC > DC conversion, we recommend you purchase a laptop charger that is specifically meant for a car's DC outlets. If you have not done so already too Check with Apple regarding the warranty of your charger itself.

Waste of money

Very disappointing, does not work and a waste

It would constantly turn off and then on, and off and on again. I had to return it within 2 hours because it was just frustrating at this point. Don't waste your time or money on this. It honestly felt like an item one would get from the 'wish' app.

(Obviously don't block the ventilation.)

Posted .Hello Kimberly, laptop chargers can be rather tricky with these power inverters as they output a simulated sinewave output, because laptop chargers are inverters themselves inverting AC power to DC they are expecting a pure sinewave power input, as a result they need to pull significantly more power through the inverter than what you may expect and may not function due to the inefficiency of the DC > AC > DC conversions. For laptop chargers in particular, it is recommended that you purchase the car DC adapter specifically intended for your model of laptop.
