Customers are saying

Customers value the Gamer Xtreme Desktop's impressive performance and its excellent price point, frequently praising its ease of setup and the quality of its graphics card. However, some users reported needing to replace the CPU cooler, and a few noted concerns about the fan configuration. Many users found the initial setup straightforward. The overall experience is positive for most, but some hardware adjustments may be necessary.

My PC worked perfectly out of the box and the RGB lights on the fans are gorgeous! The computer was securely packaged and there were no loose connections or broken parts.

Good for the price, struggles with quality control

Good price for the parts but the quality control is lacking. Once I got the PC home I would throttle and crash in any game that I played within 5 minutes. I contacted tech support and they helped me identify the issue was my CPU cooler (I was running over 100C at the loading screen for Battlefield 2042). He suggested I either reapply the thermal paste which might help the issue, or upgrade the cooler. I ended up getting an AIO cooler to ensure I didn't have problems, but upon installation I noticed the thermal paste they applied was lacking and a mess. With the current GPU market, I would still suggest this PC as an alternative way to get your hands on a graphics card, but I really wish their customer support or QC was better. After spending this much on a PC, I don't want to be doing any upgrades or fixing someone else's work.

I thought the PC was overall decent. I really liked how the build looked. I thought it looked nice with the LED lights. However, when I got it, it kept crashing for games like Warzone. (Which is a game I play often). So, I had to buy a modification for CPU fan, and I had to turn some fans around

I purchased this computer from Best Buy during the Black Friday sales, it was not a deep discount but that was to be expected given the supply issues. It's by far the nicest looking and smoothest running mid-grade gaming PC I've ever owned. I've been using it for a few weeks with no issues so far.

Best price for components. Well built. Delivered quickly and packed nicely. Only complaint was cpu cooler was completely underpowered. Plan on upgrading before putting any sort of load on it.

I want to like this PC, and I hope the issues I have are resolvable and not permanent. The Bad: As soon as I unboxed the PC, it could not connect to my WiFi network. From the same location in my home, mobile devices, a Dell laptop, and a MacBook Air have no trouble connecting to the WiFi and have a great connection to boot. When I told Best Buy about this problem, they fully took the computer off my hands and sent me another, saying it was a defective product. Now, on my second iteration of this PC, the WiFi connects, but barely. The connection strength is still weak (it shows only 1 'bar' of connection whereas other devices have full or nearly full connections). However, this is manageable because I can get on an ethernet connection if I want to. However, this second seemingly identical PC now crashes while playing games seemingly at random. I am running Doom Eternal and Dishonored 2 through Steam with up to date OS and up to date Nvidia graphics drivers and still crashes will happen after playing for more than four minutes. The crashes seem random and nothing I've tried has been able to resolve them yet. This is all in spite of stellar performance which makes it all the stranger. Doom Eternal runs at around 144 FPS while on the highest graphics settings (though I turned ray tracing off to be safe) and still it will randomly crash while I am sitting in the hub world after finishing the first level. The Good: Best Buy support has been 10 out of 10 throughout this experience at time of writing. The problems are not with them but with the computer itself. Whether chatting with agents through the online support or going to my local store to get help, they have been very helpful and understanding. I will be contacting them ASAP about this issue to see what they recommend. Again, I hope this latest crash issue is something that can be resolved and not something that requires another return. While this gaming PC looks great on the surface, it so far struggles to connect to WiFi and even run games when not on the Internet, two things I need a gaming PC to do. My review will remain at 2 stars for now, but hopefully that will improve after contacting support.

Motherboard arrived dead on arrival. Best Buy was great and did an exchange with no hassle. 2nd PC worked out of the box, but I replaced the CPU cooler as per the other reviews. Temps stay around 65 degrees with demanding games. Overall a good PC if not for all the trouble in the beginning.

Frustating love and hate with this build. When I bought the first one it had a display card issue fresh out the box it was fried. Decided to give it another chance . The CPU cooler is CHEAP, couldn’t run a game for more than 10 minutes without the CPU overheating had to swap that out which was an absolute pain. Also if you’re going to be downloading things be prepared to add an SSD down the road. There are pros obviously the 3060TI ,case is solid and has space RAM is solid. More of a semi built than a prebuilt.

Really good system. It is a very powerful computer and is very good at gaming. I get 120 fps on Extreme settings on Forza Horizon 5. Any game I play on the PC can handle very well. GPU Temperatures in stay below 79c on 100 percent utilization as well. ( I have the MSI 3060 ti version). Overall Great System.
