They work as advertised, with or without the Cync app. I'm using these with Google Home. There's a bit of a rub, though. If you don't use the Cync app you won't get firmware updates. You can hook them up to Cync to update them then remove them from Cync and set them up with Google Home, but if a new update comes along you won't receive it unless you hook them up to Cync again. I'd prefer to not have that additional potential point of failure and keep the Cync app out of my ecosystem, but it is what it is. Other than that my only complaint is that it can be rather inconvenient to factory reset them (as has been necessary to unlink them then hook to another system). It has to be in a socket with an on/off-only power switch, then flip the switch in the required timing. I'd MUCH prefer a pinhole reset I can press with a paperclip or something so I don't have to move each bulb to another fixture and reset them one at a time. I considered Kasa products but they don't offer any security. If your password for Kasa is compromised so is your home, but Cync has 2FA, so I stayed with Cync.

I like the quality compared to some other brands. Easy to set up and the app is pretty basic. It has some connection issues once in a while.

I find these to be a better buy than Phillips Hue lights. These don’t require a hub or even multiple hubs. They connect seamlessly connect with Google Home devices. The color representation is also great. Personally they are a strong recommend from me. All the bulbs in my house are GE full color bulbs. I dont ever touch a light switch anymore.

Works great and was easy to add to my existing Cync devices list for my home. No connectivity issues that I've had with other brands, and very easy to change color temperature and general colors. I love this for my office, makes it easy to set atmospheric lighting for my games and other media.

I love these lights, pairs easily with Google, multiple brightness and color ootions.

These bulbs are super cool! You can set routines for changing colors, tints, brightness levels. You have light shows for events and parties. All of it is controlled from your phone. Can sync the whole house if you want.

Little on the pricy side but it works well with google. Got one bulb for myself and one bulb for my mother. She's a little older but the c by ge software is relatively easy to use in terms of switching lighting. She would not be able to set it up by herself. It's easy for her to switch from bright white to soft white lighting for her reading use though.

I am completely satisfied with these bulbs. So many colors to choose from and set up was an absolute breeze. I highly recommend them!

My son got this for his room and really loves it. it screws in to any standard lamp or light fixture. the light can literally produce millions of colors for any mood. Best of all, with the phone app you truly make this smart bulb come alive. You and program it for different settings and colors for different times of day. you can even control it when you are not a home. Set it for the time you want it to come on and off...no more clapping! what a great product!

I think these are really neat and they were on sale for nearly half price. The app that you use with these is however very unexceptional almost useless. They are very cool when hooked up to Alexa though. I have not yet compared them to other bulbs but imho they could be a tad bit brighter other then that they are very cool.

These are by far my favorite light brand to use for full spectrum led functionality. The setup for these is pretty simple & each one I add on is even simpler after using the app. I have the bulbs set up within a master bedroom into the master bathroom. Having migraines, I can always adjust the lights really fast for tailoring the lighting to fit my needs. I plan to use these throughout my entire home anywhere I can put one.

These light bulbs are easy to set up to my Google Home app. The color changing and dimming options are wonderful.

Does exactly what I want it to do. It was a bit annoying to connect but once I did, it syncs perfectly with my Google Home

This light bulbs are easy to connect to the app but also keep on disconnecting to the internet often. In comparison with Phillips hue, this brand needs som re improvements in the app and their connection system. Great for the price if you have patience with the app.

Good bulbs held back by an absolutely atrocious app and firmware. This app truly sucks. And I can’t express that enough. If you can connect these to another app and use them that way please do, because the built in app is god awful. Trust me.
