Well, they are a very good smart light, the thing is I'm a white light person means it's either white or white but seeing that yellow in my bed makes me going back to the 2000. Anyway for a smart light they are perfect, they are easy to connect and the light is super good. I would definitely recommend to a friend who like yellow light in his bedroom, but me I want to have a bright white light in my whole place. Honesty they are supper nice if you get them in a special BestBuy Deal like I did.

I bought them as they were on discount and figured why not. Since these are the first pair of smart lightbulbs I’ve had, I must say I am very impressed. Set up is extremely easy as it would be with any lightbulb. Synchronizing the lightbulbs with the app didn’t take more than 3 minutes. The app itself is very user-friendly and allows the user to dim the lights if needed, which I thought was a cool feature.
Additionally, you can turn on and off the lights even when you are at a considerable distance. The lightbulbs work well for me as I tend to read from my bed at night, and I no longer have to get up to turn my lights off when I decide to call it a day. Connectivity issues come here and then when the app does not connect with the lightbulbs, but such problems are not common. It certainly won’t stop me from purchasing more of these smart lightbulbs in the future.

These smart LED light bulbs are great to have if you want to program the lights inside your home if you are away. They are really easy to use, and the app that you have to download to program them is simple enough for anyone to navigate. What I like about these is the fact that they are bright enough, but not to the point where you are blinded by them. Of course you can also dim them to create a special kind of lighting. The price is also really good for the set of these four light bulbs.

I have mixed feelings with these lightbulbs. They are great because you can dim the light, and pretty bright whit the max setting... but, they keep disconnecting from the app. Also, they need an extra hub to connect with Alexa, so you have to use your phone or ipad or such to turn them on. Easier to just get to the lamp and turn them.
Mixed emotions. Probably I like the plugs better.

connecting the bulbs to the network was easy and the brightness is up to my expectation. The reason why I am deducting a star is the occasional disconnection. Not sure if the connection issue is with the GE App or with the pairing issue with Alexa, I intermittently experience connection issues where the bulbs do not respond to my voice command through Alexa. That does not happen too often so I am giving a four-star review for this product.

CbyGE Direct Connect Bulb slight response lag

Easy set up via CbyGE app (iOS) but required doing it two to three times as process failed to complete a couple of times for each bulb. I am very familiar and experienced with CbyGE detection protocol as I have over 40 of the hardwired dimmers in my home and 5 of the plugs. Once the bulbs were recognized, it was an easy matter to get them recognized by Alexa. Response of bulbs is virtually instantaneous when using the CbyGE App (although I rarely use it as it is very clunky and the whole purpose in my case was integration with Alexa voice control...I only use the CbyGE App to enroll my devices then to test whether any lag is due to GE or Hubitat or Alexa). When controlling via Alexa voice control or Hubitat HE automation, I am experiencing about a 3 second lag between command and execution (turning light on or off). I am using the bulb as a pantry light triggered by opening or closing of the pantry door. Other than the slight lag, bulb seems to work fine. I thought price was good (paid $19.99 for 4 bulbs, ordered last night and picked up via curbside delivery this morning). When I looked up the item again (the same day of pickup), I see the price is now $14.99! An even better deal, although it does not help me at all. Oh well!

I'm obsessed with using wifi bulbs now. It seems like a lot to purchase a light bulb (I only purchase the ones on sale), but they are so convenient and fun to arrange the lighting just how you want it. The reason I gave it only four stars is because this particular product's app is testy. I always shows the devices not connected, even when they are, so I'm constantly using the reload(?) feature or pulling the screen down to reload the screen to reset it. That usually works and then it shows my active devices. I also have a Sengled brand light bulb (it was free with a different purchase). That app and programming functionality are great and user friendly! I actually recommend that brand over C by GE. Nevertheless, most of my bulbs are C by GE and their app gives you the option to allow others to control the lighting as well.

Easy to set up, syncs well with the google home app/assistant. Not as bright as you'd think but sufficiently bright. Dimmable. I set up 2 in my living room and am not able to adjust the brightness or turn on/off separately, but that's a design flaw with how they are managed by google home app/assistant, not the lights themselves. Good, affordable (when on sale) smart bulbs that don't require a hub.

They work - mostly. Sometimes. When they work the light is a nice quality.
Connection/setup can be fidgety - I've got two that keep being found by the "C for GE" app or the Google Home app but don't manage to connect usefully, and two that connected fine.
Google Home loses them about 25% of the time replying "that device is not set up" or "something went wrong" even as the command takes effect! (I have multiple Minis which can hear me at once, maybe that's related?)
Since they go into standard light sockets, they're gonna be behind a switch ... and you're till gonna reflexively hit that switch (or do it intentionally, because you don't want to be talking to Google and wake up people). And you'll notice the switch is just plain *faster* - flick, it's off/on, versus talking and then Google replying, and then the change taking effect (or not, often we have to give the command twice)
So, overall, they're occasionally a minor convenience and more often a moderate inconvenience. I would use them in something like a hallway or a basement where the switch is a long way from where you enter the space.

These have been my favorite bulbs to connect with Google Home so far. Super simple to set up, but had trouble with one bulb. After set up, moved it and it stopped working. Had to reset it and boy was that a process. Not a fan...after trying it a few times (which takes a long time) it finally reconnected. Not sure why not the first time. Would just take it back and swop it if it happens again.

Great lights. Have had to “reset” them twice. But as a beginner smart home home user they are great lights. I will be adding the switches this week, hopefully the home will be fully automated by end of year. App is easy to use. Connects seamlessly to Alexa. Can brighten and dim with just a simple command. Hopefully they will add a line with the smaller bases soon!

Fairly easy to install and set up. Work very well. Integrates with Google home flawlessly. Lifespan to be determined. I have been using them for over a year and plan to purchase more for other lighting in the home. Love the ability to dim, turn on, turn off and control with voice controls. Walk into the room with your hands full and you can have your voice assistant turn them on.

Lights are bright and work well on our network. Setup was a bit odd and if you want to use with Google Assistant you have to jump through some hoops. It does work with Google Assistant well. App is not very sophisticated, but allows you to create names for your light bulbs and place them in rooms you create. You can set them on a schedule to time on and off.

Works really well with Google home system. Set up is easy and I haven't had any issues with connectivity or anything else. Regular price is a little expensive compared to standard LED bulbs but found these on sale for $14.99 for 2 which is a great price. I've been using these types of bulbs for about 6 months and they make life easier. Also turn any lamp or light into a dimmable light (1-100% adjustable with voice or through the Google Home app). Even have two on my porch and set up a routine that turns them on at sunset and off at sunrise. What home automation should be.

The Cync Smart Bulbs by GE are awesome! I have then setup in my kitchen, living room and all my bedrooms. I just walk into the room and tell Alexa to turn on those lights and they are on! The Cync app works with Alexa without any issues at all! Definitely work the upgrade/investment! And It adjust the bulb intensity with Alexa or in the app.
