    5 to 10 attempts to connect to WiFi failed. Contacted DlInk customer support and all of their suggestions failed to get the device to connect to Wifi. Very disappointed in DLink. Will not be buying from them again.

    I'm sorry for the 3 stars, I didn't know what to rate this since I haven't been able to pair it with my wifi. We called customer service, they believe our business wifi is too strong to connect. : @@@@@@@@

    No problems here. read about some issues in other reviews, but I think those issues were due to poor WI-fi reception. The controls via the app are a little clunky/slow, but you can set 5 predetermined spots to monitor via hot keys which is great for my use.

    Did not set up at all. Wasn't able to get to connect to WiFi or even get it to connect to Ethernet right they need to impove the set up process. Will not buy another d link product.

    Good for the price. setup was fairly easy. The app on the other hand needs some work. Not user friendly and not intuitive. app does favor WiFi over cellular. cellular crawls and WiFi has a few second delay.

    On the first week after installing my friend & I were watching workers in my apt. from another location via the camera & caught one of them going through my dresser drawers actually touching my undergarments in a very creepy manner. I couldn't get the camera to record this so I am glad I had a witness & that is my only complaint - the set up could be easier & more user friendly. I have another dlink can that was much easier to set up than this one. The overkill with features is confusing. I just want a simple set up that allows me to monitor & record. Its working right now but it took me a bit to figure this out. There isn't a clear direction for WiFi vs cellular & I used up all my cellular data in having it set up wrong. All in all worth the money though.

    Connection problems

    I bought this camera to put into my mom's house so I can check on her. I took it out of the package, read the setup instructions and started the process. The first 5 times I tried to connect it to the WiFi it gave me an error half way through the process. I then hardwired it - same error. I called the support desk - eventually told me the camera was faulty and I should return it - I did and got another one. Same friggin issue so, they told me that it will only connect to 2.4ghz connection. So after an hour on the phone with Xfinity, I split the router so I could connect to the 2.4G - after several attempts - SAME THING. Back to D-link support. Told me I should return again but find one with firmware 1.01 or 1.00 (instead of the FW 1,02 on the one I had) RIGHT - I'm going to go back and forth to a store to buy a product that obviously has not been fully tested on a leading cable system!! Taking it back and buying a different camera.

    I bought this camera to put into my house so I can check on it while I'm away. Got it home and took it out of the package, after reading the setup instructions attempted to get it going. The first time I tried to connect it to the WiFi it gave me a error half way through the process. So instead I hardwire it and attempted it again. Once again I was met with the same error. After getting mad that it wouldn't connect I called the support desk and asked if there was any tricks. They told me that it will only connect to 2.4ghz connection. So I disabled the 5.0 on my router and attempted it once more. About 3/4 of the way into connecting it gave me an error again. Lets just say I'm returning this camera all together.
