If you set it to record while you are not home, you may need to disable the sound. I was receiving notifications every 2 to 3 minutes because it picked up the cars driving by the house. Other than that, it works fine.

Set up is very easy. Had mine set up in less than 15 minutes.

I've had this camera for about five months. Yes, it works SOMETIMES. It often disconnects, and I have to go through the hassle of trying to get it to reconnect to the router. I have to try it over and over using WPS. Won't connect. I try setting it up manually. It won't connect. It's hit or miss, and sometimes, it suddenly connects. Most annoying is when both times I was out of town - IT DISCONNECTED. And when it is disconnected, you cannot do anything with it. I've read that firmware updates will cause it disconnect, but you cannot update it because the app no longer recognizes the camera. You have to delete the camera from the app, and start all over again. This final time, I have tried it way too many times for the past couple of days to get it to reconnect, using various methods, and its just not taking. My router and network service are working as they should; and I am not encountering any problems with any other devices. It is this camera that is the problem. It is now completely useless, and a waste of $75.

Motion detection doesn't work properly. I will jump in front of it for 30 seconds but it never detects me. But there could be a shadow cast from a cloud and the camera will detect motion. Also I think there is a lag because if it records a person, the person will already be exiting the frame. It took over an hr to set up the software. Didn't work on Mac and couldn't log on website but I got it to work on iPhone. I wish I could return it but I thought I had 30 days :/

720p and very pixelated when you try and zoom in. The App is a bit clunky as well. It's fine but no camera movement or audio intercom. You can get a lot more out of something like the canary or zmodo.

I'm having issue with the cameras staying connected. They get really hot and I believe that's why they keep malfunctioning. Dlink hasn't helped yet so don't know if I will return them or not. I have purchased one a year ago it it was fine. But the 2 I just purchased a couple days a ago over heat and don't stay connected to the wifi. Also sucks is you can't access the camera setting unless the camera is connected. So I have no way to change the setting to adjust the sensitivity levels to stop them from over working. Either way they shouldnt over heat.
