It works and gives clear video image with remote viewing. Onboard micro SD storage with motion detection. You'll need to format SD card first.
Need to create a web-based D-link account to setup. Would strongly prefer total setup by local means only, but I guess everyone and their cat deserves to own your information now. Your mileage may vary.

I purchased this product and two other D-Link cameras at the last minute prior to going away on vacation. Set up was extremely easy - had it up and running within a couple of minutes. The pan and tilt functions worked great - keep in mind you control this via the app, the camera does not scan the area automatically. Night vision was excellent. I used a miniSD card to record - as well as recorded directly via the app to my phone. Audio and motion detection are extremely sensitive so be sure to take the time to properly set them.

This item gets a four because the set up was a bit complex. It was nothing though that you couldn't read the instructions and figure out. Camera produces a clear imagine and you can view the camera through your app.

Set-up on phone by downloading the App was easy, learning curve was not, need a micro sd card to operate, so get one with it. I got a 64Gb and works fine. Once set and programed it works fine

Easy to set up; reasonably priced. Picture quality is decent, and works well with both mobile IOS and Android devices. Pan, tilt, and zoom all easily controlled remotely from phone.

I have a separate home security system but you can always use some extra cameras. Image quality, sound and motion, are very good. DLink cloud service and easy setup add to the value. Remote smart phone Pan and Tilt work well half the world away, no more lag than you'd expect.

This camera is super easy to setup and use in your home. It has a motion and sound detection, so it can notify you by email when detected. My only wish is that the camera would stay on as long as you wanted, but it does time out after a bit, so you can't just leave it on.

I really like this camera but i don't like the 2mb files it does i wish it did more lie a 50mb file then sent it to the FTP but i guess there is not that much memory in it. other than that the image quality is great night vision is outstanding for the price. easy to set up on the wireless. I could not get the barecode APP thing to work.

I use this to monitor after school activity of my kids and it works pretty good. I can access it easily from my Android Phone and the image is pretty good as well. I use it sitting in a window and can pan from outside to inside which is handy. The motion activation will drive you nuts (with the notification on your phone) if it sees a lot of changes in the image ie- sunny to cloudy, sun rising etc.... it looks for pixel changes and reflections or direct sun or something will change the pixels. Wish it had audio intercom but not a big deal. Seems to be built well and setup was fairly straight forward if you use their setup method..
A little pricy but worth the security of knowing that the kids or dogs or elderly person or whatever is OK.

I have purchased 2 of these so far. No issues so far. I use in-doors. One in the main living area and one pointed out a window.
The built in software and/or DLINK website allows decent configuration. I use my Android to view the cameras remotely and locally.
Email event triggers works good (Motion or Sound activated). Has the ability to map out fields with No Trigger Zones when using motion detection. Pan/tilt/zoom. Mirroring and image flip are supported. DHCP/Static work and DLINK provides easy remote viewing using their website/DDNS setup.
I record using the MicroSD slot and simultaneously to my Qnap 451+ NAS..
ONLY gripe(S) so far is the built in camera config software of the DETECTION zones and viewing live feeds = requires using a browser with JAVA support... AND there seems to be an issue with a recent version of FIREFOX..

Camera stays online and is very clear the app could use some work but otherwise I'll be getting more :) in my opinion better than the wide eye 180 as that camera has a tendency to lose connectivity.

Easy Setup, clear, App is easy to use, love the concave lens so you can see much more of the area. The only trouble was it would fall offline periodically, Wifi or LAN, but eventually it would come back on itself. Otherwise I would have to manually unplug it and plug it back in. This isn't very good since it is a security camera and needs to be accessible at all times.

I would give this a 5 star rating if the set up was not as difficult as it was. I am in IT and this was very hard to get online. Customer service is horrible. Spent 2 hrs on the phone with them and still no connection. Firmware needed updated. Was going to return the next day but when I went to mess with it it was online and has worked perfectly ever since. Night vision is great. daytime pic is perfect. sound does cut in and out streaming but is fine in playback mode.Functions are very nice and work flawlessly

Had a lot of trouble setting up with my WiFi network, but now that it’s hooked up it is working well. Picture quality seems good and I like the fact that you can rotate the camera to get different views in the room.

I bought this camera to work with a Synology server. However after some troubleshooting realized my server was too old for this camera’s technology. Anyway, that being said I was going to try and use the camera as a stand-alone however the user interface was not very stable. Definitely has connection issues as well as their cloud app that you could use to view the feed didn’t work really at all.
