The only reason for buying a refrigerator this expensive without all the features of the newer standard size is that a contractor put in a contractor size refrigerator when he built the house. So you have no choice but to shell out a ridiculous sum of money. It's nice looking and functions well but overall, it's an average refrigerator. However it is way better than the GE Profile we replaced.

We love this refrigerator, so far. However, we have requested an exchange, which will happen July 13th. The motor is very loud. It’s actually louder than our the 20 year old Frigidaire that it replaced. That’s the only point we have as a comparison, but believe, according to other reviews, that it should be much quieter. Fingers are crossed. Otherwise, the size is amazing. It’s perfect for us. The frig part is an excellent height level to reach the most commonly used items. Although the door won’t hold a gallon container that is not a problem for us as we only purchase half gallon products, which fit just fine. The dairy and veggie drawers roll very well. There are three and each is large. The bottom one is low so we tend not to use it much. The freezer holds all that we need, comfortably. The ice and water in the door easily accommodate a large glass. Finally, walking up and opening those heavy doors feels so professional. The quality and substantial size make me feel like a cook that has a purpose. Very nice touch. Thumbs up!

Once get over the sticker price of built ins, this is a great product. Love the look, the lighting is great, space good, install from the BBY team was flawless and amazing. Do not try and self install, it’s a beast!

Have had this fridge for about 3 years. It's fine, and it fits our kitchen and has a water and ice dispenser, which was the selling point in 2021. Now I wish I had waited for the Sub Zero version. The ice dispenser is finnicky. You push the button and sometimes you get 2 cubes and sometimes you get 20. It's impossible to tell which you'll get. It's occasionally noisy and recently started making a ticking noise, which was diagnosed as a dying fan. $1,600 repair later, and the fridge can keep going. The repair guy tell me this is extremely common for these samsung owned fridges. After a few of these repairs, it would have paid for a new fridge.

We've had the Dacor side-by-side for just over 6 months now and it's great, no complaints as long as you understand that it's storage capacity is on the small side. When we reno'd our kitchen we added an under-counter beverage fridge which freed up just enough space to make the size of this fridge absolutely fine. Prior to finding this product we were planning on buying a high-end "counter depth" fridge because we weren't willing to pay the $10k+ that seemingly all built-in brands wanted. I believe there was one other built-in in this price range but the quality of that fridge left a lot to be desired. This fridge was a game changer. It also does keep food fresh much longer than our previous KitchenAid fridge. The only thing I wish was different would be that we didn't want an in-door water/ice dispenser. We would have much preferred a cleaner look of not having it. I'm thrilled we found this brand and this fridge. It has a look & performance that are unmatched IMO.

Dacor 24 CuFt Side by Side Refrigerator is an absolutely Beautiful Built in Refrigerator with so many exceptional features! It is Quiet, Spacious, Elegant, and absolutely Incredible! We are quite satisfied that we selected this refrigerator! Also, Best Buy did a fantastic job of installing it, especially considering they had only a few inches to spare in around the center island in the kitchen. 5 Star!!!

We’ve had the Dacor for about a month now and so far so good (it was a replacement for our GE Mono that lasted for over 18 years). We initially looked at the GE Mono to replace because we were concerned about the fit but the Best Buy rep told us all 42” built ins were basically the same dimensions and fit for other brands wouldn’t be a problem. So that opened us up to other brands and the Dacor had a much more modern look and feel than the GE Monogram (the new one was almost a carbon copy of our 18 year old one). Added bonus was that the Dacor was over $3k less than the GE Mono. We weren’t as familiar with the Dacor brand so we did some research on it - Dacor is the luxury brand of appliances from Samsung and has been in business for over 50 years. Online reviews spoke well of Dacor as a top luxury appliance. After a month of use really no complaints. It fit perfectly and looks great. Love the modern digital interface on the door which includes freezer and fridge temperatures. Haven’t figured out what the WiFi option is yet though… Only minor complaint is that there is a slight lag in the ice dispenser mechanism - after switching from water dispense to ice, there is a couple seconds lag when you depress the dispense pltebwfore the ice comes out. I give the Dacor 42” a 9/10 so far. Only time will tell if it can last as long as our 18 year old Monogram.

This stainless steel refrigerator is solid. It’s us very spacious for a side by side. The interior lighting is very bright which illuminates the shelves very well. The freezer has plenty of space with both shelves and drawers so organizing and viewing what is in it is very easy and makes finding frozen items very simple.

The refrigerator is okay, but the front is not fingerprint proof. It still has tape markings and finger print markings from the delivery date. I've tried everything I could think of, but I can't seem to get rid of them. I've tried lemon juice, baking soda, rubbing alcohol, Mr. clean sponge, but nothing works. If would be great if they sold the unit with a cleaner.

Replaced a 15 year-old GE Profile built-in that matched the cabinets, but this refrigerator looks very nice in its place. However, even on the warmest setting the freezer is still too cold for ice cream. It makes it hard as a brick. Also, should note that it's not a smudge-proof finish so all fingerprints show making it a little hard to keep it shiny and clean. Wouldn't recommend for a household with young children. The inside lighting makes it easy to locate the contents.

Dacor built in refrigerator/freezer is a beautiful, efficient unit. It is quiet and the water and ice dispenser are easy to use . Oh, did I mention Quiet?

This is a great refrigerator. It replaced a GE Monogram that lasted 23 years. It looks great, has all LED lighting inside and is quiet as a church mouse. The only thing I am not pleased with is that stainless steel takes a bunch of cleaning to look good.

We love this built in- the lighting is placed in logical places and very bright. The water/ice is very handy. We love the spacious shelves on the doors. Overall, an efficient unit.

Very nice refrigerator with all the features that all the high end manufacturers offer. Whisper quiet, well lit and sturdy. Sale price made it a steal. Should be reliable due to Samsung componentry.

When our 7 year old refrigerator could not be repaired, we were looking for a replacement. I searched a lot on internet and kept coming back to the Dacor DYF42SBIWR. Luckily it was in stock at the Pacific Sales showroom in Torrance, CA. We ordered it and was delivered & installed a week later. The refrigerator is very quiet, works very well. It is specious with good size drawers that we can fill with fruits and vegetables. The freezer is good size as well. The stainless steel doors are easy to keep clean of smudges. We whole-heartedly recommend this product!

Super quiet unit and quite spacious, Very classy looking, delivery was as scheduled. Installation was done professionally and overall, I am quite pleased with this refrigerator. I chose this brand because it was recommended by Consumer Reports over other more expensive units. I highly recommend Dacor if you are looking for quality!!

Had the fridge for about 3 months at this point. Very pleased with everthing about thus far. From outside look, functionality, interior layout and lighting.

This built-in refrigerator presents a crisp, clean, commercial appearance. We bought the unit to replace a kitchenaid built-in refrigerator. It is solidly built, well-crafted and fits the empty space perfectly. We gave the unit 4 stars because the stainless steel is not fingerprint resistant and it is a month old (time is needed to fully judge the build quality).

Great product, The interior and the functions are great, the freezer door is lighter than refrigerator door, and slow closing option does not work very well and takes a lot of time to close, and if you try to push it to close there is a resistance. The refrigerator door closes faster.

Did not know about Decor brand prior to this purchase. Good company that made quality appliance produccts in South San Francisco ( city of Industry ) but later bought by Samsung and kept as their high end offering. Fridge is now made in Korea but is still quality and resonably priced compared to all other Built-in unit we looked at.
