Replaced a traditional cooktop with an Induction. Works very well. Since the top does not get as hot, things tend to not burn on the surface as easily. I knew we needed new pots and pans for an induction since our old set was not magnetic. Layout is interesting. Would have been nice to have the bigger burners in front. The smart app is kind of a joke and not necessary. You can set the timer if the cooktop is on. You can't adjust the burners with the app but you can see what level they are at and if they are on. As noted, it is made by Samsung which made registering the product confusing. Couldn't register online at Dacor, but could register at Samsung.

I think writing a review about a new purchase isn’t much use, but after I got over the initial irritation with this unit l forgot to write a review. I have now had this cooktop for two years and I’m still frustrated about the purchase. The touch pad is located between, instead of in front of, the front heating pads which means the entire unit shuts itself off if something inevitably spills on the touch pad. Also, its complete guesswork getting the desired heat level set because the ridiculous circular heating elements are not back-lit. See the photo supplied by the manufacturer. This is my fourth induction cooktop, having moved so many times over the past many years. My IKEA induction cooktop at $800, at my most recent prior address was much better. This is a Samsung with an expensive (Dacor) label. I would definitely not recommend this brand of induction cooktop.

Love this induction cooktop. I had an old decor cooktop and did some upgrading in my recent small remodel. Easy to use. And love the induction especially. Easy to clean.
