This is the best microwave for someone looking for small but good featured unit. Got this a month back and is working perfect since then. Same unit was available with other store, called customer care and price matched with no issues.

For 900 watts, sure does pack the punch. Love the size, does not take up too much room. Stainless and black on outside looks classy. Great price. Where you press the most used buttons, power, start, and stop, thin clear cover is starting to pucker up. Haven't tried yet to see if there is a thin clear protective cover over the keyboard to pull off. Great microwave so far. Would buy again.

    Good choice for middle kitchen

It is a good choice for at least a middle kitchen, not a small one. Although it says 0.9 Cu. Ft, it is much bigger than normal 0.7 Cu. Ft microwaves and even doesn't takes much less space than the 1.1 ones. The Stainless-Steel decoration looks great, but the buttons are not so pleasant. Sometimes I have to press them really hard to make it work. I am worry that I might break it by keeping do this. It is pretty powerful, easy to clean and I hope it can last for long time.

    Good Microwave for the money

Good microwave for the money. It is good looking and I very much prefer a handle. It seems to work better opening and closing. I have had no trouble with the length of time cooking. Everything has been evenly cooked. The only problem I have had is how light the unit is. It moves too easily around.

    Pretty Good So Far

So far this microwave has been working well for me. Doesn't take up too much space on the countertop which was what I was mostly looking for. Two things I don't like so far though (but aren't the end of the world). 1. When the kitchen timer is going, you can't use the microwave itself, unless I haven't been doing something right. 2. To type in a certain amount of time, say 1min 45seconds you have to first hit the power level button, and then type the time in. Otherwise if you just try to type 1min 45 in it'll start the 1min time right away. It's also a little bit loud to close, but that's no deal breaker either.

This is my third one of these micorwaves. One died after a couple of years so for the price I was not too disappointed. It has nice features and good power. I would buy again!

Great Purchase for the Office Kitchenette

After our 13 year old microwave died, we were looking for something a lot more functional, space saving and stylish. We succeeded in all areas with the Danby Designer 0.9 Cu. Ft. compact microwave! It is perfect for the two offices (approx. 12 to 14 people) that share the kitchenette and use it for heating lunches, snacks and cups of coffee or tea that have gone cold. And the price was excellent too!

I don't have any major complaints with the microwave so far. I find myself having to go back and push buttons harder than before because it didn't go through the first time. It's a little annoying having to set the power level each time. You have to press power level however many times to get the level you want. I wish there was a feature so set it at a slightly lower level. It comes with a replacement display, so that's a nice bonus. The chime for pressing buttons and finished cycle is kinda loud. I have mine sitting on my bakers rack and its a little flimsy so opening my microwave requires two hands sometimes, since the door uses a handle. Other than that, it's pretty good. I bought it because I had a $30 reward card, putting it in my price range after the reward. Frankly, I think the price is a little steep for what you get. More in the $40-$50 price range would've been more fitting.

My wife wanted a stainless steel looking microwave

My wife wanted a stainless steel looking microwave to replace our old outdated microwave but we were limited to a 19 inch width in a custom built cabinet and there were not a lot of options. I purchased the Danby product because of its reputation and good reviews. I don't like the light gray labels on the black background because the the cabinet mentioned above doesn't get a lot of natural light and it's difficult to read the microwave buttons. I would have preferred bold white labels instead. We had to install a small LED light above the microwave to add some light to see the microwave buttons. I contacted Danby and here's their e-mail response: "Unfortunately there is no way to brighten the display. I believe they were going for an aesthetics with the gray letters and numbers." For Danby, it appears that it's looks over functionality. I have to answer the recommendation question as a reluctant yes because someone younger might be able to see the gray letters better than me and it may help if it were located in a better lighted area. Unfortunately, I don't have another option. It does have the power that I wanted and I am more than satisfied with the cooking performance.

Just remodeled our kitchen and we opted not to do above range Microwave since we don't use a microwave much anymore. I wanted a small, but attractive microwave to go with my other new appliances. It looks very nice. If a microwave can be called "classy", it looks to be so. Haven't used it much, but is simple to use.

This Danby model is why I keep shopping at Best Buy.com: It provides good power for most microwaved food. It has decent room for large items. It is reasonably priced.

The microwave looks good, cooks well and I enjoy the add 30 second button. It is a good choice for the budget side of the appliance market. I need to read the instructions though as there a few different settings.

This is a good microwave for someone looking for a compact microwave at an inexpensive price. It was a little to light weight for me. I found when opening the door I had to hold it so that I did not pull it off the counter. It would have been nice if the bottom had some type of rubber coverings so that it would not slide around so easily. I returned it and got one that had a push button to open the door.
