No freezer and no top hinge

The 15 yr. old one has been moved to the garage, having always had a problem building ice-dams at the interior drain hole no matter what I did or how many times I moved it; it now works perfectly for some reason... This new one has Never had that problem! I took a chance on this model again because it's the only one I could find without a hinge cover that sticks up and keeps me from being able to put my office printer on top of it and opening the bottom paper drawer, and it's All Fridge (no freezer) which is what I want for beverages/snacks in the home office. I chose Best Buy over the 2 other retailers because of their return policy in case of a problem, and they have a local store to return it to; the return shipping $ would have been ridiculous. Energy Star.

Perfect little fridge

Quiet and cold!

Thankfully, this is a super quiet unit. Very slight hum, and when the compressor kicks in, it's very quiet. No rattles, no shakes. Holds a good amount of beer bottles and cans. I say go for it if you want something that keeps things super cold and is very quiet!

Nice unit, really like the interior design.

The cooling coil is along the back wall of the interior which is a better design than the traditional horseshoe cooling coil that many small refrigerators have which takes up shelf space in the interior. The trade off is that you can't make ice with this unit but that's fine for what I bought it for as I don't need it to make ice. It's a little pricey compare to others in the same size range but it was highly reviewed and the design is what I was looking for.

For the price, it should have also come with glass shelves. We had a specific space to fit and I wasn’t finding anything else or I would have returned this. It looks nice cosmetically though

The door no longer seals, causing the unit to run constantly. Ice builds up on the compressor, which turns into a puddle. It destroyed my carpet and doesn’t keep my drinks cold. Waste of money.

It’s important to us that our customers are more than satisfied, and we would like the opportunity to resolve this issue immediately. There are many reasons why a newly purchased mini fridge would show such issues. One of the main reasons is the wrong method of operation. We always recommend letting the unit rest for a few hours before using it, in order to avoid any malfunction of the unit due to moving the unit between the retail store and the customer's home. Keep the fridge inside and away from a hot water heater or furnace. Too much heat or cold causes your unit to work overtime. The result? Frost. Don't block your airflow by pushing it too close to the wall. Don't overstock the freezer or leave it too empty. Somewhere in between is ideal for regulating your freezer's temperature. Lastly, please give your unit a hard reboot. Unplug it and plug it back in after 15-20 minutes. This allows the unit to go back to factory settings. If you still encounter the same issue after performing the hard reboot, don't hesitate to contact our consumer support team at consumerservice@danby.com or fill out your information at https://www.danby.com/support/
